The only managers, post war to win the league for Everton were Catterick and Kendall. Catterick signed Kendall as a player. I’ve always thought it would’ve been great to have one of Kendall’s signings take over as manager in the 90s; could’ve been Reid, he probably wasn’t sexy enough but it would’ve been great.
