- Gravel Review - Gravel off road racing game for Play Station 4 XboxOne and PC is put under the gamer muscle microscope. In this video we look at whats good and whats bad about the game and what sort of player will enjoy playing it.

Really nice Arcade / Semi realistic handling
Really nice FFB with the T300
Nice easy to use UI and interface
Quick load times
Nice grass and mud and snow textures
Fun well designed AI
Fun to Drive with both wheel and gamepad
Different cars have really nice differences in handling
-BAD
Low frame rate on non pro PS4 or PC with some stages
Multiplayer was dead when we played it
Stages Feel a bit bland and repetitive after 4 hours of play
Bland single player story/progress
No split screen mode ( which would have been amazing)

Really good game to pick up for £15-£20, Multiplayer I think could be really fun with friends . In my opinion not worth RRP of £45 but its not "bad".

I’ve played this game for a week now and i must say it’s very fun, locations are incredible and there are loads of cars you can choose. Physics are really good for an arcade game. I’ve bought it for low price and I’m really happy with purchase!
What I really love about this game is the immersion that the atmosphere brings. The stadium tracks are filled with activity, with the crowd cheering, pyrotechnics all around and even the camera cranes tracking your progress. It's a great experience and feels kinda like a less violent version of Motorstorm, with sponsors, licensed vehicles and all that stuff. It's a great companion to Baja: Edge of Control HD (another overlooked gem)
Harsh, gm, a lil' harsh about the game. Remember 40 years ago when you were just a 12 year old small lad, full of dreams and hopes, you would have loved this game, it is an arcade not a sim, price will fall soon. My 12 year old self would have eaten a garbage bin just to have an opportunity to play such a great title. Fun review though.

I would've bought it if it had split screen, it looks good fun. I've been looking for a good arcade racing game I can play with the wee man. Nothing has split screen these days!

Good review, finally picked this up for £30 (Which should have been the day1 price) I agree its very sort of early ps3 feeling, but the lack of split screen is a major downer.
Big up for mentioning Split Second :) I love that game, played the heck out of it online. The epitome of the perfect arcade racer.

Tried demo... was enjoyable for what it is... but not full price. Was interested to see “speed cross” features 6 WorldRX locations from 2018 season (and 2 other WorldRX locations previously used)... is this hint for SLRE2?
If its only you and a friend online is their the option for the both of you to race against the AI/Bots? Or can you only race against the other racer?

It looks interesting but I've been disappointed with Milestone games time and time again - for someone who hates the handling in Sebastien Loeb Rallye Evo and their efforts at the WRC franchise is this a game to avoid or does no longer have the same basic feel to all their previous rally titles?
honestly the game is good fun. I was worried because it's Milestone, but it's much more polished than their previous games. And the track design is really fun
Mr. Kebab finally found the PS4 demo available for it and I was a little disappointed - not as bad as their WRC/SBK/MotoGP games but I still wouldn’t pay the full launch price for it, I’d rather wait until its on sale. If codemasters did something like this I’m sure it would have the kind of physics I like. But even then I’d prefer them to be concentrating their efforts on a proper successor to Dirt Rally

I think wrc7 is better then dirt 4 in rally. But dirt 4 does it good for the other game modes but to me these graphics look better then dirt 4. So it’s a tough call this game or dirt 4. For all other modes.

SingleRacer I only stream to sap people of brain cells.
I find the driving a bit bland. It should be more fun to throw the cars around the corners and do big slides in the mud, but instead they just lose a lot of speed while the other cars pass you on the inside, and there's not even deformable terrain like in Sega Rally. Some cars like the old Alpine are better but that's generally what I've found. The stadium races are the worst: going slow in a big dumb jeep would be fine if there was a lot of destruction, but you can't even wreck your rivals, so what's the point?

It's a game that can be played for a bit and then put down its fun and will be a lot better when the online side of things are working right I would say wait till it drops to around 25 to 30 pound be for getting it not a 50 pound game

Technically capable or not, and it definitely is possible on a good gaming PC, they'll never add split-screen. Want to play with a friend then buy 2 copies and play online in some kind of party mode I guess. How enjoyable and future proof (no servers required) such a title would be if they added split-screen. Agree that this does sound perfect for split-screen and I have a PC that could run it. Instead I'd need to buy another copy to play it with my son...
It's strange, some Milestone games do have splitscreen on the PC version. I suppose this one doesn't have it, even on consoles.

Picked it up for 23 euro on steam key site worth that at least..getting my moneys worth...multiplayer played one server with two people ping was high so ended up getting kicked after two races.
45 quid??? picked up the deluxe edition (whoo hoo lol) for $18 US on steam the base game is equiv of 11 quid, guessing they made an mistake lol.

As per norm with racers they cut out content to sell later, I give it a 6 now. Fucking hate when devs do this. I like this better than dirt 4!

Meh!, this game looks below average for me. It ok but I would get bored of it in a hurry. I thought about getting it when I first saw it until I saw the trailer. I’m waiting for Dakar 18. That games trailer looks cool and I hope it has a full race stage and vehicles that you can tune if you need to

Yeah... that's because the Xbox is shit...
Turbo Chook it has nothing to do with the Xbox capabilities forza runs smooth on the original Xbox even better on the S and I havnt tried the one x yet, the issue is the game itself fortunately for me I skipped this tittle after seeing people on standard Xbox one and ps4 having issues even some PC players have reported issues but like I said I skipped it luckily
Shockingly bad racing game. Its more like a ps2 game, I paid £3 for it on sale and glad I didn't pay a penny more. If you want an amazing racer then purchase wreckfest, which is hands down the best
The demo was one of the worst racing game demo's of recent memory. honestly (at least with controller) The physics are TERRIBLE and not fun in no way do you feel part of the experience control's wise, i'ts like steering a boat, I cant imagine anyone enjoying the handling over any other game currently available - but hey take what I day with a grain of salt.
