CPI (Marxist) West Bengal state secretary and politburo member, Mohammad Salim believes that the Left, in alliance with Congress, would secure 10-12 seats in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. In an exclusive interview with ThePrint, he said that the Left has revamped itself in response to the current political realities. Salim, who is contesting from Murshidabad Lok Sabha seat, emphasised the need for the media to stop creating perception based on the erstwhile understanding of the Left.
