In this video I want to talk about how to use pen and ink with watercolor.
I recently took a trip to the iconic Sennelier art store in Paris.
The watercolor and pen sketch you see here is a result of me playing with the art supplies I picked up ! The video includes a whole load of tips on using watercolor with ink pens for creating line and wash artwork.

Hello! I'm Anthony. An independent artist and illustrator based near Paris in France. Watercolor painting was my first passion. So a few years ago I took out my old paints, and rekindled my love for watercolors. I decided to start charting some of my watercolor experiences in the form of my blog, “WatercolorAffair.com” (and now through my CZcams channel). My objective was to start sharing some of my hard won knowledge in the hope that it will help and inspire others to paint with watercolors!
    Thank you for following !

Thanks Anthony! This is great, it’s always nice to learn about a new technique and tool. I love the ‘kid in a candy store’ analogy...exactly how I feel in art stores 😄 Thanks for the link on your website to the virtual tour of the Sennilier store, it looks amazing 😍 🎨

Woo-hoo you are back! I was just wondering when your next offering was going to pop up. This looks very intriguing as usual. What a great way to learn to draw.
Can you give a more comprehensive list of colors you used as well as the recommended sketchbooks you mentioned? I have been looking for a spiral bound as my homemade ones are cold press and the pages do seem to have a mind of their own.

Hey Cathie ! Nice to hear from you... I've added a list of the colors I used in the description above. I really do like the spiral bound option for sketchbooks :-)

This is lovely! Thank you for posting it. What sketchbook are you using please?
I really like the spiral binding but every sketchbook I've looked at has lightweight paper. This looks like it can manage a few washes. thanks again!

Hi Lily ! I just added the references for the sketchbooks i recommend above. If you're going to be doing a lot of line & wash sketches these are a very good option...
