Really? I like sports but this is US inbred namedropping and completely uninteresting statistics for almost anyone who’s not from the US. It’s not ”magic”. It is the lack of witt, dynamic and timing in the show, which once was one of the few things that made Buzzfeed Unsolved unique, in contrast to the other zillon channels that already coverered the exact same subjects.

What if the frozen envelope was lightly misted with water before being frozen? Also, on the other hand, would the results really have been a lot different if that didn't happen. Having the draft on national TV also had an impact. I think it is just hard to isolate the two.

Please please look at 1919 World Series and the infamous Black Sox scandal. All players found guilty of throwing the series and were blackballed. There is some question IF they did it and if so then who participated. An all time great Shoeless Joe Jackson couldn’t get into hall of fame which lingers to this day

Adam Villalobos Shoeless Joe Jackson was considered by many to be the greatest baseball player of all time. During those times, baseball owners didn’t really pay players a “ton” of money. The owner of the White Sox was notoriously bad about paying his players next to nothing. Many baseball players actually worked a job outside of playing baseball to support themselves. In 1919, the white Sox went up against the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series, with many people betting on the Sox to win it. The story goes that Jackson, along with 7 other White Sox players took money from a well known gangster to throw the World Series. However, Jackson batted .348 and had the series only home run..causing many to believe he never took the money at all. However all 8 players were found guilty, and banished from baseball.
I like that Zack is skeptical. This show would fall apart if he was more like Ryan, and gave credit to any theory no matter how outlandish. No hate, honestly I do like this show and the criminal version as well, it just works because there is a balance between Ryan and Zack similar to the one between Ryan and Shane.

As someone who’s worked for companies and organizations widely thought to only hire the absolute smartest people in the world, people are way stupider than everyone thinks, you’d only think of freezing the envelope in hindsight, pretty much no one would come up with that as an idea
