X320 J-15 (Fuiorum SU-27) 2CH 520mm EPP Micro Jet RTF - Part 2: Maiden Flight (and Crashes)

If you have been following our channel, then you may already know that I have been obsessed with 2-channel RC airplanes. Why? Because they provide the most affordable and easiest entry to our hobby. However, they also carry a critical responsibility: if they do not provide a great experience right out of the box, then they may scare newcomers away from the hobby.
Hence, I as an RC flying enthusiast and supporter, I feel that it is my duty to provide unbiased reviews and recommendations for the RC airplanes in this important 2-channel segment. The more people become RC hobbyists, the healthier and stronger our RC community will become.
I purchased this X320 J-15 (or SU-27, according to the box) 2-channel EPP micro jet from Banggood for $29 shipped to my door:

I could not believe the size of the box when it arrived; it was much larger than I had been expecting. The airplane turned out to be quite large as well, compared to my other 2-channel micro jets. Inside the box, everything was well packaged and organized, but there was a loose piece (the battery cover of the transmitter) that has been moving around and making rattling noises. Fortunately, that piece was light enough and did not cause any damage to the airplane during shipment. The airplane needed some minor assembly. Its vertical stabilizers had to be glued or taped on. I taped them on to make them removable, in case I wanted to pack everything back into the box. Also, the landing gear needed to be pushed into their slots, its battery charged, and six AA batteries (not provided) inserted into its transmitter to get it ready for its first flight. In this episode, I am performing its maiden flight on a misty, muddy morning. I am also testing its durability with a few crashes!
