When I was a young boy my brother and I devised a trap to catch a squirrel and we were eventually successful. Within a few minutes he/she died. Kinda took the joy out of the moment.

I've squirrel proofed many attics, I worked as a wildlife extractor. We would make a hardware mesh tunnel with a oneway flap door. A lot cheaper and just as effective.
