O
"He was part of the Rhythm that GOT me!" Holy crap lolololol underated quip of the year
Bret earned a new fan with this one, Sickler really has a way of getting comics to open up and this was pure podcast gold 🎢
Your brother was a back up dancer for Gloria Estefan?! He was part of the rhythm that got me?! Ahhhhhhhh hahahahahahahahahaha... Sickler is the best!!!! 😂😂😂😂
From a Scillian hillbilly whose dad n grandfather committed suicide, n did EVERYTHING I COULD to make sure it wasn't passed to my daughter. Ur an inspiration, keep ur head up, n keep telling ur story man. WEST BY GOD!!!
this episode had me crying and laughing. bret has a powerful story.
Read this comment and then downloaded for a long drive to listen. Thanks bud @gerardo
Ryan Sickler I’ve never heard of you until Bret came on your show. Glad I saw it, you’re awesome 😎 I’m definitely subscribing to your channel
Everything he has touched is GOOOOLD
Shannon Roland ^i second that uhh-hundred %. @januarykeaton you should check out his first podcast with Jay Larson THE CRABFEAST it’s amazing, I still think it’s the most consistently funny podcast I’ve listened to, with great stories from great story tellers, every episode is pure gold. I’ve listened thru the whole catalog 3 times and have relistened to my favorite ones many more times than that. It is audio only but it’s still well worth the listen,
@@johnbriggs5751 agreed. I miss that chemistry so much. Larson is also amazing but ole JUCO will always have my ❤
Never heard of Bret before. Huge fan now. He’s a real dude, gonna check all his shit out. Thanks for putting me on Ryan!
“Yo what you doing he’s a doctor “ lol that line made me cry in laughter lol
Holy shit I had to stop welding cause I was laughing so hard , what a wonderful episode
What’s your favorite type of welding?
Aaron Guisinger I enjoy tig welding . So it was definitely hard to keep a steady hand while I was laughing 😂
im really high and this just dropped, wish me luck.
Luck I wish
Did you cry? I did
Cheers
did u make it bro?
im about to go in...😉😁
Joaquin Phoenix's Italian cousin...
Joaquin Focaccia
That Sound Machine line made me laugh and cry at the same time 😂
SUCH AN AWESOME COMIC!!!!!!!!! Loved the sit-down between these two. I'm so glad that Ryan interviewed him!! Why isn't this guy playing 10,000 seaters!!?? Bret, keep on keepin' on, you're one of the funniest men alive!
Really enjoyed this from start to finish. I already liked him from seeing the Cobra Kai series recently, but this podcast just made me dig him alot more. Didn't know he was a comic, but now I will definitely go see him perform if given the chance.
Laughing and crying. This is one of those perfect Honeydews!
Bret's "This is not happening" is one of the best. Babysitter brawl
this conversation was AMAZING. what a life story, reminds me of growing up in NYC as a kid
One thing I have to say about this podcast... I first learned about Sickler through Segura. There are times that I'll see the HoneyDew released a new episode and I won't click because I don't recognize the guest.... just being honest. But whenever I do watch, I never regret it. So I'm going to go forward just trusting Sickler will bring on funny and genuine guests., regardless of name recognition.
Anyone notice he changed his shirt?? Lmao I'm high af and thought I seen a Lakers shirt. 😂😂
This made me laugh and cry at different parts. F. I am glad I’m subscribed to this podcast and get to learn about people and different lives, good and bad sides of it. Ty Mr. Sickler. ❤️
One of the best episodes yet! ❤️ Thank you
I had to smoke an eighth of bud and drink two beers to get through this episode without crying - thanks for introducing me to Bret! Love you Ryan! 💛
This represents the Honey Dew perfectly. Excellent episode
one of the most Genuine Warmest Chillest vibes on a pod. Love Ryans crew of m8s. All good people😎❤🍻
one of the best guest. There is a lot more to explore with Bret.
Easily 2 of the most underrated comics in the industry, together on the same podcast.... I fucking love Bret's comedy.
I love what Bret said..he said take the pain , respect that pain...so right about that, great episode..love from Dc/west Bmore ..
Love the realness of the honeydew

Had to pause it and check out the roller skate bit. Pretty funny
I absolutely love Ryan’s laugh 😂 it’s infectious
Dawg, old bay seasoning is literally the only American spice and effing rules!
What about Everglades seasoning? Great & American.
The hilarious Bret Ernst came on The Honeydew? I love it.
Bret is so genuinely honest and funny. Thanks for sharing your story man.
This is one of the best other than Joey you could have done another hour easy, its definitely going into my saved category...love you Ryan 😍

Definitely grabbing a hoodie cause it’s getting chilly in this side Ryan ...still gotta love me some honeydew ...love from DC/west Bmore...
This guy from Cobra Kai
One of the best Honeydews of all time.
I’m 30 and as a kid we were constantly outside playing sports riding bikes whatever. I never see that anymore. The neighborhood would watch us all together.
What a podcast...thank you😔
This is the first time I've come across young Bret, & I'm thoroughly impressed- if only more folks could take a background that involved a religious element in those raising them & integrate/honour that by simply trying to be a decent human like this, rather than getting caught up in man-made dogma of any given branch of a religion, the world would be a better place.
I'm also guessing with this kind of back story that involved keen observation as a necessity, that he's going to be hilarious when I check out his stuff tomorrow when I have some time. Cheers Ryan for having him on.... I've a feeling I'm going to be adding a name to my favourites list! :)
Great podcast! Really emotional and funny at the same time.
Great guest. Love to see him return
One of the best podcast I've ever seen.
No one ever brings up Uncle Joey with a negative comment. SOLID
Hey great episode y’all! I had never heard of Bret until COVID and I got locked into Cobra Kai then I found his TINH sets and I’m hooked, Bret keep up the funny work I love it. Ryan keep doin the Dew it gives us a crazy look into amazing people’s lives.
Any chance of something like a highlight (or rather lowlight) reel of some the the patreon shows? Would love to see some clips! 💛
damnit i had a dallas cowboys theme pager....I thought I'd head Ernst a lot but never knew about his brother or I forgot...
Great episode! Laughed and cried.x
Bret was amazing! Love the laugh and snort 😂
Hell yes! Been pulling for Bret since the studio Jean's days. Theres no way this wont be great.
my favorite part was the ads
Need to have him have back, great story!!
Alotta pain in this man's past... I heard it in his throat clears.
Be mindful about how you throw out your garbage. I always look in the trash and when you find a half a sandwich without a bite taken out in a container that's still cold, it's gold.
Uncle Sickler coming in clutch baby.
Ok! He definitely needs to come back and stay longer!!
Love the podcast! Keep doing you.
I'm halfway through and can already tell this episode is too short 😭
I can relate to remembering I won four races in Mariokart out of ten to a 10 year old lol
Bret is sad @43:30 Ryan missed his fist pump
When are you going to finish the Joey Coco Diaz life story❓
Joey moved back to Jersey. I'm sure it's a much more difficult process to get that done now.
Watch his testicle testaments!
@Dave C. audio quality is sketchy with zoom... Even with a stable connection. I'm sure they'll finish it though.
Dave C. i feel like zoom just isn’t as meaningful especially since every other one has been in person 😭
he aint dead. the story lives on
Fuck, this is a tear jerker
bro we need to blow this show up. why dont daddy ryan have more views
Bret is way underrated
This is a great episode! Hilarious
He sounds like Artie Lange
It's kind of funny that this was recorded before Cobra Kai blew up. Next year Bret is going to be too famous for the Honeydew 😉
Im late to the party this guy is a treasure, thanks Tom Segura for turning me on to this kid

Yo sicklecell hope your doin well, keep pimpin, pimpin
