- Welcome Traveler. In todays video I'll go through every aspect which I wished someone would've told me a bit more clear at the start of my journey through Orsterra! This video is especially targeted at players from the new SEA server - since I mention one banner in particular they have at the moment I created that guide but this guide is surely of great help for everyone who starts their travel in the Mobile Octopath Traveler Single Player Gacha entry of the series!

Yes! Yes! Getting a team composition with one of each weapon and all 6 elements is definitely the way to go! At least in the very beginning of thee game. Bravo, Free2Player!

@@free2PlayerCotC I assure you my complement was genuine. Most people are encouraging the Sea Players to save up on their rubies and wait for memory travelers to come out. In other words, not to pull unless it's for the strongest person.
I see. and what is your strategy investing rubies in this game?
@@free2PlayerCotC I'll be fairly honest and admit that my particular strategy is not very free-to-play friendly. But the major mindset would be setting up a team of 5-Stars which covers all elements. My initial strategy was to pull on any banners that popped up (Especially Free Step-Ups) from the start of the game until you reach the end of Master of All, since you get so many rubies and travelers right from the get-go. Any 5-Stars I couldn't get I would substitute for 4-Stars.
Once slots get filled, I would then look for more specific team-members. For instance, for the longest time, I had Meena, Rodion and Madelaine, because I was stuck without a 5-Star Dancer, Apothecary and Cleric respectively. Later I would get Hasumi, Theo and Stead to replace them and my team would be complete.
The next goal would be to set up another balanced team. and eventually get 8 of everyone to use for Job Towers. A lot of what I do is based off of A) Who I want on my team and B) Who provides the right elemental coverage.
Right now I have 7 Balanced Teams, 5 of them are all at level 100. And if I truly need to fight a difficult battle, such as an Arena Fight or a powerful boss, I would have enough travelers to mix and match into a Specialized Team.

Great vid! I have a beginner question. Does BP boost does anything to buff/debuff/healing spells?
thx! yes, just look at the numbers when boosting. either the duration of a skill, or the power is boosted. so some healing skills get immensely powerful! the term for that is called "potency"

Thanks for the info, my starter is Sophia and after play for 7 day. Happy what i get only have 5* Sophia and Lynette with lot of awakening 4*. Almost finish the main story.
I got lynette, scarecrow, theo and Fiore as my starters. I think I'm gonna stick with this

if you have enough rubies left :3 dark exploiting is not the thing now - so with Lynette you should be fine for now. Eliza the other way is very very good ;)

Thanks! Learned most of these as I'm playing the game. I so far have pulled 4x on Cyrus's banner and haven't gotten any luck. Rubies seem to come in slowly even early game. Worried I won't have enough to pity him when his banner leaves. I did start with Theo and got lucky getting Lynette and later on Scarecrow 4 stars. Since I already started on the Cyrus banner, I really wanna keep pulling but I don't know if as F2P I'll be able to get him or if I'll regret it later when other banners like collab ones come along or if Ophelia comes early.... Your advice?
if you feel regret right from the start just because one unit is gone - then maybe you shouldn't play further I must admit. FOMO can lead to difficult health problems someday. Cyrus is going into the general pool of units after a few weeks on sea - and your general pool is very small. so getting him is way easier than we did. and I still have him A1. once from the banner, once from GP. So don't worry. someday you'll get the units you like and the game is not that difficult to really rely on one unit.
@@free2PlayerCotC Nah, I'm a Veteran of saving premium currency on gachas. I did it on DFFOO, SDSGC, FFRK, even Ever Crisis now. I just want to get an idea how much Rubies we're getting as F2P and can you save up enough realistically to pity the current Cyrus banner before it goes away.
I see than I apologize for assuming stuff. well you have to have 6000 rubied for 200 Cyrus fragments, right? that won't be possible :/ you'll have more chances of getting rubies in-game or maybe with community rewards - then it will be a bit faster / but you won't be able to spark him as the very first unit in the game.
@@free2PlayerCotC The launch banner exchange says 150 needed so I need to do 11 more pulls to exchange for a Sacred Guidance. I'm assuming that's the pity right? The banner I think is only until Dec 21 though. I dunno if I can scrape up enough rubies for 11 pulls before then. Or I could just keep pulling until the banner goes away and accept my losses if I don't get Cyrus and hope to get him on the general pool. Lynette, Theo and Scarecrow are doing good on my account anyway for now.

im at master off all chapter 8 on castle edoras. I've seen people talking about the 18/18 missable chest but why my world map only showing 0/10 treasure chest?

After trying the game for a week, I'm glad to get Lynette 5*, Viola 5* (2x), Scarecrow 4.5* (2x), Theo 5*, Primrose 5* and Eliza 5*. What a solid start for me. 🎉

I can't tell..they could release it way earlier then expected at sea. so having a few rubies ready exactly for that to occur is a good idea. especially after a very promising unit has been released. they might go for the Collab right after it. but what I'm sure of is that they will release it after the Bravely Default collab.

I quit from the game for a long time but a really enjoyed the game and I want to come back but there is just big issue for me. The slow going of the game and mainly the loading of the game. Just do the towers or exchange and wait the loadings every time is so annoying and setup the equipment evry time… no…I,we need a better life quality
Ive heard of JP having enormous load time every time your doing one dice roll at the fortunes board. so the global version has already way better load time. I'm afraid I can't help you out with that - it's still enjoyable if you have once customized everything from the start and you just have to tweak a little over the time. let's see when we'll get even better fluent gameplay.
Sir do u know rotation banner in this SEA? Like what come after cyrus banner?
I can't tell. the rotation has been changed a lot from JP to global so it's hard to say if they follow the same structure on global for sea. I think they don't want people to know so you invest your rubies on a good banner and wonder how to get more rubies to invest for the next banner which is also good :D

it's not about fairness. it's about money :/ that game is still enjoyable if you get that past your head and just spend where you want and not where the majority of people are telling you to.

Is this game has daily activities to do?
yes it has. and if you come until one point of the game where you have unlocked a special NPC to your game - you just need to click "collect" and it does everything for you. So you can farm your in-game currency very frequently without investing too much time.

141 pull for my freaking favourite char cyrus end up with 4 random 5 star 1 thoe,1 fiore, 1 scraecrow, 1 glideroy i mean its amazing u can get 1 5star 40 pull but bruh atleast gurantee me.. i know the gurantee is 150

which one better, i guide 1 only or 10 at once for cyrus?
it doesn't matter. the rates are the same. but if you pull one by one, you get Cyrus maybe at the 7th pull for example and don't have to do the other 3. so you saved 90 rubies!

14h game time and i managed to collect all the 5stars heroes except Sofia.. am i lucky or its happen to everyone?
well the pool of units to randomly get units from is not that big atm for sea server - so getting "everyone" at least once is not thaaat extremely lucky. it's still luck I'd say :3 lottery today what ya say? ;D

low level doesnt really mater as long as you understood the buff/debuff system of this game :) having increased levels is only good for aquiring new skills and certain SP savining for longer fights later on. :)

yeah! there are very good travelers you get deeper in the game by defeating them in battle.

@@oklol8077 I wouldn’t suggest relying on it though. They’re quite difficult to acquire (coming from a person who sparked a game changing unit and still struggled against them for quiet some time)

Should i maxed out the unit before awakening?
depends on the unit and the fight youre taking that unit to. if it's a 5 star, you can't awaken anyway because you need to pull those units again first, but having an awakened 4 star is giving more power, more skill variety and more hp which caaan matter. when a4 Accessoires on 4 stars are a thing later, awakening them should be the priority. because those are enormously powerful!

If i awaken them in lvl 1 with 1000 HP isn't that mean i only got 500 HP for awakening the unit? Or i still got that max bonus regardless??

it's vice versa. you get +50%, but it's caped at 1000. so you get 500 hp in that example reaching 1000 at maximum.
you'll see it, when u gain access to the ultimate tower training tower.

cant complain :D very solid! but I would switch wingte with another unit instead of pairing him with sofia. As soon as he gives "Damage Up" with his passive in the back, she does not profit from that skill because she already has "ice DAMAGE UP" 30% which is the limit of damage up increase.

that's just a general advice. Wingate is very very useful. just so you know behind which character to put him is key :3

It's not worth rerolling for the 5% cait, maybe for the better cait. You will get plenty of exp as you will play so don't burn yourself out on something like exp farming :)
