This man is the Bob Ross of chess
Underrated comment
"oh no, my queen" but there are no mistakes, just happy accidents
Check out Yasser Sierawan if you want the bob ross of chess
Who the heck is Bob Ross??
But for real, I listen to him to relax myself and sometimes fall asleep
These are my favorite videos. I watch them to fall asleep to, then get to start again from when I fell asleep the following 4-5 nights.
Same here đ i just finished them. I dont why but his voice is great to make one sleepy in bed
Same. I sometimes wonder why I'm watching a chess stream with my eyes closed, lol.
*
He's the Bob Ross of chess đ
same here
Watching your game at 3hr 10min, and I have one thing to say: Dear Eric. I watch a lot of CZcams chess (Iâm old and donât watch streaming. Sorry, I guess?) and you always have the most MENTAL positions.
You know how you watch some footy or tennis and be like âman those lads are goodâ. Thatâs whatâs itâs like for us plebs.
Yourself, Levy, Bartholomew, Finegold, Chessbrahs, Sir Lord Ginger of house WilliamsâŠ. (Tbh the folk I watch most) No youâre not Magnus. You might care, you may not.
On behalf of the silent majority who donât comment, we donât care either. All we want to see is something that blows our minds and is awesome to watch. No matter what those loud minorities say, itâs a bloody good show, every bloody time đđ»
50:08 "Sack everything, it might be checkmate" ... literally my strategy every bullet game :)
SACK IT ALL 2022
My strategy is similar except I don't believe it's checkmate.
L
Lo
There's just something so relaxing about watching Eric play
My thoughts exactly, soothing.
fr, i feel like i could fell asleep everytime i watch his videos
@@asn9732 I do
I developed this weird addiction where i can only fall asleep while listening to a calming chess explanation. Eric Rosen works pretty well also John Bartholomew
Haha, eric always makes me fall asleep
Thanks for chaptering these videos, helpful!
It's honestly impressive
"visually it looks really good, cuz the king is completely naked".
Rosen 2022
1:23:54 "I'm up a whole rook. No, an exchange. For a pawn.' [sad pause] "Maybe I could've gotten more..." Well, that celebration was short-lived đ
Eric if you read this know that you're a great content creator and your videos bring me joy every day when I study and learn more about chess. Thanks
1:56:24 was the ultimate case of your worst piece becoming your best. Great stuff.
A 3 hour video is really great . đ . Thanks Eric .
Itâs 4 hours đ€Ą
As a brittish person this sounds really sarcasticđ
@@thegaffgaming9503 sarcasm is my speciality
31:24 Poor Derek Banas... Eric called him Derek Bananas
25:34 how to check this? does any1 have the link?
I am having a headache right now Eric, thanks for uploading now I can calm down while laying in the bed :))
Love from Indiaâșïž
I love watching you play, I can learn a lot from you
Oh, the last game was so tense. Zhigalko wanted the draw because Chessar was 5 points away from him. Would have meant the victory. If Chessar'd won and he lost, they would have had the same amount... However, in the last minute some points were restored (cheater) which got you 3, Chessar 8 but Zhigalko only 7 points. Chessar needed only 4 points to equalize! Didn't matter since Zhigalko won against you though...
15:58 That startled me little bit and made me happy.
Eric, you are pure inspiration in such a crazy world. @ 3:48:12 was a highlight for me. The previous game could have tilted you...and it did to an extent of the next game...but you prevailed. Your attitude is beyond model. Thank you for reminding me of what's best of this human race. saludé!
That Benoni gambit was really tense! im glad you took a look at it after the game , i was wondering why you hadnt taken the pawn. at first i thought i was just being a silly little 500. but for one move i was actually right! lol anyway, great video as always Eric! thank you for all of thee great games, win or lose. low rated players like me love to see weird and crazy gambits both for entertainment, and to try them out.
I have learned the most from Mr Rosen particularly the Stafford gambit which I try use everything I play black
So happy to watch this on Twitch as well while playing the tournament myself.
Hope your tournament went well!
"Okay, where's my mate?" Eric Rosen đ€ bucks this time of year
Being calm is key what you said it was genius! That's my humble but pro appreciation.
Yep, good comparison to Bob Ross by Jordan below..Eric is really growing with his chess. He will get GM one day if he goes for it.
What is the link to that Rosen score site? That sounds really amusing.
It was worth watching full video to see Zhigalko reaction at the end :D
It's neither whale fishing nor whale hunting, but simply whaling!
2:13:28 According to Stockfish Rh6 was the best move, because if he takes the knight you have Qxh2 followed up with Rg6 which leads to basically the same exact position.
i love how you chaptered the video
LMAO That superchat on 54:46 đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
1:15:36 how come g3 to remove the knight from defending h5 wasn't played?
Iâm stuck at around the 1810-1860 mark, any tips I can do to get out of the plateau would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
I was stuck there for 6 months, too and just got over the plateau a few days ago, breaking 1900 for the first time!
Learning Endgames did it for me
Also try to deepen you opening preparation with every game
Good luck! :)
@@ferdiskala Iâll try that, appreciate it! Any favorite openings of yours you recommend?
@@peterb9407 Iâm 2000 rapid and I have reached 1940 in bullet and I play caro kaan and king Indian as black Vienna as white and I have various things I do against e4 responses that are not e5, like smith mora against the Sicilian and orthoshnap against the French
@@edoardobarboni6357 thank you sir, do you think boring play tends to work out better? I really just love to have fun with it and make it tricky I guess, if so, Iâll opt for a more traditional style of play
im stuck in 1200 range in lichess. what should i do?
2:06:01 All of White's pawns are fixed on the same color as Black's bishop, while none of Black's pawns can be captured by White's bishop...an important lesson to keep in mind about bishop endings!
0:01 the list looks like the silhouette of a person
How to find the site Rosen Score? 25:35
what background music is he playing?
Someone help me, doesnât Eric just lose a pawn at 3:00 if white plays Bxc7?
Yes, they both missed it
Love this vods
54:00 I played Eric â€ïžtoo bad I missed that knight checkmateđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
You are Langajay?
Yes
@@langajay506 You even changed your name in youtube. I am also a Caro Kann player BTW. Can you play me?
@@animezoneamv9116 yeah let's play send me a message/challenge at lichess
@@langajay506 Ok
1:08:25 I wonder why Eric decided to take with queen and then with knight preserving the knight and not vice versa. Does anybody know?
Because then white is not obligated to take. The knight would be just pinned to the queen and could be easily attacked by f pawn
Loved this
16:19 I thought you said âI have a pretty bussinâ positionâ lol
I just wanted to chime in. I noticed that at around 3:16. White had Bxc7 because you can't play Qxc7 or else Qxb4. White would win a pawn and threaten discovery on black's queen with an exchange of the dark squared bishops. Did you miss that or was it some sort of gambit that I'm missing? I thought that I might be crazy so I checked an engine and it does appear that white's best move would have been Bxc7.
But I believe that white just played a3 instead so perhaps they missed it as well.
I'm relatively new to Chess. So I'm glad that I'm seeing some lines that even some masters appear to miss sometimes. Perhaps it's because I enjoy doing Chess puzzles.
I think they should do a year long blitz tournament with no rating limit or limit to who you could play (a 600 could be paired against a 2200) and the whole point is that you play till you lose. After you lose you are kicked from the tournament for the rest of the month you lost in and your win streak is posted on a leaderboard and at the end of the year the people with the top 10 longest win streaks for the year play a big tournament with major cash prizes. I feel like it would definitely draw attention to the game and make a fun challenge for pros to do their best to not be rated more than their opponents, but rather play smarter than their opponents
game at 1:48:00 was crazy so many discoveries and tactics
The ending đ€Ł
Whatâs the deals with the quacks?? Lol i donât tune in to enough streams
"Derek Bananas" haha 31:15
53:35 2200 misses mate in one.. he must've been so nervous in this game
2:15:49 isnât the queen trapped after Rh1?
Love watching your videos
Eric needs to become a gm he has all the potential.
Couldnt eric do rxbg4 in 1:56:11?
49:45 why didnt he play nxb4 first instead?
Ben Finegold: Never play f3.
Eric Rosen: Always play f3 checkmate.
Leeets goo â€ïž
1:56:36 - It sounds like Eric is insulting his opponent when that's just his opponent's username.
Eric, are you an INFP?
Lol, glad I made it to the end
*Oh, there's a funny line here!*
*Wait it doesn't work*
*Ohh noo*
how is your comment the only one not in cursive
At 25:00, your opponent should bishop check and win your rook. But he didnât and said rook killed him.
There goes my next 4 hours.
Eric beserk s the game
Again eric I'm behind 2 minutes đđ
Another new reason for not paying attention to online class, OH NO MY CHEMISTRY SCORES!
@ 28:03 you should have just traded queens. If he takes with rook you put your bishop on e3 and win the rook or the knight. If he takes with king, well than the king is on an uncomfortable square.
Sheesh the game at 39:30 was complete destruction đ
Very excited Zighalko when he won....
Turns on pentatonic
Heart rate immediately spikes
yess a 4 hour vid
1:10:00 everyone missed Nf7 forking rooksđ€Ł
2:06:00 lesson, endgame same color bishop, pawn should be on opposite color
1:06:52 I think Bf7 is a brilliant move for sure
I don't think so. It's easy to find and a natural move. Also what it does is simple. Not a great combination or trick.
If you had accepted the draw Zhigalko only would have been in second place!
Sure? He would have 218 points which is more than 217... if chessar and he had the same points, Zhigalko would still win because his win percentage would have been higher...
'Definitely Maybe' is a nice album. :-)
Eric please put relaxing music in the background of your streams. Itâs all theyâre missing
Wouldn't it make more sense to just resign the games that are obviously, or most likely lost? That way that time can be used to face more opponents and gain more points.
Eric getting ready for his honeymoon "So I guess I'm pretty close to mating"
The ending looooool
1:16:40 Since white Queen was pre-moved, if black BxN (instead of resigning) - "Oh No! My Queen?"
Its check
Anyone else spot the hanging bishop at @1:56:15 ?
Oh no my next 4 hours!
Vague ideas of king to e3
59:36 It isn't a blunder if you win.
I wish I existed⊠THEN Iâd show emđđ
52:55 Heart rate: 146 !
You should NEVER turn off Yasser
How it has no views but comments ?
1:56:06 ah I was screaming at the screen the bishop was hanging! (Pawn was pinned by the queen)
Great chess!
I use these vids to fall asleep. The pentatonic sounds are not nearly as relaxing đ
1:56:14 Eric missed a free piece with *33...Rg4*
Looks good to me
3:39:53 Say the line!
Definitely Maybe is the name of an Oasis album.
Good Job Eric
Yearly Blitz Arena, more like Yearly Berserk Arena! Good Rosen vibes and dubious openings as always :D
Genuinely donât understand the decision to berserk almost every game at the end. I know 5 points is better than 4 but 4 is much better than 0 đ
And that is why no one will remember your name
Eric Rosen missed Will Smith giving Chris Rock love
2:47:48 black made it obvious he was cheating with QE7. Pretty amazing that you guys were dead locked even for like 50 moves while you were playing stockfish. Pinxit was banned a couple games later.
Omg I love chess!
