Wow, this cpu + gpu duo will remain the most powerfull untill big navi released and drivers come out. I guess the only thing which is left atm is cpu + gpu + ram overclock + watercooling. Very nice video. Thanks.

Just to inform you, on a LG OLED TV the HDR will be recognized but the colors are to oversaturated.

Have you done much hardware testing for ITX motherboards for small “Hack Mini” computers? I have a beautiful ITX case and would love to know if there’s an ITX motherboard that’s proven “safe” for hackintoshes. (I watched beginners tutorial and remember how hard you stressed that the hardware matters!)
Hi Teresa. Are you running this build as native Clover or OC install? Or are you using Proxmox as you have done previously for your 'multi-OS' build? I would be interested in this build but want the benefits of your other build where you used a hypervisor/proxmox with very little performance overhead. So please comment on this as it will help in the direction I - and maybe some others - decide to take. Thanks again for all the work you do in these videos. Waiting to solidify my build strategy and software setup is still mystery.

Hey Theresa, I apologize for the additional question, but I have the ASRock MB TRX40 Creator motherboard, along with all of the other exact items you specified for this build, and I am having trouble finding exactly what I need to do for BIOS settings in order to make this work. Is there anywhere I can go to find the needed BIOS setting changes in order to make this work as I get stopped early on with memory mapping errors? Where can we get Radeon VII at "$500-600?" They appear to have doubled in price, even tripled to $1500 if they are available anywhere. I would prefer to use Mojave, is Catalina too buggy to use? Hi, congrats on the video. Would like to know if there are any compromises on assembling an amd hackintosh vs intel hackintosh. Once you said that imessages and some other features doesnt work. Then the question is if there is anything which doesnt work or all work perfectly. The comes cus I will assembly a new hackintosh to replace my old 6700K running on a single 5700 xt. I was considering intel, either 9900K or 10900K, but since 10900K is hard to find and yet I would like to have a usb 3.2 and pcie gen 4 and most amd mb has at least 8 sata and 3 nvme plus thunderbolt 3 is a new reality, I might consider AMD instead if there are no compromises... Hello, great video. but if I get a gt 710 and a radeon rx 580, could the entire rx 580 be transferred to a vm from Parallels Desktop for windows games?
yes it is possible and I use it daily, but not using stupid Parallels emulation but using regular bare metal virtualization

Radeon VII is faster and little newer. But still Vegs FE is great card and I use it still in my build

Mac Pro is pricey, but I would not say overpriced. The Vega II cards are insanely overpriced as well as Apple memory upgrades

How did you set a RAID 0 Array and booted macOS on it? I 've read everywhere macOS cannot be booted from RAIDs. Thanks for your precious work Teresa!
I personally used an old version of macos and did the raid0 with 2 ssd on a pcie double ssd card and installed the macos I was planing to use normally. I didn’t knew you couldn’t I just did it. The downside is you dont have the recovery partition, you have to reinstall at every major problem. I enjoy the speed though.
Phi yes the hassle is with Catalina, older version works fine, but I’m interested doing RAID 0 on Catalina.

Hey would the RTX Titan work with the 3970X for hackingtosh build? And if it's not touch trouble. What CPU connected cables do you have? I'm trying to create a cablemod custom cable kit for a build I'm working towards. TRX40 board and 3970x cpu. I'm not sure which cables are necessary so I don't have weird cable just sitting around.

crossfire is old technology, now on Macs there is Infinity Fabric

Hey there, I have utilized the Radeon VII GPU in a Mac Pro using two 8 pin power cords feeding the GPU to the motherboard. With the build in this video, what are the power cable connectors needed to connect the Radeon VII GPU to the motherboard? I see that the motherboard used in this build that there are two 8 pin power connectors on the motherboard, so do I utilize those ports for the GPU, or am I direct power cable connecting to the power supply? Thanks so much!!!
each gpu needs 2 x 8pin power, some motherboards have additional pcie connector to power the motherboard pcie slots

no, I use stock original 100% vanila macOS without any modifications

that's not my problem opencore is not possible to hackintosh 3000 threadrippers :) That's their problem or problem of all people thinking the old prehistoric way of clover/opencore is even good idea :) I do it much better future way

Hi, I've been following your videos for a long time.
You can see in your demos, that in the construction of your ryzentosh, the GPU, achieves almost the same performance as with hackitosh on intel.
How do you do it?
Tried many times vanilla mojave last year on my 1920x and shapire rx580.
But...
Basically the fps that I get in the Blender viewport, for modeling and animation is between 10 or 15 fps on my screen.
In windows I get a more than 80 fps.
GPU performance drops a lot in general, and I read on amdosx forums that this is normal on a ryzentosh, I have given up.
Also try high saw with all required kext and it is the same waste of time.
A pity, it had everything functional, everything! usb, sleep, etc.
But 3D performance is the determining factor for me.
I am a 3D designer.
How do you do it?
Is it possible that an i9 on hackintosh loses gpu power for 3D as much as a ryzen9 compared to windows?
Formerly I had an intel 4770 and 1060 from nvidia on highsierra, they were wonderful times.

I'm building a "budget" 3900x Hackintosh ( I can not pay for Threadripper, my budget is around $2,500.00), and I just listen to you saying you can get a radeon VII for as low as US $500, but when I go to amazon all I can find is a US$ 1,799.99 XFX, would you mind telling me where to find it cheaper?.
I also notice you Catalina GPU links on the description are for Radeon RX5700xt not Radeon VII, do you thing its better the 5700xt for my 3900x setup?, I also notice 5700xt is PCI 4 and Radeon VII is only PCI 3.

Wishing for DaVinci Resolve to come over to the ARM world, although I'm getting by with the stuff out their for Android... Being photographer, videographer... trying to live cheap as possible on Linux & Android is hard to escape what Adobe has going.
no it's not hard, Adobe is HUGE SH!T. I got rid of it very easy long time ago and now I'm free and much more productive for much less money and pain!

Hi Theresa, is it true that XFX is better to avoid it for GPU. I'd like to buy a Radeon VII, but they're end of life and the only available on Amazon is the XFX one, no Sapphire.

I cannot recommend anything about Thunderbolt, I would not rely on that interface at all! I have 12x TB3 ports on my Mac Pro and I don't use a single one a I know very well why not.

I never recommended to rely on Thunderbolt, it's a way to compatibility and performance hell
