- Welcome Traveler. In todays video I'll go through all of my 5 Stars in detail and why I decided to place them in that order! That is totally my opinion so if you have something against it- please write it in the comments or in my discord group ;) Apart from that feel inspired by which units I use the most and maybe that will help you decide which banner to go for, which starter to reroll for or even which tournament champion to beat first to have a better gaming experience. Molrusso idgaf if she’s bad but she’s very adorable
I spooked her today and I must say, her triple wind attack is not that bad at all! can be useful in a wind team especially if you need a strong healer and deal some damage if there is no need to heal!
Great list! My only quibble would be the powercrept category. I was lucky enough to get a fully powered Odette when she was released, and she was definitely a gamechanger for me. I was able to clear content that there's no way I could have finished before. Yes, at this point there are other units, but I think putting her close to the bottom might discourage people from pulling for her, and thus diminish a wonderful unit. Your methodology is sound, but I'd add the caveat that there are certain units who are more useful in certain phases of the game. At the game's beginning, having Theo is a game changer (at least he was to me), but by the end-game he's an afterthought.
you are soooo right about it!! Theo and Odette were my absolute favourites :D ... but that decision I made was because I don't play both of them anymore AT THIS MOMENT. that is why. I know it would discourage people to pull for them, but I also said I liked them a lot first :) so in the end everyone still makes their own decisions :3
Nice list! Some thoughts on the first half of the video:
Theo kept a niche with Dual Harvest being a solid Axe AoE. Of course, if you get Cecily, that niche is gone.
I feel like "Powercrept" is a weird label for Kouren, because his damage is still exceptional, even now. Peacock Slash's potency is equal to Rippling Slice. But you're right that he runs into SP issues.
Gilderoy is a unit that gets better as content gets harder. He's great in fights like I'cirlo and the Hell Cragspear duo-94% damage reduction is ridiculous-and he's relevant in the Elite Tower or any content where survivability is an issue... but that type of content came very late. So most people weren't even aware of how his defenses worked until recently.
Tressa is sadly one I disagree with. She has to spend two turns tanking and setting up sidesteps separately. It's inconvenient to distribute BP to keep both her sidestep stacks and provoke up in a lot of fights. She kind of falls into the same issues as Eltrix in that regard.
But she does become good la-well, I won't spoil anything unless you ask me of course.
I loooved using Theo too for exactly that purpose! but with all the overpowered apothecaries joined the roster he just seems useless lately :/

if you play kouren in front of an SP backpack he will be a lot bette then many other sword users. but kouren being the only sworduser not having any special ability like decreasing physical Def or at least another weakness exploit - I better use other warriors, especially one coming in the next part of the video.
I think a few placements I've done do really make sense first when people know where my other units are and why haha :3 so let's wait for the second part here ❤
I always used Cardona together with Tessa, never alone. (except for GP100) so that problem you mentioned doesn't occur this way :D

Yea I'd say Kouren is my best DPS for sword and I couldn't win battles that had enemies weak to sword without him. There are backpack accessories and other ways to work around his SP issue(or even switch him out sometimes) so without a Richard I learn to make him work. Even if I had Richard, I would use Kouren to supplement him because he hits so damn hard.
Kouren is goated. Wish I had him a1, he completely avoids damage cap issues.

Love your content, may I ask if you could do a review on the tier ranking for A4 accessories? I know some A4 are meh but some over time as you pull many dupes, some A4 becomes more “reachable” and what are some of the good one we should keep an eye out. Just a suggestion

apart from that, I already have a few a4s - and if I used them I have also showed them in the lower part of the thumbnail so you know which units A4 I am using and I will also explain why I needed those in that battle.

when your coming from SEA, those units I covered will be enough for a long period of time :D otherwise my list does only contain 5* I have in my possession, not some I want to have someday or something because I try not get spoiled at content :D

En version player since launch and can confirm even with all units now, Therion is still a regular in my teams. He is simply gamechanging
The 4xAoE Shieldcrack is very hard to beat. Doublecast is stupid.
MILLARD will always be Iconic
he is the true ring bearer and he always will be :D and as global buffed Millard ex, he earns that spot even more ❤️
i love haanit though.she is so good,i still using her.sure she is random but she still have multiple aoe,multiple random,and strong sniper skill.i love using her.
i do feel like scarecrow is a bit too old.no noticeable skills,just usable archer with some wind skills.no nukes,no single multiple targets.
Hell Cragspear on release was only possible for me because of Gilderoy tanking, I'd put him in Outstanding solely because of that one fight 😁 Personally, for me he was a game changer, Tressa never worked as a tank for me for some reason.
Amazing List though
gilderoy was Perfect for that battle. and that was the only one I used him- ever. and worked soooo well. but if you have Serenoa by now .. he is so much better especially for that fight as he can get rid of the defense down with only on skill.. he can cast by himself. he's just too awesome
@@free2PlayerCotC Gilderoy fits better on spear teams and he can reach higher levels of damage reduction with his passive + very good ultimate. Serenoa's amazing, but there are cases where Gilderoy is still useful.
Gilderoy also completely trivialized Tikilen, Ri'tu, Grandport, I'cirlo, etc.,
i personally had lots of trouble with i'cirlo and gilderoy didn't help me out there. as soon as you have units who can cure her enfeeblings, it's no big deal but at that time I didnt. so tressa cardona evade was my way to go :3 same for greybeard. his attack were to powerful and having only elemental attacks coming for tressa was alright because his physical ones were very powerful. I like thinking back 😍

but here’s one thing though , will the release sequence of these characters on the global server actually be the same in SEA server? cause tbh i can’t wait for Lars to be in my team😂
that's the question;) maybe they will use a mixture of JP and global release or maybe they follow more the releasing of one or the other... maybe they'll just go crazy I can't tell :D let's see what the future brings

Thanks for doing this . My main team (I’ve only returned recently and just managed to blitz thru master of all and am onto the bestower of chapters) are Eliza, Viola, Agnes, Cyrus, Ha”anit , Primrose, Cardona and Lumis. This team has been helpful for me as between them I have all weaknesses covered (viola is godsend with her fire and dagger shield breaker skills. Was super helpful against final master of all form when it switched between physical and magic counters). Question - if I was to swap characters out who should I aim for?
i have Theo only as my Apothecary 😞 just started the game 2 days ago.
do you have any recommendation for 4* Apothecary that still viable to use?
i dont want to waste time more if Theo is just that bad...
you misunderstood. he is very very good especially for the beginning of the game and for one very hard fight later on I find him viable for the fight! he was s my starter and he was the best choice I had :D

haha so true :3 but I haanits thunder doesn't have the chance to inflict A status ailment as well as none of her Linde skills Hits two times. Fan and Dagger and light I found way more important to exploit than sword, polearm and thunder because I have at least one of them in the team who can do exactly that. it's just a personal opinion but that is needless to say :D you right anyway sorry if that offended you :3
If therion is game changing does sonya does too? She can double skill when switching to front and shave shield 4 (solo), 4 aoe (or 6 max bp), or 4 knive/wind (or 8 max bp)

I didn't play therion at all in the main game and now he's like god. that's so extreme :D
As it turns out, doublecast is a stupidly broken mechanic
I hate him because he actually introduced a lot of powercreep by being the first unit to doublecast properly without RnG.
ramona is way more useful than Miliard , just switch her in and out with Linette and both row will feel like automatic healing.
Ramona(?) passive was a Healing buff when she on the backline

Its my 3rd day of this game and do i need to pull nicola and Primrose ? Since my 5s are Cyrus , gilderoy, Viola millard and Lynette with a small amount of rubies(because of Cyrus) or ill keep my rubies to get the other units?
if you don't have enough rubies then you should save many before going into another banner. the chance you have to spark them is always there. you may spook Nicola and primrose by chance someday as I did and still enjoy the game. your units are amazing as they are now.

no endgame right now but very difficult content gets updated very frequently if the normal adventure doesn't take you much effort:3 and yes, dailies, weeklies and community events.
Any idea for Zenia? Is she any good?

I didn't know what happen with sea rng, but i do re roll 23 times, but doesnt get therion, is he available in sea server now? I just get either sofia, the healer, linette, the warrior girl or either the man with bow
look at the rates of the specific banner you invest your Rubies on. sea does not have most of the units I have listed. these are all future characters coming for you so you may or may not know where to invest your rubies on :3

Nice video! I like the list, but I'd make some adjustments based on my own use cases:
- Therese belongs in Powercrept. She isn't incredibly useful, but she's one of the best general pool farmers in the game due to the fantastic synergy with 4* supports and a strong, very cheap AoE nuke
- Haanit should also be in Powercrept. She's inconsistent and her P.Atk is lacking, but her ability to break and her access to a strong AoE bow nuke make her usable when you don't have better Hunters
- Adelle should also also be in Powercrept. She's basically the Kouren of Thieves, except instead of problems with SP, she has problems with access to Poison procs
- RIP Edea. She's a Solid unit whose BP passive and access to both Sword and Lights skills make her useful in niche content (BC100 and Board Dragon come to my mind)
- Nicola should go down to Outstanding. She's a fantastic unit with a useful backpacking passive, access to AoE debuffs, and access to shield bursts, but I feel that she doesn't do enough at once or hit hard enough in order to be a Game Changer (for example, Therion's AoE fire can shield crack and trigger paralysis, Cyrus hits very hard with his coverage, etc)
- Harley goes into the Powercrept category in my opinion. He's a strong Wind breaker from what I've seen, but again, other units either have better breaking or better defensive skills
yes I'm am agreeing here. the "Tier" never used - is just there for the reason I cannot really say anything about the unit as I have them, but could not use them cause I have way better units to cover certain weaknesses and already have very good experience with them and know how to use them :3

is nicola really that good, just got her in sea, should I use her instead of viola for main team?
she's very good for shield shaving, reducing the whole enemies pdef and eDef and can regenerate sp on your units. especially with her ultimate later on she's very valuable. but I would not say that she's better than viola. viola is still better and at debuffing and is sturdier. but Nicola is MY MUST HAVE for farming right now. without her, my farming experience would not be as it is right now :3

GOATenoa has to be a Game Changer. He beats my Lars and Richard in sword damage (first turn hits 200Kx2) refills BP, and is an unkillable tank.
yep. my personal favourite :D you forgot to mention he has a very decent A4 and he's free for everyone and super easy to level up. just insane.

I feel like Ri'tu should absolutely be in Powercrept. Unparalleled having 3 turns of BP Block on top of having a damage cap problem sucks. If you have A2, Therion, Falco, Auguste, or even Adelle, you're probably not bringing Ri'tu.
if you have all of those :D I don't have Auguste and have never played Adelle because of her passive not going to trigger that easily. speed clears only need lot of damage and Ritu can do exactly that. unparalleled once, ulti next turn. just amazingly damage ❤️😍
@@free2PlayerCotC Adelle's guaranteed crit skill is 563 potency and she gets 30% damage while using it. Even without poison, Adelle does no less damage, without the BP block. With poison it's no contest.
(I don't have Auguste or A2, I only have Therion and Falco as my other dagger damage dealers besides Adelle and Ri'tu)
my Adelle is at a low level right now and I'm waiting to unleash her full potential with zenia. that's why I have put her in the never used roster right now. that doesn't mean I'm not going to use her or don't want to put her somewhere else :D she is amazing - but Ritu being free and A3 is is way more accessible for people as Adelle is. unleashing the full potential of units is also one of my main tasks in the game. I can't just play units knowing that's not the best they can do. but that's just personal :)
@@free2PlayerCotC Wasn't talking about the poison, her first passive gives her 30% damage when critting. And her nuke has guaranteed crit. If there's poison she gets both 30% damage AND 30% physical attack on her nuke.
ha had to edit my post because that was not what I wanted to say In the end :3 if using falco Ritu also gets 30% even without any accessories and with every single attack. so I like her passive a little more. but that's just how I build my own team- and I also had the right weapons crafted for Ritu already .. but we can talk that out until tomorrow morning :3 I get your point and I'm so looking forward using her in a future battle :D
Guess I have only Cyrus in the game-changing tier so far. The rest is in various tier hahaha. Here are my *4.5/5 stars for both accounts
- Scarecrow (A3 and the only one so far)
- Sofia (A1 and only using her to help my *4 heroes level up)
- Theo (A1, even though I still got him as a *4.5 hero here)
- Cyrus (he is the best scholar character so far and enjoy exploiting enemies weaknesses using him)
- Lynette (I love her elemental damage, tbh)
- Viola (I enjoy her debuffing skills)
- Fiore (my main dark damage hero in the 1st acc and a strong warrior-tank hybrid, imho)
- Millard (so far I enjoy using him even tho I know there are lot better healers coming and now still as a *4.5 hero)
- Gilderoy (a strong tank indeed. Although I got him on my 2nd account)
- Primrose (definitely choose her instead of Nicola when they're coming to SEA server and much better dark elemental dps compared to Fiore, but I got her on my 2nd account same as Gilderoy)
It hurts me a lot seeing Lumis so low, she was my first lvl100/A4/U10 and she carried me through a lot of battles healing, shield shaving and sometimes dealing damage
im sorry I didn't want to hurt you that way :/ I think that totally depends on when you pull him, or how much dupes you get from that unit. I got lumis way later in the game and only once and at that time, I couldn't really profit from her kit as you did. that is regarding a lot of units sadly :/
There havent been a ton of units that I have thought were above and beyond "Flat out better" than everything else available except for a few units that have come put recently. One is Roland, his damage output is higher than many units dealing damage to a weak point when they dont even have a spear weakness. He is pretty crazy. And then Richard just flat out changes any sword team from okay to amazing.
I will cover both of them in the next part of the video. but you are right about them. cotc is so much easier with those units in your possession
I'm also excited for when they bring the OT2 characters into CotC. Not only was it an amazing game that I loved, from what I have seen they are completely broken! I'm excited for Part 2 of your tier list, Great video!

Wait, millard the cleric is a good char. You can buff defense for your party, heal them all and he get a powerfull light magic.. For now he is my only 5*
it's a comparisons sheet. so if you only have millard, then he is very powerful indeed :3

step up costs less free rubies for the first steps. so that would be the way to go. of you only have paid step ups, then it's a different story.

I personally don't think Nicola should be that high in the tier list, and I would rather have Viola, but Nicola can help debuff defense AoE though
viola is very OP but u got cyrus and lynette alrdy id stick with it

both have their usage, but if you don't have an sp problem or dagger weakness to exploit I wouldn't run Nicola while using viola.

Its meta really matters on this game? i just want to enjoy the story but i wont stuck cuz i dont have "meta" char
it does not. you can also wait until you're strong enough to tackle the harder story chapters. (at least for now)
@free2PlayerCotC even I dont have lynette? My char are Millard b5,gilderoy b5, Fiore b5, haanith b5 and cyrus 4.5 and since I just finish the early final chapter, im lazy to reroll just to get lynette then playing from star again (sorry for bad english)
Lynette is good. but you eventually spook her in some banner. don't worry :3 just have a great time - there are a lot of different units which can buff your units, too.
Why put Varkyn at Outstanding while Odette at Powercrept...Varkyn cannot beat Odette in light damage, not to mention that Odette also uses wind skills...
Varkyn absolutely beats Odette in light damage in global. Better stats, better skills, and a 20% elem. buff when below 50% SP. He also caps light res. down and helps debuff elemental stats.
With Varkyn, I can hit almost 70,000-80,000x3 on a single enemy (210-240,000). Odette is hurt by the damage cap and you need a Hell Tome to increase it.
My boi Gilderoy is the best tank at the beginning of the game and even for lv60 bosses. He has 4 great skills and ultimate tech:
1st of which can force aggro on him
2nd can counter physical attack for big damage
3rd his triple lightning strike is solid along with having a chance to paralyse
4th has a strong pole thrust that can heal depending on how much damage you do (which is a lot btw)
and his ultimate grant him huge defence buffs AND a strong counter on top of it.
He isn't the best tank I'll admit, but as a 5 star starter, my opinion deserves OUTSTANDING but sits comfortably at SOLID.
I feel you. he's very powerful. in the end it's a single player game and everyone has their own feelings and opinions about the game. I like yours. :3

for me, yes. but that will change now wth bargello as soon as I have him. I wrote about the odette-dilemma lots of times in the comments, if want to know more - just look it up ;)
She is still considered a strong unit. Don’t get discouraged if you have her because as soon as her JP buff arrives in global/sea, she will become stronger.
My big mistake is waste 3k gem for Cyrus like people say it good for the play lol
you can always be lucky. but can always be unlucky too. that's gacha :/ Hope you do get him by chance anyway because he's just soo great
H'aanit never use? What? I use her everywhere, i beat Largo with H'aanit in party. She cover 3 weaknesses, good shaving arow shower and guarantee crit nuke. Maybe its because she is my favourite hero from original game, but she never leave my party.
that's exactly what I was thinking too. I'm taking a look into kits and see flaws very fast. haanits kit has to much "flaws" for my playing style regarding the preparation for the optimal damage and break with one shield left. that's nearly impossible with haanit. I pulled her very late in the game so I had other bow users I used preferably anyway which are firing my play style very well. so I decided not to play her. she sounds interesting and she was also one of my favourite characters in the first game - but that didn't change my decision. in the end, it's all personal cause that is a single player game after all. :3 I wish your haanit will cover all further battles too and make you win everytime!

Do you see any "Tier"? it's how I feel about particular units and how they fit in rosters or if they only have niche uses. maybe you listen to what I'm saying on these characters to find out why I have decided that way.
@@free2PlayerCotC Sorry I’m just expressing shock at some of these choices, not meant to be an attack. Re tier: Yes. That software you are using is called “tiermaker” and is used to assign things to tiers IE a hierarchy of what is better or worse than each other.
I did listen, for example for Nicola I just don’t agree as there is not really any farming that Therion can’t do better, esp with the advent of fortune weapons (but honestly even without) and he can easily refill his SP too, either from his SP refill attack or especially with the accessory that lets him gain SP from regular attacks. And unlike Nicola he is also one of the best DPS in the game, great shield shaver, a good debuffer etc.
In Eliza’s case, her utility is not that great as magic teams in general are so much weaker than physical teams, as you experienced for example in your attempts to clear Elite tower Floor 1.

I'm using Nicola especially for my farming Soul Crystal L in master training. without her, practically impossible right now to do it in the least turns possible. but I'm working on a more efficient way and when that time has come, that'll make Nicola obsolete. But that's how it is.
Eliza being a strong light attacker and still give 20% eatk up to the front when supporting from behind gives her two roles which not a lot of units have, that's awesome for fight like valore duo or master training f12. in the dragons board game she was also key to winning because she can sword and light. she's just amazing.

Very good list, I only have a few minor disagreements in - but one placement I could not disagree more with is Odette. She belongs heavily in the outstanding tier as currently in EN she is the best light and wind damage dealer we have access too and both of those elements have great support units that you’ve aforementioned
I am sooo agreeing with you and I still want to use her so badly. but right now her capabilities are not matching with varkyns or tikilen I would use preferably. most of the time you need only of those weaknesses to exploit so Odette falls of sadly :/
Love your content. Just sticking up for some characters a bit- adelle passive is 30 % physical attack up when an enemy is poisoned. That happens a lot of my battles if I pair with zenia or rinyu. Also she has 3 hit shield shaver. Very rare. Also her single attack does guaranteed crit at max boost - and her other passive is 30 percent crit bonus! And recall if enemy is poisoned that attack doesn’t even more damage! So she can be a very powerful character.
Harley - he was one of my first 5 star so I have a soft spot for him. He has an Aoe wind that hits twice and lowers enemy attack. It also hits for 100 so it’s hard hitting. He also has a skill which buffs phys and elemental defense of entire front row.
I said exactly the same things about Adelle, so as soon as you use żenią with her in a battle with her where we have dagger/dark weakness to exploit - I would test Adelle out finally to use her over an other dagger user :D - therefore going up a tier or two :3
Harley sounds really promising tho. didn't know he can be that versatile. that's the problem with units you pull very late where the need for that unit is no more :/
@@gj1234567899999 Is 3 hit shield shave rare? Nicola, Sarisa, Falco, and Heathcote have that too and Heathcote is a total joke. The others are considered okay to good for different reasons.
The best light and wind damage dealer? Sounds like cope when Sofia EX exists for wind.

Odette doesn't have ANYTHING to do in Powercrept. She is simply the best Wind and Light DPS on the EN version, and still top 3 Wind DPS on JP. How is she powercrept ??
because I tend to use Eliza in light comps or tikilen in wind comps preferably. that's my own way of playing and she doesn't give me the same value as the other two do in this case. it's all just personal:3 I'm glad you still use Odette and have a good experience with her even now 😍
She isn't close to being the best wind/light DPS in EN, I wouldn't even call her top 3. She's been powercrept since Fortune Weapons.
It's funny how you can tell apart the people who actually play the game versus the people who probably got their information from an Urshiko video instead. Maybe Urshiko didn't tell you that Odette was considered mediocre in JP for a year before she got buffed with a new passive that allows her to doublecast every turn whenever there's a broken enemy.

@@free2PlayerCotC Nah, I was replying to the commenter because just flatly stating that she's the best light or even wind DPS in EN right now is plainly wrong.
I assumed they got that impression from seeing Urshiko rank Odette as #3 for top wind DPS in JP, even though that's only because of TP buffs, which aren't a thing in EN.
every global player can't access jps buffs or whatever happened to odette, so it's just a personal preference here what people think of her how she is right now - and not how she will be later. In my opinion she is definitely very powerful - but I just don't use her anyway. she doesn't give me any advantages then other specific light or wind units do at the moment.
