I remember hearing about his a couple of years after I signed to play for Dr. Tom Davis at the University of Iowa. Dr. Tom is a great man! I never once sensed any bad vibe from this guy. I totally support him and love him dearly.... Go Hawks.

Had a friend that played basketball @ BC the previous year. He mentioned some of these guys to me...one story involving a fight that he won in practice with one of them. Tragic story really. What can you say about Henry Hill?
Well, a lot I suppose. This story never made into Good Fellas.
The story was not in the movie, but the real-life prosecutor was. Edward McDonald, who prosecuted the Boston College point-shaving scandal in the early 80's, played himself as the prosecutor near the end of the movie, telling Ray Liotta/Henry Hill and his wife that their only chance to survive was to turn state's evidence and go into the witness protection program.
@@patrickcolon8809 I've seen the movie close to a dozens of times so I remember that scene & Edward McDonald.
@@fasteddylove876 , there is a tiny brief mention of the point-shaving if you go about 1hr 45min into the movie right before Morris "Morrie" Kessler gets killed by Tommy in the car (where he puts the screwdriver in the back of his head), he says it so quick you could miss it.

Sweeney and Cobb were found not guilty. Not guilty does not equal innocent.
Cobb was my basketball coach in Arizona he talked about it frequently but I believe he's innocent

@@slundgr You expect him to snitch on a MAFIA ran racket at a time where they controlled many things and had MANY corrupt officers and god knows who else on its payroll? This was before RICO.
Even Stevie Wonder could have seen that this would sign a death warrant. So much money already dumped into the scheme by the Mafia that it all would have went POOF, along with what would have been the profits that they would have also counted as being taken from them.

Yep! The story of the scandal was told in a 30 for 30 doc, playing for the mob, and was narrated by the dude who played Henry, Ray Liotta!
@@matthewlo7868 If you read WISEGUY, the book that inspired Goodfellas, this goes into GREAT detail on how they did this, what took place etc etc. There are other great things in that book that wasn't in the film too.
