I usually don't make a full video to discuss selling a bag, but I wanted to do it because this bag was such a special part of my collection. I'm going to miss my cute little Birkin 25, but that's okay - it's for the best.

We should all do luxury bag buying like this. After finding your channel I am rethinking how I buy bags. Set a 10k budget and buy one use for a year and resell and get the next. Too many expensive bags sitting in my dressing room for nothing
Makes total sense. There is not a scarsity of luxury bags so you don't have to make decisions based on fear. Each bag has to compete based on how much you wear and it's cost to keep it's place.
My eight year old told me the reason why she used it nine times it’s because she didn’t want to get it dirty.😂😂. I sold three bags and took an immediate vacation lol… No regrets because they were not practical.

Well, she shared with me last year that she just did not like them anymore, same things you were saying about yours…. she also was questioning in her mind why she paid more money for mini bags and annoyed that she paid so much when they are more expensive than large bags and have less materials , craftsmanship etc🧐…..so she said for the last 2 years she sold all of her Hermes and all except 1 designer mini bags, she now creates lists of what bags she loves and then began her very interesting journey …..of purchasing her lux bags when they are not popular and or are vintage and most importantly when they are low in price….💥WOW you should see her new beautiful growing collection, she added up the original price of all of the bags in her current collection now vs the price she paid and wowza she has saved $$$$$$$$$…and she is so happy too🤗, so dear, keep doing you and growing your bag collection just for YOU💗
not carrying a bag that you worry about outside is such freedom. at one point i don't wanna take care of such an expensive bag anymore..

Thank you for describing your thought process to us. I am in my “multiple $2K” bag stage but feel like i’m migrating toward starting my Hermes journey. Glad to hear from someone going the opposite direction that I may be happy just staying where I am.

Congrats on coming to such a big decision! It's crazy to me to have a +$10k bag that is frustrating to wear, even if it is super desirable. Get stuff that is super desirable TO YOU.
I sold my b25 black Togo phw. The handles are oddly small. I was so OVER it! 30 really is the ideal size imo.
I have 30 and 25 and I keep saying, having just one, it would be the 30. 25 is just cute, that’s it, cute! 😂 Carrying it around only in your hand is nothing but practical. I cannot stop thanking my SA for offering me the 30 first, she knew it’s a way more practical bag. I don’t get rid of ant of my bag but you are not like me! 😂 You are fearless about it, I don’t think you will regret.
Also I want to commend you for being so mature and rational when it comes to your possessions. We all have a tendency to get too wrapped up in our stuff and let it have too much power over us

I agree completely. I’ve never been attracted to the Birkin 25 because I know I don’t like bags I can’t wear a couple different ways. The tiny handles would annoy me. I’m selling a Delvaux bag that I wish I liked more and understand your thought process; it just doesn’t work for my lifestyle and I haven’t worn it enough to make it worth keeping at this moment in time. I like the idea of it but it just doesn’t work. I didn’t tell friends because I didn’t want them to tell me it was too cute to let go. 😂 Do what’s right for you!
I just went through the same process with my Mini Kelly. I tried to make it work for nearly 2 years as it had been on my wishlist for so long, but I just don‘t use it and prefer my Moynat Gabrielle BB in terms of functionality and look. No regrets so far, so I applaud you for not holding on to it due to its popularity.

I did the same Kate! Dying for a Birkin 35. Finally purchased one preloved and kept it for 3 months before I sold it. I just felt that I wasn't comfortable carrying it. It really wasn't practical for me so....she is gone. I hate to say it but I felt relieved.
I sold my B25 too for the same reasons. 😊 It's a beautiful bag but not practical...I had mine for over a year and never wore it. ☹️
I feel the same way, I purchased a pink Chanel medium flap with 24k hardware and thought I would love it, but it wasn't making my heart sing so I had to let it go, it was bittersweet. 🥀
I completely agree! I sold a Maxi Chanel bc it was no longer suited to my lifestyle and it was rather heavy on it’s own w/o the daily articles of necessity. And I fell out of love with patent leather; despite it’s weather resistant durability. Good for you on your decision. Congrats on your new

I just got a B25 from Fashionpile and I already having regrets! I really want to love it but I think I may be more in love with the idea of it than the actual bag. I'm also having regret as to how expensive it was and how it's just not making me feel over the moon for it. I'm gonna keep it for a few more months but honestly if I don't love it I think I'll let it go. I can't decide if the B30 would be a better choice....or if I should just stop with the B's....
Stop with the B, you clearly don’t know what you want. You are going to keep buying and selling and returning and increasing carbon footprint. Stop polluting the planet.

I agree with you Kate when you begin to worry and not use your most expensive bag is not enjoyable to wear it. I sold my holy grail bag for the exact reasons. I do have others gorgeous and expensive pieces that I am currently wearing.

Good choice! You certainly gave it time and considered it carefully. I get that it’s hard to give up on a HG bag but all bags are not right for all people! Takes most of us a while to figure out that. 😅🤷🏻♀️

I knew you'd get rid of that bag. I just didn't post it, because I didn't want to come across like I was trolling your channel with a negative comment. Many youtubers can't handle criticism. I can name a few you have mentioned in your channel. Oddly enough, after commenting, they did exactly what I predicted in my comments. Nonetheless, you hi-lighted your frustration with those handles. It didn't allow you the comfort to carry it on the crook of your arm. I'm glad you're selling it.

The way I fell 2 weeks ago, broke my ankle and foot and scratched my Birkin. Its definitely scratched up pretty badly but I stopped "coveting" my luxury bags and decided if I would be upset that something happens to it, I probably should get it so thought I was kind of sad I shifted to "well, its well used" lol.
Am also thinking of selling my B35 but it's black Togo with gold hardware so it's a classic. But it's a bit too heavy and I don't dare use it for work or travel when it's suited for both those things so it's just sitting on a shelf. 😅

The balenciaga hourglass wallet on chain is literally the bag that I can wear to anything and anywhere and it always looks good and I feel so carefree and fancy in it! It’s the least expensive one I own!

i think there’s some beautiful birkins, more specifically the vintage one mary kate olsen has. there’s a particular way jane birkin stuffed it where the bag was made of absolute steel despite everything stored in it to where the giant lock functions made more sense. she actually wears it out because it was meant to be supreme quality. the smaller ones aren’t really worth the cost. even the one in satc is a good example.
