This ties up a lot of their cash. Therefore if you are looking to buy a very expensive watch on resale, the inventory may not be there. If you are looking to sell, they may decline or give you a low offer. Wondering if this is happening with bag resellers too. I have only ever bought a pre-loved bag online once. It was a vintage Chanel from FarFetch. It was a great experience. I called customer service to ask why there were no condition reports and the rep said it was because they only sold very good and excellent bags and they got their Chanels from a trusted store in Tokyo. The bag I got was almost perfect and exactly as represented in photos. My only shock was it arrived to my mailbox with Chanel clearly printed on the package. The horror. Clearly, the Japanese are very trusting.
