- Kim and Aggie visit Newcastle to oversee a verbal sparring contest between a father and his daughter. The pair are constantly locked in a battle over who should do the cleaning, resulting in nothing getting done.
Can’t believe it was 20 years ago when these were aired. I loved this show, there was nothing like it at that time.

I have mild OCD so I felt itchy just looking at the carpet covered in dog hair and seeing the kitchen.

Yikes! The daughter is a nurse! She needed to review her microbiology books! Her surrounding were a breeding ground, a petrie dish.
The problem was a war of will between the two, how would cave in first to clean the space. Both were responsable.
It might be the first time I see hope for these people. But the daughter has to expect that is she lives many more years (20) with her dad, he won't be able to do as much, she will have to take a bigger load.

@@frothe42So do I but it is difficult to keep a bathroom carpet clean though due to the bathroom being a wet place, you could probably steam mop and vaccum the carpet but I find it must be a nightmare to keep a bathroom with a carpet in clean.

Exactly.. I used to work twelve hour shifts and still had time to clean my house .No excuses .

It’s so sad that we don’t see the poor mental state these people have been in. You can tell how a fresh start just really boosted the dads morale, he seemed so happy afterwards. Sometimes it takes a bit of help for a new beginning

A lot of people have carpet in bathrooms because it's warmer underfoot in our cold climate ..I don't because it's not very hygienic.

I get the sense that he thought that she should be doing the cleaning because she's a woman so he wasn't doing anything and because he wasn't doing anything, she refused to do anything out of protest which is why she made a point of cleaning just her room.
