  • If Squirrels have made themselves unwelcome, non-rent-paying guests inside your attic or walls, evict them before they can do damage. In this video I'll show you a quick, easy and cheap way to get them out without harming them.

Great idea and tutorial on making and setting this up. I've used the trap method before and probably got lucky to get both and only had 2 in the attic. Now years later the problem is back from a corner board that fell off and this method I believe will work better than the trap and not knowing how many are actually in there. Thanks for the great tip on this!!!

Good idea! But you need to clean out your gutters to prevent water from overflowing out and rotting the wood.

You need a video of them coming out and trying to get back in, to see if it works.

    I trust it worked?

It's important to note that if this is done during early spring or late summer, you need to be very careful with this method because you just might exclude a mother squirrel, which means that her babies will die. Plus, the mother will become extremely distressed (and rightly so), and she will likely do other kinds of damage to try to get back to her babies. Excluding their mother and then removing them yourself will likely end up in their dying because they don't do well without their mother, even if rehabbed by wildlife organizations. If there's a mother with babies already in your attic, the advice I see most often is to let them stay there until they're ready to leave on their own.

I found the very best way to keep squirrels out of my attic. I keep a radio on in my kitchen all the time. It doesn't have to be loud, just conversation level. I've used this for several weeks and I haven't heard critters in my attic all that time. There are enough doors between it and my bedroom so it doesn't keep me awake at night. I keep the door shut between the kitchen and my computer/sewing room and whatever I'm listening to in the computer room drowns out the sound of the radio in the kitchen. I promise you, it works for me. Squirrels hate sounds they're not use to.

You have the radio on.the squirrels won't be doing the hustle

I like this idea. I’ll give it a try but I still have a hole access in the roof or somewhere

I'm glad it doesn't have to be loud because I've been trying the loud radio talk show playing 24/7, and I'm the one that's about to leave the house, while the squirrels are still banging around in my attic. It's driving me insane because the closest room to the attic is an open loft, so the noise carries downstairs easily. I also have strobe lights (with red lights, which they hate), and fox urine that I'm going to add to my arsenal today. We'll see if it works!

    So did you catch him

It doesn't catch them, it just makes it so once they exit the attic, they can't get back in and have to look elsewhere for a home. It did get them out of the attic.

Dude, you need to keep those gutters clean and you might not have all those problems.

I don't know ... life has a way of keeping people busy with more pressing issues ... unless, in a case like this, you noticed a small hole like that one and knew that a squirrel could get through it. Prior to this video, I didn't. I thought their heads were bigger than that (adult squirrels, that is).
