I remember when Akane ran up to me in the Tokyo fruit market & Shouted "Gary-san we've just uploaded Choose Me". The fruit got so excited i got buried under a bananalanche. Happy times.🙂🍌
Band Maid's soft songs include "Daydreaming", "About Us", "Smile" and of course "Memorable". Some of their hard rock instrumentals include "Onset", "From Now On", and "Don't Be Long". One of my favorite songs, of which they recently released as an official live video, is " Puzzle". You really want to check that video out and react to it. It is a proper hard rock head banger.

From Saiki's old-school phrasing, cadence and a super soulful vocal at the end; MISA's driving bass, her special riff after Kanami's brilliant, rocking main solo (complete with harmonic pinch), and her pulls at the end of the song that really funks it up with Akane's drumming; to Kanami's original composition, off-beat octave stretches during the verses, and her addition of a second uncomplicated yet super tasty solo; to Akane's unique snare & tom flurry that launches the choruses; and to Miku's octave-down, in & out vocal backup and lyrics... all makes "Choose Me" a throwback rocker that surprised me when I first heard it - and I'll bet most anyone - that they would come up with this western-style, rock 'n roll classic. Of course, after years later, it's not surprising at all coming from this important band of geniuses who are, along with The Warning band, almost single-handedly bringing back the joys and soulfulness of rock for people from all places and ages to hear. Akane(Drums), MISA(Bass) and Miku(Rhythm Guitarist, 2nd Vocals, Lyricist, band founder) watch B-M reaction video's in their spare time. It builds up their confidence and gives them idea's for future projects. Look at Mr Rock and Roll's concert Vlog from their last US tour. They literally called him out. The possibility of it happening isn't as wild as you think. Band-Maid are not the worlds biggest band, but they are growing. As I write they have been together for 10 years. Recommendations...... DAD - Blooming, Rinne, Black Hole - it comes with Manners, Warning and a bucket load more..... Daughter - Daydreaming, Start Over, Anemone, Awkward, About Us. Memorable, and anything from "Maid In Japan."
I wouldn't be 100% sure Saiki doesn't know your dad exists. The band has a long reputation for being very aware who the most popular reaction and cover channels to their videos are and been known to point them out in the audience at their concerts. :)
