  • I used to consider 2-channel RC airplanes toys for kids, not tools for RC hobbyists to practice their skills on, or for them to have fun with in the local park. However, after recently experiencing the stability and high fun and coolness factors of two 2-channel airplanes (QF-002 Baby and C-17 Transport Aircraft), my opinions changed dramatically:

    • C-17 Transport Aircraf...
Even the 2-channel micro fighter jet Flybear FX-820 SU-35 flew great after I adjusted its center of gravity (CG) by adding a small weight under its nose cone:

What I experienced with these inexpensive 2-channel airplanes came as a total surprise to me. Thanks to their gyro stabilization, they do great even in moderate winds. I had great fun with these small aircraft and started to consider them inexpensive, simple, but legit entries to RC airplanes, especially for people on limited budget and unsure of their initial interest level in this hobby.
So how cheap can this hobby get? Apparently almost as low as $20! When I saw this DIY 350mm wingspan 2-channel mini RC airplane sold as an RTF (ready-to-fly) package for $20.95, I had to get it and try out. After all, not everyone has a large budget to start this hobby or is willing to spend a lot just to try it out. If this little airplane proves itself as a good flyer, then it will be a great option for these cash-conscious hobbyists, especially when consider that it has built-in gyro stabilization!
In the first video, I presented its unboxing and detailed assembly:

In this second video, I am doing the maiden flight of this small and colorful airplane and sharing my final verdict. Do I recommend it or not? Well, you have to watch to find out!

Why shouldn't they fly over people? It is a rare chance for it to land or hit them especially at a high altitude.

I had a second one (I accidentally ordered two), which I gave to a local friend of mine. He is crafty, so I asked him if he can thinker with it and improve its flight characteristics. If he does, I will make a video of it. Stay tuned.
