Still a little bit doubtful about the whole crypto-stuff on Odyssey, but I made an account there with your link anyway to be able to see your videos in case anything "weird" happens here on CZcams.
So, the whole virtualization uses one of the Type1-Hyper-thingies (I already forgot the friggin' term, but you know what I mean ;-) ) - I think that's the next thing I'm gonna wanna learn about then, too - thanks to you having really inspired and sparked my curiosity/interest about it all. I really agree that this stuff's kinda the future and I'd love to be able to work with it some time as easily as you do.
How long would you estimate did it take you personally (I know, everyone learns in their own pace, so it might take others longer or even less long depending on how much they already know and understand about the subjects involved) to get there - that you can set up hardware like that in such a short time as you did in this stream?
You know, I have a huge problem with "wanna-be-superiors", who only are that by title - but with someone like you, I would naturally see as a mentor because you're just competent in what you're doing and that naturally lets me respect anyone as an authority in their field.
So, I've also seen in a different video, that you were struggling with health problems and already had double as many brushes with death as me now. * hugs *
Therefore I hope you're doing well since the last videos have been a couple of months ago only and don't allow haters or socio-/psychopaths to get to you emotionally.
I know how hard it was for me to learn to setup an "emotional filter/firewall" for me (at least a couple of decades!) because there's just not many/enough mentors for that part of our human existence these days and learning it by ourselves takes a lot of time, trial and errors in "understanding the human mind" (our own and those of others) and learn to recognize the patterns early enough before they can harm us too much.
Managing a digital Life is fairly easy compared to managing human relationships - including the one with ourselves. I also have the problem of "losing myself in what I do", when I do it with passion and all my heart. And if it doesn't involve much physicality, I tend to stop feeling my body's and mind's needs until I'm totally exhausted and could fall asleep on the spot almost.
So, practicing mindfulness, taking regular breaks from whatever it is I'm doing etc., is kinda the current struggle/challenge I'm on.
And whatever the issues are *you* are dealing with, I wish you with ALL my HEART

@@MorgonautHackintosh i'll definitely contact you after the summer for some help, even paid one. I still run a i7 6700 overclocked with radeon 5700 XT. on an hackintosh with Catalina (clover, from Tonymacos) runs very well and games on Windows are very nice as well. But will need a big upgrade after summer, to increase the CPU power for Flight Simulator. Here from Belgiuml prbably will find some good deal on the 6800 in holland... finger crossed, now i will enjoy the summer dreaming of a better machine in september... :)

Great to see you back in action! I would really like to see multi-GPU aware benchmarks, as that is the reality for many of us. 6800XT vs. 3 Vega generation, or whatever hardware you have.

I already did it on my setup on the day of the 11.4 Big sur release.
My Setup:
CPU: R5 5600x
MB: x570 ASRock Taichi (BIOS 3.91 Beta)
GPU: XFX 6800 xt merc 319
RAM: 4x8GB 3600 cl14
Storage: 1 TB m.2 (Mac), 1 TB m.2 (Win), 4TB hdd
I installed 11.2 three months ago but I kept getting 50 FPS on my monitor 3440x1440 so when I updated to 11.4 and it got recognized (6800xt) I got the full 144fps on my screen and looked very smooth, also performance wise its flawless :)
Monitor is (Xiaomi 34 in widescreen) its pretty good and now I can't use my older 27in 1920x1080 screen because it feels too small.
Hello Teresa, I recently did a private consultation session with you about upgrading my 2019 Mac Pro. You recommended adding the "Sapphire 11304-03-20G Pulse AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT" I just got it but unfortunately it does not fit. This card is much over the 30.5 cms that the 2019 MacPro needs. Can you please recommend an alternate card? Thank you so much!
@rajesh-ru3wb - I recommended the Sapphire 6800 XT SE which I reviewed in my video in 2019 Mac Pro so it's not possible it would not fit when I showed it clearly in my video czcams.com/video/od6uEOuyU00/video.html

no I didn't do any tests in Blender, because to run Blender on macOS is silly idea, when best performance is under Linux

it is very good GPU, but not every operating system is good for everything. Simply if you want maximum performance in Blender then you have to run Linux

ryzen hackintoshes have degraded graphics performance unless you apply the mtu patch from shanee in the kernel patches thats why you see wild geekbench swings

Meaning building a hackintosh is no longer a good deal. With M1 you get more power per dollar than amd or intel
@Franky B - Said who? You. And I strongly can't agree with you. True is only you get more power per $, but you forget to say you get also much lower performance than my 16 and up core systems with multiple powerful GPUs!!! You don't count there are specific workloads where any M1 can't compete.
