The point is that, for better or worse, we've come to consider The Daily Show to be a news show - for a lot of people, one of the few they trust. So when we see them seemingly trying to play Sanders down as unelectable like many of the other news sources, we get upset.

packr72 I have a different perspective. What I've seen from my close friends (who are, like me, young people) is not that they don't care, or that they are lazy. They just don't believe in the system anymore. They, and for a long time me as well, liked neither the democrats or the republicans, and weren't willing to vote for the lesser of two evils. That's Bernie Sanders' power - he got a totally disenchanted teenager to believe that we could change the system. I'm voting for him, and I think me friends will too.

Lot of people say they don't like the show? Well get in line, never going to satisfy everyone. If you don't like it why are you here stop watching the show. If ratings go way down then they will cancel the show. A lot of other people where asked and they said no. I personally think he's doing a good job. John Steward has moved on and going back to TDS would be a step back for him. He signed a deal with HBO to produce short films.
