      I hate how a person standing on his own two feet, no mental or physical illness or disability and having a big lazy ass to sit and only read newspaper can’t clean his own house and asks others to come clean it and shamelessly asks them to not use bleach.
      Even dogs clean the spot by wagging their tail before sitting. We are humans with head on our shoulders, why can’t we keep our living spaces clean and hygienic? 🤷‍♀️

    I have to laugh at this point (23 minutes in) so I don't cry! Jeremy is refusing to remove the dog droppings; using the excuse that it is his son's responsibility to do so & if it is done for him the boy will expect it to be done for him in future. Well, using his lame reasoning, the cleaners should stop the clean up & let Jeremy take on his responsibility to clean his own home, because he will expect others to do it each time it needs attention. Works both ways, Jeremy!

    If a dog is peeing like that, it needs to be taken to the vet. It could be issues with it urinary system and could be as serious as having problems with its kidneys. We found this to be true with our cocker spaniel. Cocker spaniels are a breed of dog that have been know to especially have problems with their kidneys and thyroids. Some of them do. Hoarding has a diagnosis (of a particular sort, there is a spectrum of hoarders) and some have depression or anxiety disorders that make it too hard for them to clean. I mean, no one normal gets a house this messy, it's not "laziness", there is always an underlying reason. The ones who actually need the help the most, that is, the help will not go to waste and get messy again instantly, is probably the ones diagnosed with depression or anxiety since they don't have the compulsion to keep getting more stuff like classic hoarders, they just got overwhelmed and then their depression/anxiety made them shut down so they can't face it and it piles up. A vicious cycle thing. If they get help, they're more likely to be able to "exit" the cycle-- the true hoarders may or may not, with therapy, but generally they often will just start buying more crap to bring into their house.

Holes in the ceiling, plaster falling, leaking through the roof, structure braces in the sitting room etc. That is deadly for a house that is 500 years old?! 16th century is the era of the 1500's, just think how long the structure has been there. If not kept up, old wood will rot, collapse, and fall in hurting or killing someone in the process. Some major repair work needs to be done, that is what is scary to me the most!

      I wouldn't necessarily assume that the dog is there all of the time. Probably not the worst idea to put him in a crate for the afternoon/day.

      @CAKerst Před 5 lety

      @@LB-ou8wt Still unacceptable to me. A dog should not be put into a cage like that. Would they have done the same if there was a 3 year old kid running around? It's inhumane. That cage does not have enough space, there is nothing warm in there... No.... I can't believe the show would even allow something like that, much less the owner.

      @@CAKerst my dogs get excited easily and one of them would flip his shit in that situation and be scared out of his mind so he goes into his small crate. He literally acts like hes tortured if we don't let him in it to calm down. Most dogs will run to small crowded spaces to hide when nervous and it is inhumane to force them out. You clearly don't understand how dogs work especially under certain circumstances, and as someone pointed out, toxic chemicals are abundant. My dogs get shut in different rooms when I bleach my bathroom so they don't get into anything. Your judging lack of knowledge and information shows you don't actually care about animals, if they don't act the way you think.

      Everyone who is having a go at the dog being in a crate... do some research, they absolutely love them when introduced properly and used correctly. They are not cruel or neglectful, depending on how they are used. It simulates a den and our dog loves his. He voluntarily goes in it during the day and we have the door secured open. He only gets shut in when we leave the house which is fairly rare but he goes in willingly. I literally say I’ve got to go out and he walks in, i don’t even have to point and give a command. He’s so calm when we come home, a vast difference from leaving him outside before we crate trained him, his anxiety would be in overdrive and he’d get into mischief even if it was only 5 minutes. He gets sad if I shut the door and he can’t get in. It’s quite funny.

  • @ace.fury.
    @ace.fury. Před rokem +1

    Vinnie is AWESOME. The house was absolutely filthy, but he accommodated and stayed the first night, even bringing his own food so he can eat and bathing outside. He met and compromised where he could, and he held Jeremy accountable for his actions. And I love how he tackles it from a point of safety, not just specifically hygiene. I wish more country home owners on this show understood that from the get-go when the cleaners come.
    Update, 36 minutes in: Not sure if someone picked up on this, but it appears that Jeremy is sexist. When talking to Lindsay about the cleaning, he is condescending, authoritative, brushes her off, and is unwilling to compromise. But when talking to Vinnie, he is much more calm, thoroughly explains, is willing to compromise, and even agrees with him. When Lindsay explains how uncomfortable she is, he takes no responsibility and makes excuses to get out of helping, but when Vinnie states his discomfort, it's immediately, "Okay lemme pitch in." That's not okay. Again, maybe it's that they have two different tones, but the fact that it seems like he prioritizes Vinnie over Lindsay, when both are trying to help save his home, is horrible.

      Sonam Jordanma I think you misunderstood. I'm not claming you preached religion. But you preaching about vegetarism is an ideology like religion. I just don't think this is the place. Just like you'd likely be annoyed by someone jumping into the comments trying to preach the Lord Jesus, most people feel that way about comments like this. Preachy, annoying, etc. Were you converted by someone on the internet? And the problem is, I can see everything you posted here and not have any interest in changing my life choices. I totally get that animals are not vegetables (really, I'm not a moron), and I realize that they'd rather not die. I just don't value that as much as you may and feel that killing an animal for sustenance is natural, normal, and fine and as long as it's done swiftly and they're kept as humanely as possible I have NO moral issues at all with eating an animal.

    I don't know how they can clean those filthy homes. The house is rotting down with mold, what are they going to do about that?

    Funny how they’re so concerned with the nonexistent dust in their houses but not huffing all those chemicals 24/7

    I paused between shows to clean my bathroom. I downsized to a small home, after my children grew up. It is so much simpler cleaning a small place. My bathroom was not really dirty, because twice a week I clean. If not really dirty, it is faster to clean. Especially since small now. More time for life. To clean obsessively would be odd...except for vacuuming. I do that at least 4 to 5 times a week, but I do not move furniture each time. I need a life, too. Lol.

    Vinny and Lynsey are CLEAN, precious, sweet people♥️...Jeremy was so fortunate to have their invaluable help. Jeremy did well by willfully getting rid of a lot of clutter in the end.
