- It is a bold move to make a very near, and almost exact slingshot (a product that is made by Mark Bell's brand Slingshot), but someone has done it. It is listed as a very long title of Zerich Bench Press Slingshot Powerlifting Increase Strength Nylon Band Weightlifting Elbow Sleeves Fitness Gym Workout Elbow Support on Amazon.

Good video was interested in picking up a slingshot but they’re like $60+. I love mark bell but I think I’ll go the cheaper route lol

About to try them
I bought a similar one. Got XL size, which is didn't want, but that didn't change much. Works fine. I had actually bought the one you review in this video, but lost it somehow. Both work fine. I don't get why people warn against these knockoffs
I believe the warning is mostly due to the fact that it hurts the bottom line of Sling Shot as a brand. Competition is part of the process though, so some of this should be factored into their company's strategy.
manuekclear is the worst. the black 300lbs and over was TRASH.
Very interesting review. I first subbed way back when you were doinh reviews of the inexpensive Amazon equipment you used to outfit your garage. This kinda feels like familiar territory in a good way. It apparently does the job. Will be interested to see how well it holds up. Also interesting will be a follow-up on any potential fallout over their product gaining more exposure. Cool vid man 👍

@@samramirez894 10 months later and he has not replied. Safe to assume what has transpired. The stitching on the knockoff slingshot finally gave way while he was attempting a maximum effort bench press with the assistance of the slingy dingy. The weight, presumably 275, was far too much for him to handle in the form of straight weight with no assistance. He then dropped the bar on his neck, crushing his trachea, where he twitched and flailed about wildly underneath the bar for an agonizing 5 minutes before expiring, which must have felt like an eternity. Now, a child is without his LiftingDad. What can we learn from this? Don't be a cheap bastard. And if you are going to be a cheap bastard, at least make sure your spotter arms are set to the appropriate height. RIP, brah.
@@samramirez894 hey, I didn’t see this comment until now. I stopped benching a few months back to give my shoulder a rest (still doing push-up variations).
I had 0 issues with stitching up to that point.
@@ericcartmansstrengthandpow5960 I am apparently back from the dead. If 275 knocked me 6’ under I’d be upset if my personal strength dipped that much. Benching was my strength.
Thanks for this. About to order mine. My shoulders are banged up from a few years of lifting too heavy. Hopefully this can help me with my pushups and even get me back into bench pressing for a cheaper price.. I appreciate it!

@@killxswitch I actually ended up getting the official slingshot . It definitely takes pressure out of the bottom position . A little too much though for my liking; I feel like it takes all stress off of the muscle . I was actually thinking of buying this knock off version to see if it’s a little less strict .

How is it holding? what is your weight and height too? Just wanted to know for the sizing.
it's been holding up well, but I don't use it all that often as my training has shifted in the past few months. I am 5'8" and range between 170-180.
So this is comparable to the reactive sling shot and not the original sling shot.
What size did you end up getting..I'm around 120-120cm..
Cap'n Crunch it should be noted in the video but I got the 105-120
Even calling itself a "slingshot" might be actionable....I wonder if Mark Bell knows about it yet. Mine is zero....my best bench ever was 1 x 185. Nine is pretty good....For $14 its not bad

I’ve used it about once a week since the review and no frays or loose stitching. I’d say it’s holding up well.

Most knockoffs are from China and they could give 2 shits about copyright.
I ordered one from Amazon but not this brand . Same stock pictures though so leads me to think they change the name so they don't get sued lol
yes, a name change likely might help that lawsuit that seems inevitable.

@@devthegod298 so this one hasn’t been used in several months but I think with a surge in popularity (for my videos) I may revisit this one to give a new update.
It did hold up well for the time I used it which was several months.
