- Showing you how I make the most tender Pork Chops that you will ever taste using Campbell's Golden Mushroom and Cream of Mushroom Soup, along with a can of mushroom pieces and stems and then bake them at 400 degrees for 90 minutes.

Deb, I made this and it was DELISH! I had bone in chops so I used them. I seasoned & browned them in a frying pan and took them out, and used the amount of water (that you said to mix in with the soups) to pick up the Fond and Brown bits up...then added all that to the soups...and proceeded exactly as you did. WOW, was that ever good. Thanks so much for your great ideas.
I tried this yesterday for supper and both my Mom and myself agree that they were the best pork chops that we'd ever eaten and I'm 58 and she's 83. So when we say that they were the best we'd ever eaten that's not to be taken lightly as between the two of us we've eaten a whole hell of a lot of pork chops in our lives. I'm now going to send this video to everyone that I know who likes pork chops and urge them to try it. I'll be making it for years to come. =)
MAKING IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!! IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!
LOVE CIN
I love your onscreen funny comments. You are NOT losing your mind, you are just a busy cook doing a bang up job. THANK YOU for this great video. Love from Oregon. :)
Good country food!
Nothing better.
-Thank you Ms. Debbie
I always coat mine in with some flour and brown them in the cast iron skillet on both sides, then i take them out and add the mushroom gravy, scraping all the goodies off of the bottom of the pan, then I return the pork chops in the pan with the soup and let them cook for about a half hour to 45 mins. and they are delicous that way too.
I watch you all the time and trust you totally! God Bless
I just made this tonight, and it turned out really well. So easy. I made a couple of slight changes to the recipe: I used bone-in pork chops because I already had bought them. I used two cans of regular cream of mushroom soup, because that's what I had in my cupboard. And I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned, because I had some to use up. Seasoned with pepper and a small bit of seasoning salt. Go easy with the salt because canned soup is already quite salty. Baked 45 minutes covered, and about another 45 uncovered - until the chops were browning on top and there was a browned 'crust' starting to form on the sauce. The chops were falling off the bone tender. My new favorite recipe.
Thank you so much. That made my day. So glad you liked them!!
My chops are a bit thinner cut. Do I still bake them for 90 minutes?
cook it for 89 mins
What temp u cook the chops
You just gave me back faith that my chops will come out good❣ I had such thick chops i couldn't help but stuff them. I finely diced one McIntosh apple and added it to Stove top stuffing. I stuffed the pockets of 5 thick chops. I added 3 cans of cream of mushroom soup, 1 can water, one can low sodium chicken broth and 1/2 can of water. Added ground peppercorn and a bit of salt, put pats of butter, put the top on and it went in pre heated 350 oven, but then I put oven up to 400. After 45 mins, the top will come off and I'll put it back for another 45 or so, as you comment you did. Your time frame on how you did your chops, 45 min covered, 45 mins uncovered gave me the faith to think "this should come out alright". Thanks to you and Debbie❣I'll let you know as soon as they-re done🤗
My mom makes this for us and OMFG do I love it. You’re right! It literally melts in your mouth!! So very good and the very definition of comfort food. My mom compliments the pork chops with cheesy scalloped potatoes.

Always lookin for new ways to cook pork and I think this is a good one.
This looks GOOD. I'm looking for baked center cut recipes because I'm making dinner for my fiancee and my brother tonight. I have all of these ingredients in my pantry, and it looks so great. I'm going to start now!
Hi Debbie, I have been making the basic smothered pork chop most of my life by just using the flour water and kitchen bouquet method (and that's good too) but I decided to look on the web and see how others made it just to try something different. I am a private C.N.A. and I have a patient that has lost most of his taste bud,(and getting him to like everything is a task) well long story made short, after viewing several videos, I decided to try yours and IT WAS AWESOME!!!!., your recipe made my day easier.
Thank You from Charleston, SC,
WOW, what a compliment and what a way to wake up early on a Sunday morning and read!! You made my day!! I love it when people give me a compliment like yours. Thank you so so very much!! I hope you have a wonderful day too because you just made mine. :)
Trish Taylor
Day has gone really
just made this for the first time anxiously waiting for it to be done! Yumm!
Please let me know what you think of it after you eat it. 😁
Looks good. Will try it tonight.
I made this last night, it was great!
Usually when I bake pork chops I get the thick bone-in ones, which I sear on both sides in a frying pan first. I use the same pan to sautee mushrooms, then mix the mushrooms in with cream of mushroom soup, some water, & a little bit of gravy darkener. I put the pork chops in a baking dish & pour the soup over, cover with foil & cook REAL low, about 250-300°F for about an hr to an hr and a half, keeping them covered the whole time. Real tender & delicious, but for someone who likes their gravy on the thicker side it's too "soupy" for me. I think I'll give this version a try, thanks for posting
I love this recipe. I use milk instead of water, but either way is great! Thanks for the video!
so good
Wow, these look great! Have you or anyone else ever tried Campbell's Cream of Mushroom with Roasted Garlic? Just takes Cream of Mush to another level. Thank you again for another amazing recipe I can't wait to try for my family!

You used some good looking pork chops. The boneless ones are our favorite. What an easy recipe, I am going to have to make. Love to cook when I am feeling good. Have had a few rough days, Just waiting for the flare up to get done so I can get back in the kitchen. Quite a few of your recipes I want to try. Another TU for you Deb.
Thank you from Georgia spices I only use is pepper and garlic powder cause of my blood pressure. Great video
Mrs Debbie you sure do make the best looking food. I am making your baked beans tonight but I may have to make these as well.
my girlfriend is allergic to mushrooms so i tried cream of chicken and cream of celery instead...turned out just as good and made a fantastic gravy for the mashed potatoes also!!

Yum yum yum yum! Making this tonight for sure. But just throw the damned mushrooms in the soup, lol. It’s all goin’ in the pot anyway. Thank you for this. 👍🏽❤️
I WILL be doing this in about 5 minutes. Our 4 Chops are on the counter , Thankyou. (I was actually going to quick sear them first on stove) , then add the soup etc....this sounds wayyyy easier. I can hardly wait!
I'm trying these tonight :)
This will be my first time making baked or stuffed pork chops. After watching a few different videos, yours looks delicious, tender and no fail. Thank you for uploading your recipe(s)❣👍
Tried this recipe twice. Both times perfect. Served with rice.
Ohhhh thank you so much!! I have never served them with rice. We are more of a mashed potato family. LOL Thanks for watching and trying them. That means so much!!!
That looked and sounded so good I would even bake biscuits right on top of that.
YES!!!
Biscuits cooked on top...brilliant! Thank you
Making tonight..right now!
I'm going to try it tonight. It sounds and looks great, but the instructions up top say to bake for 90 minutes rather than 60!! Thank you and I HAVE SUBSCRIBED. You even SOUND like a good Southern cook!!
Looks really good.. Subbed!
Yummi going to try tomorrow night 😇👍
Looks very good. Dead simple and I don't have to get on Amazon to find some obscure, exotic ingredient to finish the dish. Of course, I have a few thoughts about tweaking the recipe but, that's part of cooking. Thank you.
Looks great, only i have fresh mushrooms so, I hope those work! Thanks so much!
Making this tonight
Mmmmm:) looks pretty tasty
Thank you for sharing - I'm a new subbie :0)
As it happens, I am making pork sirloin chops for dinner this evening, so I will use a modification of this recipe; modified because I just made a dinner with a pound of mushrooms last night, so I don't have any available (and I'd be pushing it with the family). I'm planning to use cream of mushroom with roasted garlic, and I think I also have a can of cream of celery. I will use some cooked, softened onions in place of the canned mushrooms, and will most likely incorporate some garlic, because I'm wild about pork with garlic. That aside, I'll be following your recipe to the letter, more or less, and will advise on how well it worked.
Hi Debbie,
I am looking forward to trying this tonight and want to know what you normally cook with this. I am new to cooking, so I don't always pair the right things. :-)
Damn I’m Hungry!
have you tried this with onion and green pepper and fried mushrooms?? its sooo gooood. another thing I do is I brown the chops in the same pan, the browning gives it alot more flavour
Browning the meat on both sides adds flavor to beef and pork roast, chops, chicken. I do the same.
Try pan browning the chops and using Cream of celery soup instead of the mushroom soups and some diced onions. Cook the same way as yours
Thank you, looks lovely. Can you freeze this in individual zip locks? 🥩
You forgot 1 thing my Plate 😋 God bless 🙏
Thank you for sharing this delicious looking recipe. What temperature did you bake these on?
The pork chops turned out great and the rice was real good. Oh I'd love to see you make your mom chicken casserole a lot! It sounds SO good!! Please make that for us I'd love to make it =) will you make your moms casserole real soon? Pretty please?
this looks absolutely delicious. i would serve it with creamy mash potatos
I usually do serve them with mashed potatoes and use the gravy over the potatoes. They are so good. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. :)
The reason why I watched this was because my mom does something very similar. this is one of my favs. Have you ever tryed a mushroom sause mixed in with burger beef into a nice thick stew. over mashed tatoes?
My favourite
It's so good, isn't it? Thanks for commenting!!
It’s very good I searched it to see if anyone else makes it besides me lol . Yours looks better than mine do . The thick pork chops look amazing
I do the same,, just different I put onions, garlic, peas,& carrots, & real butter,, it all, good,, with home made biscuits,,
Serve that with mashed potatoes, corn bread it is so good.
Would love it if you can post the written recipe so we can copy and print it to keep in our own recipe files because this is delicious.
ravenblackhawke I hope to be able to do that soon. I am in the process of packing and moving now and once I get settled that will be one thing I will be doing. I just let all of my websites go back but I will be putting the recipes in the description box under the video. Thanks for watching and commenting. I love that you did that. Big hugs, Debbie
Thanks so much, and good luck with your packing and moving:).
Many thanks and Happy Holidays:).
Debbie, I had some pork chops thawed out and I needed to cook them. I found your recipe so I went ahead and made this=). I did toss in a handful of rice tho. I have a excellent one dish called chicken and rice dish I make ( with broccoli ) that is SO good!! Do you make a one dish chicken and rice dish? I can smell my pork chops cooking now! I hope the rice will be ok, I only had 3 small pork chops and a lot of liquid.
Please let me know what you thought of them. The rice idea sounds wonderful. We just are not big rice fans. We are more the mashed potatoes kind of people. LOL I really don't have a recipe for pork chops and rice but my mom has a recipe for a chicken casserole with rice, broccoli, etc and I have been wanting to fix that. May try that soon. Thanks for watching and commenting. :)
can i use anything other then mushroom??
I have done this for years. My Nanny's recipe! I dont do water. I split 50 / 50 with cream of broccoli.
Whens the next party? Looking forward to it
You had me at mushrooms lmao
+scott o This is one of my top ten videos and has been for years now and my gosh, my whole family and all my friends love them like this. Try it, you will like it. Have a great day!!
Thanks for the recipe/presentation, Debbie; delish! Love these chops. I've made them twice and I only watched the video yesterday. I took your hint and peppered it up good. While preparing it I halfway boiled some tiny yellow potatoes and added them to the mix just before sliding everything in the oven.
Do you refrigerate leftover soup and reheat it later for biscuits? Or is there never any left over......lol? Thanks again.
Sorry, I have not answered you. I have been really sick. This is my favorite way to make pork chops. They are so good and so tender and yes if we have leftover gravy from them, it is definitely saved for biscuits or toast. Thank you so much for commenting and trying this. It means so much!!
***** Debbie, I have prepared this possibly 80 times since learning about it from this video 6 months ago and wanted to update you now that I've mastered it. It's my favorite dish obviously, normally I wouldn't go overboard, but besides loving it, there's another reason, which I'll get to. This reason has caused a few 'adjustments' because I'm batching it. Cooking this dish for one [and a senior at that] wasn't too much of a challenge. Wal-Mart has decent prices on the thin chops I prefer; though I'm compelled to buy five or six chops at a time that will go bad in 4 days if not consumed. Buying 5 chops on Sunday morning that need to gone by Wednesday night is why I'm forced to eat this so often, Wal-Mart doesn't do onesey-twosey packs of thin chops. Rest assured, Debbie, eating 80 chops your way was no burden, I devoured every bite with what I'm sure was a stupid grin on my face.
I don't do leftovers and cook one chop at a time so the preparation has evolved in my kitchen. In a Tupperware bowl I combine two cans of Golden Mushroom soup with one family size can of Cream of Mushroom, blending till they're the color of butterscotch. I use more soup and less water for a thicker gravy, and still throw a small potato or two in with the chop. Then it's baked at 375 in a Revereware 2 quart pot without the lid, the first half hour with a flat sheet of foil on top of the pot, hat-like, never crimped down (spending 20 minutes scrubbing with a Choregirl ain't my idea of a good time). Turning off the heat after 30 minutes I remove the foil (to reuse next time---it's spotless) and leave the pot in the oven another half hour, or longer, till this old boy is good and ready to chow.
When I make this for others and they start slobbering like Pavlov's dogs and spewing compliments I always give you credit, Debbie. Thanks again, girl!
DAGDRUM53 WOW you gave this old woman a big smile oh her face tonight and made it feel so worthwhile that I put my videos on CZcams. That is the best compliment I have had in a while. Thank you so much for updating me and giving me the reason to keep on keeping on!!!!!!!
