Kate I am so happy for you! I live in Mission Viejo and my husband and I love it here but we are in our 50's and 60's and love our quiet peaceful life. But you are young and vibrant and Dana Point isn't the place for you. I'm glad you are moving to LA - go have some FUN. But for me - I HATE going to LA and am always so happy as soon as I cross back into the OC - its like I can breathe again once I am out of LA and back into OC. But if I was half my age you can bet your life I would be in LA and having that experience. Can't wait to see where life takes you.
My husband and I bought a house in Orange County when I started law school. Before that we lived in Hollywood. We’re going back as soon as I’m done 😂 Orange County in general is very suburban. Nice if you want to raise a family but not if you’re a twenty-something with a decent income.
I used to live in Newport and loved it so much. Yes there are not a lot to do however it’s all about who you know to be invited to all the fun activities and places. I simply cannot stand LA traffic. You will do well anyway you go. ❤❤❤
Good for you - this was a refreshing video - I enjoyed it! Good luck in your future endeavors and your move to LA. I live in South Florida for 30+ yrs, before that I lived in Jamaica. In my 20’s I really wanted to move from FL to NY. Anyway I stayed in FL, started a family at a young age and now I love it here. I intend however to live in Paris for 6 months - not sure how I will make it happen because I practice law full time in Florida …but you know ….if there is a will, there is a way!
I admire people who can just pick up and move. I've lived in the same state (WA) for most of my life. I'm hesitant to go to California because of the cost of living, and depending on the region and line of work it can be extremely competitive. I've been out of work for almost a year. I appreciate the downtime but the market needs to pick back up. This is ridiculous.
New subbie 🎉 you come off as very genuine and knowledgeable about luxury items. I would love to see you hit on topics such as hotels, your go to credit cards and etc. PS I work from home as well.
I’m new to your channel so thank you for the life update/details. I didn’t know you were pursuing your MBA. I agree you can always go back. It’s a degree program that carries weight and I think it’s terrible the school didn’t make you feel like you were learning anything. Having a finance background it’s indeed intriguing. It’s great fast money but a succubus of an industry. But you have to try it to know if it’s best for you. It wasn’t for me. I’m transitioning to Tech Administration.
