I enjoy the inspirational post from videos by people that have been in the business for decades but I also enjoy these learning the nuts and bolts of the car dealership videos. The CARS rule is 400 pages which is unreal. To little regulation is bad to much regulation is also bad. It shouldn't take 400 pages to say, "Don't be a schmuck to your customer". I haven't been on a car lot since July 15th 2003 because of how badly I was taken advantage of. If I know there is some sort of regulation giving me piece of mind that I will not be taken advantage of and I will not have buyers remorse 24 hours after buying it like 60 percent of people currently do I might start thinking about maybe going back to a car lot. The people that are going to win in the end isn't the dealer isn't the customer it is the lawyers looking for an excuse to take dealers to court which will only increase cost on the customer every cost gets past down to the customer.
I've consulted with franchise stores and handed them a post it after a lot walk with a number in excess of $2m on it. Low hanging fruit.. vehicles without Buyers Guides!!!
