Great video as always. Somewhere on youtube there is a video of a A-body getting mini tub and a frame narrowing at the same time. The frame changes gained an inch or two of clearance per side. According to him the inside reinforcements also made the frame much stronger. It might be more work than you want to take on. I could try to find it if your interested.
That was tense watching the router cutting into the rim. I think my hands would be shaking waiting for it to F up. 😅 Too bad about the mini tub. I think I would find another way for the E-brake to work on the rear discs instead of butchering the wheel wells. Couldn’t you make a different bracket for it to work or find something in the aftermarket or from the brake manufacturer?
Hey Rich, good question... I knew one day I would mini-tub, for fatter wheels. Hence the shortening of the axle. I didn't know that day is here, lol. Here we go!
Is it possible to flip it left and right and put the parking brake caliper on the lower side. It looks like the actual brake caliper has a symmetrical mount. Don’t flip the hydraulic caliper just the mechanical parking brake part.
I would suggest having a professional install those tubs if you've never taken on such a project. (just sayin) Your car is too nice to take a chance with.

Wow Mike, you can really manage project creep better than anyone. A new rear-end turns into a mini-tub project. Lotsa work, but looking forward to it.

The short answer is yes. I can't remember why I couldn't use the lower mount, but I'm definitely going to review that again. Thanks for the comment!

Ive got 345s under my 69 chevelle. The mini tub wasnt bad but I did have to get custom offset wheels.

Isn’t there an optic to mount the caliper in a lower position?
Ohhh yeah. I can't remember why I had to use the top mount. I'll double check. I kind of talked myself into 335's. So there's that too. Lol. Thanks!
