Under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has adopted seven villages in total. The scheme tasked parliamentarians to develop adarsh grams (ideal villages) in their constituencies. Earlier this month, ThePrint visited four of these seven villages adopted by the PM. exactly, once you will solve the basic necessities problem they will demand a job, and then they will ask for more and more. This begging never stops.
It seems modiji allocated funds and did what he could do. But the govt officials are not interested in doing much work on their own till tehy gets a scold. Micro monitoring can't be done by modiji as he is PM. It is the other MLAs, gram panchayat memebers and govt officers who has to take care.
So in your opinion what should modi do ? Waste tax payers money stating mirco management cannot be done.

I don't know reason but what I see is, most of the poor people houses in north India doesn't have cement plastering on walls.. in south states even poor people who gets govt funds for house construction will get it properly plastered by putting some money from their savings or borrowing it.
No one can build complete house using 1.8 lacks and govt can't give full amount for complete construction.
South is richer.
May be they don't have well developed cement distribution network - brick and sand could be produced locally but cement is manufactured - not sure UP has those factories or not
@@srichilThe point is not why Southern States are doing well. UP gets Rs. 4 from Central govt. in return for every Rs. 1 it gives in taxes.
Whereas, for every Rs. 1, tamil nadu gets 30 paisa, kerala gets back 20 paisa, karnataka gets 13 paisa back.

The North states are close to Delhi, the bureaucracy is corrupt, and most of political "representation" come from North, West India, so the corruption and political "control" is more. They make them more deprived. South is different, less politicians in parliament, less population, just 5 states, and regional parties give basic services to people, and social system is different. Nice reporting! We should have a national day or a TV channel, to showcase progress in each of these villages. There should be means to donate under Section 80G, and them journalists should verify, if progress was done.

We need to appreciate Modi for this.. being a PM and working round the clock with world leaders and fighting all free distributing parties he has brought about change which is learning for all politicians. Most of the parameters are met from PM adopted villages. Once it's done the pradhans have to take over and keep maintenance upto date.
Better standards of governance lead to higher expectation from the beneficiaries. As someone from a city, I feel that we in city have problems that are quite similar to those of these villages. Based on this video, I would not like to pass a judgement on Na Mo, but on the local administration that has the onus of implementing government policies. Let's bear in mind that this is a part of the process from 'developing' to 'developed'.
Why, in the title, "transformed" is under quotes? Did you expect heaven? Is it really possible that any system, particularly with what existed 10 years back, that a "complete transformation" is possible? When will you media learn to present facts as they are, without coloring it with your opinion, or twisting it according to their liking?

This is why I love centralisation.... Panchayats are fu**ed up and just money gulping structures.
On paper our village in Manipur recieved tap water through Jal Jeevan Mission. But in reality not a tap can be seen in the village.

We have all these facilities even though our village is not adoped. How can then this called be development. A development of a village is when the village is able to generate its own revenue to meet their own development expenses. So what is Modi doing to make these villages athmanirbar? What is the job opportunities that the government is doing, how is the inflation being curbed, how are the farmers lives being improved so that they can be financially independent and improve their credibility with financial institutions.

@@sankalp6872The ground reality is dire for homes in UP under PM-AYU or PM Awas yojana. You have to give min 30,000 under the table. Many houses are incomplete, & 2.4 lakh houses never built. Many built houses are dark with a small window. To make matters worse, there is a severe lack of basics like no water connection & no toilets, making the conditions unlivable. Some people are taking 50,000 loans just to dig a well.

What exactly is your expectation? Why the focus on unfinished things at the beginning of the video? When there's 80-90% improvement, you highlight the 10-20% deficiency first and make some deprecating, negative comments. Then, you start listing all the good stuff done. Don't you realise that, even under the efficient, honest Modi, there's corruption, apathy and dishonesty at the root level. That'll take much more time, right?
