    Thank you! This is the best! It truly shows what is necessary to give me the confidence to do this hike!

    When clipping into a via ferrata, The gates for your carabiners should face opposite directions. This reduces the chances of accidentally disconnecting both of them at the same time.

    Those heights are a tad unnerving! Great footage!

    I am always looking for the three things, scenery, a good (appropriate) workout and the history. This place has it all.
    I could hike following the lady with the blue hat for hours.

    Great video, enjoying your channel! We are headed to the area and looking for a good beginner via ferrata. Would you say this one is TOO easy? We don't have any real climbing experience (we did one guided via ferrata in New Zealand that was very easy) but are in good hiking shape. Don't love heights but don't freak out with them. Just wondering if you'd say this has at least a little "spice"/exposure or if most people around were just treating it as a regular hike.

      There were definitely some people doing it without any protective gear, the via ferrata section can be done without a harness if you aren’t afraid of heights.
      But I would recommend this trail anyway simply because it was so enjoyable. I would say a little spice was definitely there.

      @@trailtalestravel Thanks! Did you do any other via ferratas while you were there that you could compare it to?

      Unfortunately we didn’t have time for any others. I would recommend checking out Train To Summit, the channel has some videos on via ferrata in the dolomites:

    Been to the area but not up there yet - would be taking the cable car as not up to Via Ferrata ! (do MTB though !)

    Trenches are actually from WW1 and not WW2. They were part of the front line between Italy and Austro-Hungarian empire. WW2 wasn't fought in the Dolomites

    Is there a non-via ferrata way to go to the tunnels?

    • @trailtalestravel
      @trailtalestravel  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes, there are two options:
      1. If you look at the route we took in all trails (link in description) you can follow the route in reverse, following the eastern route to the summit.
      2. You can take the gondola to the top of the mountain and walk down through the tunnels.

      @@trailtalestravelI see, you guys did a loop, so the western route is the via ferrata and eastern way is the normal route?
