Jetty SURF FISHING for ANYTHING That Bites! Multiple Species Caught!! (Westport, WA)

- On this week's episode we go jetty fishing in Westport, WA for some unexpected catches!
Sit back and enjoy some jetty surf fishing for anything that bites! We set out after some black rockfish, lingcod, kelp greenling, and end up catching starfish, and some rockfish on light gear! Would have been nice to have some heavier surf gear, but we were just using what we had, and ended up with a whole smorgasbord bite of what ever bites! Whenever multiple species are caught, it's a good day to me :) Hopefully after watching this video, you also end up with a basic understanding of how to catch these fish off the jetty at Westport Washington, or really any jetty in the world!

Yeah me neither! It was super random that we both ended up with starfish on our hooks too! Never happened to either of us before in our combined 30 years of fishing experience haha

Hey Brian, I try to go out to the jetty few times a month for rock fish and sea bass as well. I hate the hike at the jetty too! I would go pass the foghorn just like couple hundred feet more... 😭 I recommend using free float bobber rig set up, because you will hardly lose your rig set up. The weight not being at the very bottom help avoiding all those rocks and see weeds while striking your target zone. You can let your set up ride the current too so it can float down towards the end of jetty where I found bigger rock fishes!! Anyways good video I’m glad I found a video about the jetty on CZcams keep it up 👍
Sung Ham thanks for the advice and the love 😌 I def want to try the bobber trick, I was some poeple doing that but not sure how deep to make it, what depth would you recommend?
@@BrianMonticello Them rock fishes and lingcods are barely off the bottom and I consistently caught them going 6-9 meters(differs depend on tides) deep under the bobbler. Yeah give it a shot next time you are out there, July 4th weekend I got couple rock fishes that 18 and 19 inches =)
