What is your favorite goalkeeper save ever? 👇
Absolutely Manuel Neuer.
That is VERY HARD
Perhaps Yashin vs West Germany 1966 or Gordon Banks vs Brazil 1970! PERHAPSSSSS... Manuel Neuer vs Porto 2008, Jim Montgomery vs Leeds United 1973, Peter Shilton vs Coventry City 1978, Gianluigi Buffon vs Paraguay 1998, Petr Cech vs Manchester United 2013, Lukasz Fabianski vs Wigan Athletic 2008, Jose Luis Chilavert vs Boca Juniors 1997, Manuel Neuer vs Arsenal 2015, Rene Higuita vs England 1995, Rogerio Ceni vs Liverpool 2005, Pat Jennings vs ?, Fabien Barthez vs Liverpool 2002, Joe Hart vs Slovenia 2016, Tim Howard vs Southampton 2015, Jan Oblak vs Bayer Leverkusen, Oliver Kahn vs Rangers 1999, Jerzy Dudek vs Milan 2005, Peter Schmeichel vs Germany 1992... and more, Only fantastic saves, extraordinary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Football is History!
IIEE AA You haven't watch the video.😂
Manuel neuer because he changed how keepers play
Guillermo Ochoa !
I love how some of the old saves weren't actually that good as the modern ones but they were classified as more legendary because of the occasion
What were they
Moreso than in the other compilations Notelicioux has made, the moments in this video decided titles, look at how many of the saves in the video, even in recent times, were made in Champions League or World Cup finals. Note that Dida/Julio Cesar's saves, although at earlier stages of the competition, were essential to their respective teams each reaching and winning the Champions League final. It's fascinating and scary how crucial the efforts of a great keeper are to a successful team
"the occasion" makes a lot of difference.
Like casillas save in 2010
It's not just that, the balls back then weighed lots more than now, the pitches were rock hard (if you've fallen on frozen mud you know how hard it is) and the gloves were tiny to non existant
Sadly most of Lev yashins matches were never recorded so he might have made saves that would shock us
Exactly my point of view. But it's not only Yashin's cause. Zamora, Planička, Grosics... all these heroes from the pre-TV times will be known only from the legends, risen by these, who had been watching them live. We'll never be able to verify them... Of course, it's not only about goalkeepers, but all of positions.
True both 😢
@@avtandil as well as valdimir beara
@@dalcomaroni9837 agree, he also was a great gk
@@avtandil and upon winning the Ballon D'or Lev Yashin (allegedly) said that he isn't the best goalkeeper, and that Vladimir Beara is the best
Goalkeeping is the hardest part in football
I don't think any position in football is objectively hardest but keeping is a damn challenge. The pressure, the courage, I love watching great saves as much as goals
Each position of each player is simply equally necessary.. depending on the situation
I play gk and it is not easy but more stressful than anything the entire team on your back
@@teaganbuckson8463 same
@@teaganbuckson8463 it takes practice and hard work
Yashin, at least statistically was the best goalkeeper the world has ever seen. Pioneered in goalkeeping tactics and made goalkeeper into essentially what it is today.
The most influential goalkeeper of all time. The greatest we've ever seen
@@nicoffee777 Neuer made goalkeeping what it is now, sweeper keeper.
@@littleknight1465 Neuer changed football, Yashin revolutionised it
@@nicoffee777 Yeah but most influential for nowadays is Neuer
@@littleknight1465 For this century he is, never denied that
1:24 Gordon Ramsay, looking far and wide for that lamb sauce.
Lmaoooooo 😅😂
That’s Schmeichel you utter idiot. How thick do you have to be you incompetent idiot

Favourite keeper: Kasper Schmeichel
Favourite save: Neuer vs Ronaldo.
Are you a leicester fan?
@@lcfcbeliever04 Nope a Chelsea fan.

1:55 i swear thats what the score hero goalkeepers do
Jimmy Montgomery double save has always been my favourite of all time. Biggest game of his life, FA Cup Final at Wembley playing for a 2nd Division team against an outstanding Leeds team with most of the Country watching on TV. To produce that and Sunderland pull off the almighty upset to win doesn't get any better really.
the second save is pure heroics I agree with you
Considering that Peter Lorimer, who hit the ball, had one of the most powerful shots in the game. Totally Brilliant Save.@@cattycats4
Je pense comme vous.
8:28 that thigh bicycle kick clearance was the best thing i ever saw!
Marcelo Grohe's save at 1:30 is monstruous, I celebrated that more than a goal...
Lies again? Redmart Walmart

Watching goalkeeper saves are kinda satisfying
Footballer: shoots penalty
The ball hits the post and comes back
Another footballer: shoots an amazing shoot to the upper left corner and is about to celebrate
Pat Jennings: get Pat Jenningsed lol
I like your profile
My favorite goalkeeper Iker Casillas
My favorite save dudek on Shevchenko in 2005 UCL Final
Fax Casillas is clearly the best so far
i still dont understand how Dudek saved it!
3:04 underrated keeper he was buffon idol
Rogério Ceni- 131 gols scored.
São Paulo Futebol Clube.
Plus the saves.
All of these are TREMENDOUS saves! love em, each one of them.
But the Chilavert one. Dayumn!! That ball was in an impossible angle for most goalkeepers, and the shooter was no other than Maradone him self. What a wonderful show of skill from both.
My personal 2 favourite since ever are Lev Yashin and Claudio Bravo. Legends!
chilavert is in my opinion the greatest and most complete keeper of all time. Im Argentine and used to watch his club (velez) and Paraguay just to see him play.
he isn't talked about in Europe so much because most of his career took place in South America.
he not only saved goals but assited strikers (he could send the ball from goal to goal with precision), and he scored an insane amount of goals through free kicks and penalties, more than most strikers ever score.
on top of that he was a natural a leader and intimidated his opponents.
Why isn't someone talking about Buffon? What a goalkeeper!
We have been talking about him for the last 20 years

Overrated by Italians
czcams.com/video/H9IQTA3bNtQ/video.html&ab_channel=DZshorts best saves of the 2020/21 season
he is GOAT bro
if this video ever gets recreated emi martinez save in extra time should be in this
Perfeito
One of my favorite saves is from stekelenburg in the world cup quarter final match between netherlands and brasil, with a shot from kaka. Brilliant shot and a brilliant save
if i have to pick out on save only i have to say that the dudek save vs milan is - considering all the circumstances (CL Finale, being down 3:0 after minutes, in the 120th minute, vs one of the best strikers of that time, etc) - will be very unlikely be dethroned from #1 spot of my all time favourite saves. remembering watching it live still gives me goosebumps
That Gordon Banks save is by far the most well known, simply for the commentary alone.
Amazing selection. I think the Jimmy Montgomery one might always be my favourite. The goal seems so inevitable...The David Button one, new to me, looks absolutely impossible. And it's always good to see that wide angle of the Banks save, because it drives home how incredible it really is. Beyond the occasion, the player who heads it, and the mystique they've both acquired over the years is a simple, still-remarkable fact: as Pelé meets the ball, Banks has just started to go the wrong way.
Oh, Yashin, Dasaev, Akinfeev, our legends. Thanks.
0:18 I'll never forget how, while the corner kick was being set, Chicharito went to congratulate Čech for making such an amazing save.
The scorpion kick save is my all time favorite att 12:20
Thx for this video love from Colombia 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
I just came here to hear “What a save! Gordon Banks”
11:51 - that Neuer save from Walcott's header is just ridiculous
chilavert is in my opinion the greatest and most complete keeper of all time. Im Argentine and used to watch his club (velez) and Paraguay just to see him play.
he isn't talked about in Europe so much because most of his career took place in South America.

This is so much better than watching goals scored
The old saves are so much more impressive imo, the balls were a lot heavier so stuff like fingertip saves were impossible. Not discounting current keepers and saves but people need to realise, for me the best save was against Pele by Banks, insane save.
LEV YASHIN
Quality compilation with amazing range of videos and good editing & music, every football compilation videos should look up to something like this
What really warmed my danish heart, was seeing both Peter Schmeichel AND his son Kasper ( Schmeichel in his own name know) on this list :-)
9:46 was a special one. Casillas just appeared at the far post out of nowhere.
Gianlugi Buffon my Favorite of all time there is never can't replace him... Even with new Goalkeepers star that have now..
Brilliant, thanks for making the video. 👏🏻👍🏻
As a goalkeeper this gives me more hope to play that post most of these saves are terrific and beautiful that’s why goalkeeping is an art
another banger for me to chill out and look at :)
Goalkeeper's rules: no fair, no think too much, fight till the end... To be the wall.
Thanks a lot for doing this with decisive midfielders like Modric or Iniesta, goalkeeper is my favorite position! thanks for keeping announcers!
Chilavert stops a perfect free kick from Maradona. So well done, Maradona goes right up to him to congratulate.
2:16 that triple save from Armani in Copa libertadores is priceless.

1:28 Holy shit!!!
I have watched that movie and in the end i was only wonder what goalkeeper i miss in that 100...for sure Thomas Ravelli...great compilation by the way...my favorite is Dudek v Shevchenko in Stambul...great save in great moment of the game...
I Play goalkeeper and I have a tournament today and watching these always inspires me
How was it?
Dudek’s face after making a extraordinary save in the champions league final 🤙🏻🤪😎
The balls back then weighed about 1 kilo and the player hit it with such power, bearing in mind they only wore mitten gloves. Excellent Save. 2:08
guillermo ochoa is wayyyyy too underrated
Not more than Kasper Schmeichel.
No hets overrated if anything. He makes flashy saves but he's very inconsistent
Amazing at the 2014 WC, but that's about it.
Que es mexicano dice

How FIFA makes the goalkeepers when the scripting realizes I’m about to score: 20:13

It’s hard to think he’s buffon
Great vid. I love it whenever football wasn't invented in 2014, which is the impression I often get from other vids.
14:53 the guy is already celebrating lmfao
My dad played in the same Sheffield Boys team as Gordon Banks - rip Dad and Gordon 💙🤍💙🤍💙🤍
O Goleiro tem que acreditar sempre! Não pode desistir nunca. Forte abraço!
Esse é o mindset
Ive seen couple videos by this channel and i have to admit this channel is quite interesting and good.......👍
I don't even watch soccer but this was entertaining as hell.
awesome video 👍
Growing up I always regretted giving up my life as a midfielder for one of a GK. Now I look back and realize i cherished the good times and learned skills in the bad times.
Also, that Dudek save vs Shevchenko in the UCL final is crazy lucky and probably my favorite haha
I love to see an amazing save just as much as an amazing goal
I grew up in late 70s early 80s watching some top notch goalkeepers, chepe hielo,Riccardo mora both from El salvador and Arzu from Honduras.
The scorpion kick is hands down the best save of all time.
Nah, maybe coolest but definitely not the best. Basically requires 0 skill, just movement.
A neat party trick but never a best save. It wasn't even the first scorpion kick he did that night. He was practising them in the warm-ups before the game, which was a meaningless friendly early in the season at a very poorly attended Wembley. It was cool, and iconic, but a best save should have something riding on it, and a lot of these other saves were huge contextually.
No fue calentamiento, fue partido en movimiento... pero si amistoso...de los últimos partidos disputados en el antiguo wembley
Where is the double save of ter stegen against sevilla
Wtf😂😂
13:13
9:18 ITS THE BEST PETR CECH
Chealse HAVE KIPER IS THE BEAST
Falta la del Dibu wachoooooo 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷

Suarez save against Ghana vs Uruguay in the end of the match then wins with penalty’s after extra time
Liv Yashin😍😍❤️
¡Excelente video! Muy completo, con atajadas de todo el mundo.
13:21 até hoje essa mexe comigo 🥰🟥⬜⬛
Maior goleiro de todos
12:20 great saves in the history
No it is overrated. He was showboating
3:09 wow
I remember that Schmeichel save against Rapid Vienna, gave me quite the fright initially.
Buffon save in the UCL final versus Milan is the most memorable for me. I don’t know how on earth he could get that ball. Indzagi agrees
I remember being in mid air thinking Rod Wallace had scored what a save for Kahn one of the best I've seen 👏
16:01 holy those reflexes are insane
Helmut Duckadam had 4 pelalty kicks in a row, saved, and it’s in the Guinness World Records. In my opinion this is the greatest Goalkeeper performance because he did it when it mattered the most, in the 1986 European Cup final, against FC Barcelona!🎉🎉🎉
Banks and Schmeichel, one in the old days and one in the PL era. But the one who I always loved the most was N'Kono, the black panther
An underrated position
Now Dibu Martínez vs France world cup final min 123 bruh
17:48 oof that Fillol save, sprung like a cat! That and the Neuer save were my favourites. Some really excellent saves across the board in all fairness, hard to pick one 'best' save
Nice 👍 I like hashing save the cometer said to take a kick instead of a shot
19:07 Howard
19:50 De Gea
9:18 Cech
17:22 Seaman
19:18 Banks
2:41 Buffon
that's only 6 of them
Could have included another dozen of Neville southalls
Fav kepper:neur
Fav save:Manuel neur 2008 where he did a mid air split and made a incredible save
Finaly someone who doesnt make european-football-only compilation!
The Courtois save last night against Man City is simply unreal too.
10:56 para los argentinos y chilenos
martinez defo deserves a spot after the world cup final
Great video. It was nice to see some clips that pre dated the 2000s.
me: WHAT? 20 MINUTES OF VIDEO?
me after the video: it's already over?
Casillas🥰🥰💗💗❤all time favorite
So overrated
16:52 Miguel Ángel!!!!!!!!!
dudek and buffon's are clearly the best for me.
they stopped great players(ballond'or holder) at really important moment(CL and WC)
The feeling you get when you make an amazing save that won you 1st place
Oliver Kahn is the legend and best of the best
Petr Cech so underrated pretty much won Chelsea the champions league by himself.
I seem to recall Drogba scoring the equaliser in the final and scoring the winning penalty. So Czech played a massive part but didn’t win it by himself
How is he underrated?
Him and Didier Drogba, Chelsea was shit in the league that season though
1:11 Jessie Dudek!!!
It’s not Jessie u spastic
Legends
