    Amazing video! Learned a lot, and that’s even after I’ve messed around with keybinds quite a bit! I personally prefer setting hold breath to press shift and sprint to hold shift, because you can’t hold your breath when moving and you can’t sprint when you aren’t moving, so the binds don’t conflict. I see a lot of people putting what I would consider useless stuff on mouse buttons, like drop items or blind fire instead of what I would consider essential in the moment, like leaning or throwing a nade. My suggestion for this is to use your B, V, C, X, and possibly Z keys if you’re flexible enough with your thumb. This adjustment opens up a ton of quick actions you can do with your thumb when not jumping, which why are you ever jumping so much you can’t free up your thumb? Just my two cents though! Keep up the great videos! Maybe one on headsets soon?😬

    • @furiousfelicia5751
      @furiousfelicia5751 Před 2 lety

      I use the same for hold breath/sprint. My mouse has 2 thumb buttons and 2 index finger buttons on the side of left click so I have no issues using those for stuff. More specifically discard item (just click on item with thumb button and it's gone), and my middle click is check mag, the two sides of middle mouse also work as buttons so that's my free look and check chamber/clear malfunction. The two buttons on left click are for zeroing +/- but I find myself using that less and less as I am getting more and more use to different setups and rounds.

    I think the tactical reload is very much dependant on gun type but I also think retention reloads could be a bit longer since you need to put the mag back. I think rigs should also affect reload speed. Pretty sure there are rigs that just have a little bag on the side for empty mags to drop in so that you dont have to fumble them back into your rig.

So press key 5 on heavybleed quickly drag across painkiller or healpack and than release button on light bleed. Now you have one key for all healing. Heavy Leeds is always more important so it’s on press and if you have no heavy by default you release the button and it heals the light bleed. a lot of shooters with "lean" I've found that flipping the lean buttons helps a lot with ergonomics in manoeuvring my keyboard. R6s squad and Arma are games where I've switched the lean buttons having to "shimmer" my finger off of E holding D is just awkward there was a period where i actually had "analog" lean in Arma 3 simply to free up my keyboard, i had pedals for piloting and learned i could just bind them to my lean buttons, worked quite well. it also added the.. "gradual lean" we also know from tarkov but instead of having to stay stationary i could analog lean whilst being mobile,

    I use Tactical on Mouse 5 (front mouse button) and high/low movement speed toggle on mouse 4. The former bind allows me to manipulate laser/light, check ammo etc a lot easier. The latter just gives me the instant speed-to-silent-to-speed movement without taking my fingers of WASD.
    In other games like Squad I usually run firemode on Mouse 4 but I found the movement modifier more important in Tarkov given how powerful sound is.

    • @shannenmr
      @shannenmr Před 2 lety

      Yes I find high/low movement on "back" mouse button really good, allows for quickly going silent / un-silent when coming up-to a gunfight or corner etc without moving you hands off the movement keys.

    I learned playing Rainbowsix siege where leaning is very important to bind my lean buttons to either C and V or V and B since your thumb is usually free in these types of games when engaging in fights. It takes a moment to get used to but I think this is the best setup for have snappy lean movement.

    I came up with something just now that allows me to unjam so fast i managed to make my overheated rifle jam three times in a row easy! Space + Scroll Down to inspect and Space + Scroll Up to check chamber (start scrolling down and when the inspect animation starts, then start spam scrolling up until check chamber animation starts). I use space as my all purpose modifier so my reload setup is Space + R for tactical reload, R for normal reload, R + scroll up for next mag, R + scroll down for previous mag, Alt + R to unload mag, and unrelated but Scroll Up for Next, and Scroll Down for Previous (i think this is how walking speed is adjusted as well). With regards to walking, i have Shift for walk, and Shift + Scroll up/down to adjust next/previous walk pose (the idea is holding shift puts you into a walk, but you can go even slower by keeping shift held and scrolling down to lower your stance). Does it all work? Yes xD

    I bound everything melee-related to the period key, because I got sick of fatfingering V when being surprised and pulling out my knife when being shot.
    (tbh for the rare occasions in which I need a knife, I have the time to press a key that's in a safer spot)
    Also for the same reason I unbound whatever was on the caps key, because getting shot and only being able to move at lowest walking speed until you start sprinting is very deadly and happened to me way too often.
    So if you are like me - and have the movement control of an alcohol addict after his first week of detox as soon as something scares/surprises you - then those things might help you aswell :°)

    I just wanted to add a simple, yet effective way to fix your weapon malfunction in 12.12. Due to the fact that you now need to inspect your current weapon before you can fix a malfunction this is what I've found most useful:
    Set "T + Shift" to "Press" on your "Inspect current weapon" and "Release" to your "Check chamber\Fix malfunction" controls.
    This will allow you to fix your malfunction by using one keybind rather than two. I hope this was helpful!

    • @sLidEwAyS4
      @sLidEwAyS4 Před 2 lety

      I did this keybind and found it needs to be reversed or everytime you press shift + t you just inspect your malfunction over and over and dont fix it unless you hold shift + t and release it after the inspect animation finishes to then clear the malfunction. I prefer not having my keyboard hands "locked up" and would rather click shift + t two times at my convenience to manage the weapon.

I already got used to other binds for Q and E, but i'll still give it a try. Also i suggest u to try check mag on continues "R", and reload on release. I'm a disabled gamer who uses a single 12 button mouse to play EFT, which means its hard to have all the key bindings easily available. It's still surprisingly easy to play, but not being able to move diagonally sucks. Anyways my point is I don't really care about keyboard key binds because their position on my mouse is my key bindings xD That being said I'm still trying to figure out the best configuration to allow me diagonal movement and leaning to be easily accessible. To anyone curious it's a Razer Naga (left handed edition).

      I know Xbox/Microsoft just started making a modular "controller" that can be set up in some amazing ways. "A" and "B" can be on a 5" dual-button foot pedal, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Definitely look into it.
