This episode made me realize just how DAMN MUCH I miss Shapel being on King and the Sting...
The original culture corner!!
he is so much better off, glad to see him on here.
@@jfettlol I truly hope so. I love everything about Shapel. Such a cool dude
Why did he leaaveee
Because Schaub is difficult to be around
Ryan and Shapel are two of the best good energy dudes around
Came here to comment this.
Yes, 2 beautiful souls
You guys are making me cry on a tuezdee. What a sweet moment between Shapel and his little sister.
Tuezdee😂🤣
Shapel is such a sweet guy. Love this guy!
Absolutely one of my favorite episodes on the Honeydew. Incredible stories!!!!
It’s made me reevaluate my role as a stepfather and I truly appreciate you guys for sharing. Happy Toosedee!!!
This is absolutely whole heartwarming to here. Thank you for being such an open minded, progressive parental role. Good on ya man! As a single parent, it is hard to feel positively about the possibility of having a successful partnership in parenting. You have restored my faith in humanity. Thank you. Truly.
Happy Toosedee to you as well good sir!
Holy shit, this episode hit me to the core. I lost my brother/protector recently. “Lost my soul” was exactly how I felt.
Such a great guest. ❤
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm grieving as well. Def feels like your core has been plucked out and you can't stand straight without it
What a wholesome story. Bout choked up he told me “Baby”’s story of kissing him and his realization of love moment.
Sickler is gonna be a huge name in the near future
We all come for the laughs, but stay for the mental health advice. Thank you Ryan (and his guests) for providing a great outlet for young people, like me.
♥️
Shapel repping Turnstile on The 'Dew! Gotta love it!... maybe even with T.L.C? lmao
Can’t believe how big that band is blowing up and they’re not mainstream yet.
They’ve been blowing up but curios to see how they’ll sound without their guitarist. He had a lot to do with their sound.
@@nicolascarabajal4183 what??? Someone quit?
@@ShawnxEdge Brady either quit or got kicked out
I’ve been missing Shapel a lot. Great to see him!
I love men feeling safe with Ryan and then going in, it’s so beautiful to witness their processes of healing and openness🥹❤.
Man I felt so emotional listening to this story, especially about his step dad. I never had a good relationship with my dad and hearing this makes me want to reach out to him. It also makes me want to hug my son. I had a chaotic upbringing and I was always so confused as a kid, I always promised myself I’d never let my own child feel that way. Now when I look at my son it makes me happy knowing he’ll never know a life like that.
Shapel, you just got another fan for life. Always great content from the Sickle Cell.
Reach out to your dad. I know it’s hard but I bet he feels the same desire and just doesn’t know how to either.
Breaking the cycle is something to be so proud of!
Love hearing Shapel's back story. Miss you and Cat on KATS.
Amazing story and episode. Shapel is a legit good dude and I wish him the most success in life. I’ve watched almost every episode of the HoneyDew and this one hit me hard
Ryan Sickler is the Oprah the world really needs.
"What makes you feel like you're not one of us" Face to Face
Shapel is great can't wait to see him live
Just found this dude and now hes on the honeydew! Hes a great standup, go watch
Shapel is one of my favorite up and coming comedians. I wish him the best in his career. He deserves it all.
This was wonderful. What a great Honey Dew story. Shapel is so incredibly sweet! I just want to hug him. ❤
Great episode, I rarely comment and like just because it escapes my mind. But this episode reminded me, Shapel is a shining example of just moving forward
This one needs a part 2.
Man this was such a beautiful episode!
Amazing to see Shapel on podcast with a host that actually allows him to speak
New appreciation for Shapel now. Sounds like he's really grown. I grew up in very similar circumstances and still struggle with bitterness.
Shout out to that family that took Shapel in. Warms my heart to hear stories about people like this.
Hell yea Turnstile bro!
Please make theses longer! After every one I feel myself yearning for more of the guests story fr!
The struggle has made a remarkable person! Amazing work Shapel 🤙🏼take deep breaths ❤
Just finished watching Ryan on Harland Highway jump on over it was hysterical, nice to see Shapel its been a hot minute
Whoop watching that next
I didn’t even know about that podcast! Thanks for mentioning it, listening to that next! 😊
The show was made for guests like this. SL a real one ❤️ LoveIsTight
Man I love this podcast. Shapel’s story is so amazing. The beauty that is these two just putting goodness out into the world, in spite of their childhood experiences. Over here crying in my Brussels sprouts.
Might I say he looks very nice with the Turnstile shirt. Love this guy!
I’m adopted too I’ve always liked this guy
Yoooo shapel went to my high school. Would always see him at shows, i didn’t really know him but it’s great to see him succeeding. Mesa!!!!!
Love Shapel Lacey! A lot of the things he said I was able to learn from therapy and really resonated. With that said I KNOW this interview will change someones life and see things the way Shapel does... and hopefully help them on this journey called LIFE! Stay blessed ya'll
Chapell is such a good dude. We all need a chapel in our lives. May life bless you chapel.
You spelt his name wrong, 3 times.. 😂
Turnstile tribe. I’m a fan for life
Shapel......I miss your smile and Ryan's laugh is something I need to experience live. Haha I'll be howling hahah
Chappelle talking about his baby sister is so goddamn moving.
Hell yeah man I grew up outside of Mesa and chandler , you making us Arizona folk proud Shapel
loving the turnstile shirt
i really did not enjoy him when he was on The Fighter and the Kid, and now i feel bad, i didn’t give him a fair chance. Shapel is a really genuine and kind person. ❤thanks for having him on.
Love is tight ♥️
Ryan is a great interviewer and Shapel is a great guest!
Shapel was the back flip guy at his school. Shoutout Dan from the Nick Thune episode.
Got this sweet / badass hurricane rollin in AND a little Honey Dew ?
ill take it
Haha! Cleaning up my yard while listening today - stay safe, neighbor!
Man I suffered with a mental abuse and also physical step dad towards my mom all my life, I’m 25 and he’s out me and my moms house but he still comes over cause mom still loves him which I don’t understand how but I know I need to stop having all this hate in my heart for this one guy I appreciate y’all for sharing this and I swear as I’m typing this my mom texted me saying she loves me. God works for sure
Hope you're doing better man
DV relationships are complicated, she most likely hates that she [ thinks she] loves him, but it's the familiarity and attachment thats hard to break. Can't speak for your mom but it's kind of an addiction mentality. I hope you both are safe and that dude is minding his P's and Q's these days
I know it's hard but try to forgive and move on. Not for his sake but for your own because at the end of the day it's only hurting you, and you deserve better my brother. All love ❤️
Shapel rep'ing the Turnstile shirt, love it!!
I was thinking what should I watch, Netflix , a show I’ve watched before, or Ryan Sickler. I’ve been feeling down recently and n I said fux it Ima watch Ryan bc his shows n laugh make me feel better and I can relate. And I’m so glad you had shapel lacey, a human who deserves to be heard . Thank you Ryan. You do a lot more than what you know . DMV love ❤️
What a damn good episode. Shapel is that dude… keep on being you man we need more people in this world like Shapel.
Two of the best laughs in comedy, their genuine laughter is contagious
This was a good one
You're getting amazing at interviews Ryan. This was a beautiful conversation. It's such a nice break from the otherwise bitterness and lunacy, seeing two genuinely good dudes come from dark places that have positivity enough to light up a room.
TURNSTILE!!! I have that shirt but white ❤️❤️❤️
Another classic!
“He went back in…” 🔐 Best part! Right at the end too!
My Night pants are always high and tight , it’s tremendous.
Good to see Shapel!
Playas, I've been looking forward to this episode since it was alluded to when Jason Ellis was on Shapel's podcast!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I saw the thumbnail and just went AWWWW SH*T!!!
Great episode!! Thank you guys
What a sweet dude
Shapel Lacey, what a cool dude.
I’ve heard Shapel’s story thousands of times but its still good to hear and see a guy elevate and overcome the circumstances he was given.
Pumped for this eppy! Gotta save it for after worksy ❤️❤️
I'm ready for these white childhood stories from Shapel!!
I think this is the least Sickler has ever talked what a fucking guest shapel is, so glad to see him doing great man. I really hope we keep seeing him on podcasts more often.
I relate with this story so much.
I had an abusive stepdad. My older brother died when I was 14, I'm 45 now. He was 21. He was the one that raised me.
When my brother got big enough he knocked out my stepdad with braceknuckles. Then my mom moved us out of the city to be away from my stepdad.
Man....I needed this. I thought about him through this whole podcast.
Damn I love that Chapel was on the show. Very nice surprise this morning.
Just saw Lacey perform at University of Rochester. This guy fucking killed it at one of the most liberal universities in the country (NOT an easy thing to do). Hype to see he’s going places!!
Damn, I never saw this advertised, that's a huge bummer!
So glad he branched out on his own!
He didn't have a choice. When Schaub done and has no further use for you you're out.
Thanks for the free entertainment Ryan. You really are out there doing good work and helping folks.
I can't wait to watch!!! I've been asking for this one 🖤🖤🖤
Love the Honeydew so much I listen on Spotify and like on CZcams for the support
This was an amazing watch.
Love this guy. Was really glad he got on fighter and the kid for a minute.
One of my favorite people in the world!! Love listening to both of you so much. A conversation with either one of you, but especially with BOTH of you, is like a warm hug from a kind friend. 💜 Thank you both for being so amazing!
Love my Shapel Lacey ❤❤❤
The honeydew should be getting millions of view this is just another classic!
Great convo thanks for sharing Shapel.
Old cats crew. Doing nice. Good stuff.
Loved this episode and Shapel’s sweet nature! It’s so nice to see men talking openly about trauma and healing from it…all while making dark jokes, of course. Nothing but love for this podcast. ♥️
Rockin a Turnstile shirt hell yeah
What a humble man. Great podcast
Chapel Lacey Ryan Sickler Damn guys. Wow! Thank you
You are my favorite Basset hound! This was an excellent show. Shapel is very enjoyable to listen to and was probably a golden retriever in his past life. ❤Thanks, guys!
I'm definitely a new Shapel Lacey fan now
Love Shapel! He is the best. LoveIsTight 💜

Thank you Shapel for sharing your story, you helped me today. Thank you.
As Winston Churchill once said “success is not final, failure is not fatal; it’s the courage to continue that counts”.
Thanks for another great episode!

Black as hell Shapel!!!! Doing the damn thing, what a guy.
i love love love everything he said about giving back. it really does help heal yourself, if you help others.
What a great epp! I miss Shapel and wish he would bring his podcast back or make some more guest appearances on other pods.
These are two really, really good people.
Shapel is the flipping version of blind side minus the nfl 😂
