Since i got my car i've wanted gold wheels and today i finally did it!.... kind of haha. I pretty much got a taste of what gold wheels are like. They turned out great with the plasti dip and it looks so sick!

Dude Chewy here with the ST Fiesta, the wheels look Tits, you did a good job, you should have Armor all those tires, I put on my window deflectors and they came out perfect, keep us up to date on how that stuff stays looking good and the maintenance, be safe and keep the Hammer down.

I just did this to my stock winter rims and they feel kinda sticky so I did some research and aerospace plactic protectant worked great and nice and slick and my summer rims are enki rpf1 gold baby like your vids

thanks for the vid! I've been thinking of powdercoating my premium wheels on my red ST, and gold may have just trumped gunmetal after seeing how it looks on yours. Have you thought of powdercoating instead of forking over cash for new rims? I really like the look of the premium wheels painted.
I plastic dip my wheels black and it looks great. It cost me less than $70.👍
looks good man... now go get em powdered. wouldn't waste money on aftermarket wheels when you already have ST premium wheels. just have them power coated gold!

Nicholas Baldwin Don't do it, just get gold wheels and keep the stock ones. They're nice enough to keep. IMO
sorry if we don't agree but just my thought.
$300 for powder coating for wheels he technically already paid for. ST premium wheels don't "come" with the ST factory, they are a $500 add on.
Or you can pay $800+ depending on the wheels for a set of gold wheels and then sell the factory wheels for maybe $200? I have seen them for less even. you still are out more money in the end to get them mounted.
Again just my thought and if you like the current look then power coating is the cheaper option.

I would change your brake pads asap after this, you may have not realized it with your black wheels but the factory pads put out sooooo much brake dust it's insane so it'll probably be a lot more noticeable now that they are gold

Koriginal ST I haven't done them yet I'm still just dealing with them and cleaning my wheels constantly, but from what I've heard any ceramic pad should eliminate a lot of that. I think stoptech is pretty good
Koriginal ST get some new Powerstop Rotors as well & your best bet for brake pads are the EBC Yellow Stuff. I had them on my SRT8 & I had little to no brakes dust. you can also imagine how much those pads went through considering the weight of the challenger, but I think you'd love them👌

How long does this stuff usually last for?
depends greatly on environment of course but it can last months if you don't put lots of miles on and don't drive in harsh weather conditions. the edges of the wheels peel if you take curvy roads because the sidewall will roll over the rim and rub it off.
a dry warm climate and you could make people believe they were powder coated month after month

+Jacob Cosgrove sick! This wheel color would look absolutely dope on your car. But I got it from amazon. It was an "m3 41in lip spoiler" not meant for our cars but looks mean! There are more expensive options but for 30 bucks you can't beat it! Look on forums for more details

+Thomas Whitmore it's treating me so good! The smell still socks but the enjoyment is definitely there! Love the sound and yes stage 3 is a nice increase in power, cannot wait for a custom tune to dial this thing in!

Koriginal ST yes nothing wrong with Stratified I just liked how Brian at JST responds and walks you through everything any questions I just Facebook msg him and get a response back. I've asked him so many questions I'm suprised he hasn't charged me forem lol. he's also got the quickest stock turbo car 12.1 1/4 mile and he's building it to be a time attack car.

Koriginal ST I would recommend asking him for a lifetime tune so if you do add more parts later you don't have to pay for a retune. just messege him let him know I sent you and I am sure he'll help you out. are you running an Ots tune or custom tune?
