The cheesiness of the intro makes me comfortable. That alone is therapeutic haha. Thanks sir.
You guys are simply THE BEST!! Thank you for helping people with your videos and recommendations. Your knowledge and expertise are appreciated.
I have had issues with my supraspinatus for 7 months. I have had physical therapy over several months, an MRI and the correct area was never identified or targeted for treatment. I finally started researching the cause of my pain and quickly identified the cause, This has helped me confirm my diagnosis. Thank you for what you do!
Did your shoulder recover?
Hi how are u feeling now? Glad u found the root cause!
You guys are awesome! Thanks for all the effort.
Another awesome stretch! Y'all make it too easy! I can feel the pressure release when i do the exercises! AWESOME! Thank you for what you do! May Yahweh bless you and your families!
You guys are GREAT ! Quick Story..I found you guys while on hold calling my doctor to make a shoulder appointment. After five minutes I hung up and started your therapy. My shoulder has improved ten fold treating myself. Thanks B&B !
Had a shoulder impingement since Sunday. Your videos have been greatly helpful.
I been following you guys since I tore my acl 4 or so years ago. You’ve helped me with this spot in my back. I still don’t know if it’s the trap this muscle or the infraspinus. But all you videos are a super help. I even turned my lady on y’all she has piriformis and some back problems and y’all have been a god send.
Excellent video gentlemen! I appreciate the time you took to make it! It's proven quite helpful for me as an archer!
This is most definitely me! I have referring pain down past my elbow sometimes. My orthopedist wouldn't even acknowledge it, have an answer for me, show me where these muscles are located!. Left me hanging with more questions! I've learned more from YOUR videos than my docs! Many thanks, happy new Year!
Thanks a lot for this (and other) videos Gentlemen ! I have exactly the pain you are describing so I am going to try these exercises. I can feel the massage working already. Thanks again :)
The intro is so good
Thanks so much! My screaming sore neck and shoulder is getting better! I also love my theracane
Hey guys! tnx for the awesome channel you have. I have fixed two of my problems watching your videos. I had a comment about this video of yours to improve the execution of the last exercise you mentioned. To make it easier to do, one can put a piece of paper or something under the palm of the hand (that is on the table) and slide the hand forward and backward on the table (using the belly muscles to push forward and back muscles to get back), instead of stepping back and forth with the whole body. In this way, the movement is smoother because of not taking steps, and also one can do the exercise easily even when seated on a chair, in front of a desk.
You guys are really good. I had this problem and now it is gone! Thank you very much
Congrats, it sucks like this, i have it
Great video. Thanks guys!
Thank you Bob and Brad!
This was great, thanks guys
Excellent video help me a lot thanks
Thank you for these videos
I love you guys! Thank you!
Great videos, very helpful. Very appreciative for this info, keep up the good work. Just one suggestion, it would be really helpful if you could put up a short list in the description of the therapies/exercises you guys recommend in the videos. just the names would be good enough
How r u now ? Did u tendinites go away?
The push down the table exercise (toward the end) just fixed my shoulder - pain substantially lower afterwards. Thanks guys !
Mine too
@@revinylcreative413 9 months later forgot I had this issue - do external rotations w band and band assisted pull-ups most days - keeps the shoulder healthy
Wow that last exercise is amazing! Literally 4 years of shoulder/arm pain gone after 1 week of doing that exercises a few times a day. I can’t thank you guys enough !!!
@@louisbioche133 But how does that work though if just by raising my arms my shoulders hurt? I'm very skeptical about the last exercise.
I think I hurt my shoulder trying to do pullups! Immediately went on rest, skipped training and found your video. It already helps!! Thank you so much!
Subscribed! Thank you
I was diagnosed with a shoulder impingement over a year ago and was in agony with it, I attended physiotherapy for 3 months but the pain remained, eventually I got a cortisone shot about 4 months ago and could, nt believe how fast the pain went away and so far so good as far as being rid of any pain goes.
I'll certainly give it a try. Thank you.
This helps a lot, thanks
Those exercises really helped me, thanks a lot
Glad to hear that, thanks for watching!
THANKS. LOVE YOU GUYS.
These videos are so clutch
Fantastic, thankyou.
If my shoulder doesn’t get better I’m either gonna cut my arm off or kms swear to god

Lmao, im a physiotherapy student and i just discovered i hade this
Update please! I’m a full year into my misery
@@homemprovmentguy yo! Been a while - my shoulder is alright except when it’s cold I get this nasty ache under my top trap
I feel this in my core... It's like they don't care about the level of pain and limitations associated with shoulder injuries 😔
Great very helpful!
This is a great video.
thank you...now I know what to do.
Thank you so much for this great video.. I rubbed the point you show and it responded positively I felt relieved at once.it really helps. Your instructions are so funny and lovely... thanks again for this very helpful video.
Great advice.
Thank you!!! ❤
Thanku bob and brad
This is working on my shoulder and I am so please about it . thank you
I had exactly the kind of referred pain in the rear/medial deltoid that you described. My PT (this morning) said, "Supraspinatus
!" Sure enough, when she massaged the supraspinatus, it was very irritated.
That table exercise is amazing.
These guys are great
I was able to massage the backside of my supraspinatus with a tennis ball before, rolling it up and down on the tennis ball against a wall, but I did not know you could massage the front side as well. It helped ease my pain a lot. Thanks a bunch.
Hi.
I would like to thank you guys! I have had major problem with my right shoulder for 6 years now.. My doctor told me that it was just something i had to live with..
After watching your videos on Supraspinatus tendonitis, biceps tendonitis and shoulder bursitis, and doing the shown exercises, my shoulder is much much better! The pain is allmost gone, and i can do some light exercises on the shoulders.
Again, thank you very much, for making my life a ton easier, by getting rid of my bad shoulder.
How are u doing now?
:)
Thanks B&B!
I tried the massage around my shoulder region and felt instant relief. Less throbbing after 30 seconds of deep tissue massaging. New Subscriber!!
can you please do a subscapularus tendonitis treatment video also?great video thanks +phsicaltherapyvideo
Great job and thank you, I recommend all my PT students to watch you guys as an example of patient education
I had pain in the shoulder/biceps/triceps area for about 2 months, with no improvement whatsoever by refraining from doing any activity as advised by the doctor, I started massaging the whole area with a tennis ball and with my fingers many times during the day.
Couldn't lift my arm above shoulder height without pain before, after 3 days of massaging with the ball, the pain and tendinitis has completely vanished.
To all people with tendinitis of any area, give massaging with a hard ball a try and see if there's any improvement.
I’ve been having this shoulder pain for a week now. Felt immediate relief after doing everything on this video. Thanks a bunch!!!
So glad we can help! :)
Let me thank you guys for this video! I've been living with supraspinatus tendonitis for the past six years and this has helped me a lot! Really, I can't thank you enough!
Cheers form Brazil.
dan soares lol..am too a flutist..and suffering from superspanatous tendonitis..
That's just awesome; now at least i know i can do something about it. It's been 5 weeks of pain. Thanks guys!
Did doing these exercises help alleviate your pain? I’m in the exact same boat as you were.
Are these exercises appropriate if I have 10 - 15 mm partial-thickness articulated surface insertional TEAR OF SUPRASPINATUS, 7mm from the biceps tendon? Many thanks, Muni
Thank you
The massage helped heaps!!! Do I just continue to do it until the pain is gone?
The table top exercise is amazing! Thank you for sharing!
I hurt my supraspinatus doing bench press a couple of weeks ago and your massage technique has just worked wonders! Thank you so much for what you do here and sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us!
Can you tell me what you did in details, i also injured myself doing bench press, but its not healing
Can you do workout now ?
Sometimes you don't know how uncomfortable something is until you're relieved of it
thank you for this i have a full thickness tear of the anterior supraspinatus tendon and these exercises tend to help a bit but i am going to have an ultrasound guided cortisone injection to see if that heals if not its surgery
Robert and Bradley we love you
Thank you SO MUCH! Your videos are most excellent!
I’m 31 years old. Had a large, symptomatic supraspinatus tear a few years ago. Regularly used transverse friction using a lacrosse ball along the muscles’s insertion point as well as hanging from a bar in different positions to successfully treat my injury.
Did u recover ?
@@vivianeraw8448 Sounds like he did because he said he successfully treated his injury.
@@vivianeraw8448He said “sucessfully.”
Love you guys! Go Vikes :)
Hello! guys thanx for your advice its very helpful, yesterday i started the massage for 5 minutes today i felt with pain i can tolerate just want to know if i can continiue with massage or stop.doing?
Thank you so much. Do you have insight why I still have inflammation after nearly 5 months? Not in therapy now or doing much to reinjure. I'm not diabetic. MRI I just got says Supraspinatus and subscapularis tendinosis and Partial tear of anterior labrum. Everything else is good. I'm 54 y.o. Woman who overdid it with gardening above my shoulder height over a week's time with pain and FS set in. Doc gave 2 cortisone shots and says to exercise! I've gotten better info from YOU than any physical therapist or doc I've seen so far, thanks. This massage I believe will help.
Thank you very much!
Brad os so disbalanced )) look at the shoulders during the 2nd exercise. 2 total different motions from both shoulders.
Thanks guys mwah :)
Hi Guys. Thank you for your useful videos. I am an osteopath and through using my hands and mainly my elbows I have developed Supraspinatus Tendonitis with referred pain mainly around the insertion of anterior deltoid on my right arm. The main aggravating movement is internal rotation of the flexed arm and especially abduction of the shoulder at that position. I am now treating the tendonitis by cross friction massage and acupuncture, and also the shoulder movement that you suggested. Would I be doing irreversible damage if I carry on working while I treat it? How long would you think it takes to recover fully with / without working? Many thanks in advance.
I’m thinking for self treatment I’ll go with dynamic cupping.
Did the massage and amazing. Superspanatus pain, 😮 gone.
just tore my supraspinatus.. I'll wait a couple of days and ice it and then try these treatments and exercise.. thank you :)
I have had issues with my supraspinatus for 7 months. I have had physical therapy over several months, an MRI and the correct area was never identified or targeted for treatment. I finally started researching the cause of my pain and quickly identified the cause, This has helped me confirm my diagnosis. The pain is troubling me more in the back of the of shoulder now with the same muscle. Will the exercises in this video still target this area of the muscle? Thank you for what you do!
I had a cortisone shot in my right shoulder today. . Had my left arm fixed from a complete tear repaired on the left shoulder ( a couple years ago). I want to know which video to watch to improve anything to help strengthen my muscles to keep from having another operation. I am scheduled for a complete knee replacement on May 9th of this year. I just had triple foot fusion on both feet also. I encourage you to tell anyone that has a standing job like I had. For forty years and I was overweight also. To find them a sit down job and also lose weight. I lost the weight, retired and now I get to do a bunch of operations so I can keep walking.
Thank you looks really helpful!!!
Have got comminuted minimally displaced avulsion fracture at attachment of supraspinatus tendon with adjacent marrow edema... Can you guide what exercise shall I do... It's been 40 days now... While trying the above two exercise m getting a bit of pinch in the shoulder.. though... Should I continue?
I have a Rotator-cuff partial tear.
The findings are Supraspinatous tendon shows signal intensity on oblique axial and oblique coronal with partial tear at it's insertion (articular fibers)
I’d lost a hell of a lot of movement in my right arm, after doing some research I found out what it was Supraspinatus tendinitis, I followed your massage and after 15 minutes my range of motion improved 100% thanks for sharing, I was unable to get to a doctors.
Is your shoulder better?
@@chucky2141 unfortunately not it seemed to improve quite a lot, then has just gotten worse over time, I’ve had an MRI scan to see what is causing the problem and am awaiting the results, but I also now have Frozen Shoulder my range of motion has decreased considerably, and the pain seems to get worse at night when I’m laying down
I have the same thing for months and finally saw a dr I got some cupping done and it has helped and I’m gaining more range of motion and finally feeling better but the most important thing is to rest and start strengthening after u have no pain and your range of motion back
@@cavealaska1 Hello, my supraspinatus is inflammed and I am interested to know more. Does it means if I understand your comment that this video didn't help your shoulder to heal (not to critic B&B, just for information)?
@@JCBPARISPARIS it help initially however until I got the MRI scan I did not know I also had a torn tendon in my shoulder as well, eventually due to guarding my movement I got a frozen shoulder, and had to have Hydrodilatation procedure done to free it it up
what is this? it is a miracle .. i hv tried once and gone omg thanks a lot
Oh god thank you.
Can we do table top exercise with both arms simultaneously to save time - I have calcium deposits on both shoulder tendons.
While tendonitis is inflammation of the tendon, tendonosis is a chronic condition, not associated with inflammation, but rather a deterioration of the collagen. How would the treatment of these differ?
Is using the vibrating massagers helpful for muscle pains?
Thank you guys so much for this helpful information. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with this condition in my left arm after repetitive weight lifting exercise. I used to train 5-6 days a week high intensity. I have not been in the gym for 3 weeks now and I am dying to get back in. I don't want to make my condition worse as the MRI revealed calcification in that area as well. I am not getting better with pain in my entire arm at times and refuse to take anti-inflammatory pills. I am vegan as well and consume large portions of fruits and vegetables daily to increase collagen production. Somehow I feel it's not enough and hopefully these exercises can at least make the pain go away.
Did these exercises help you? eager to know
whilst doing the last exercise is it recommended that we keep the arm absolutely straight while pushing down or is a little bend in the elbow recommended? also is the painful arc syndrome same as superaspinatus tendonitis ? Thanks and regards
can you explain anatomically why the 3rd one is good?
My pain goes down a bit to the side of my shoulder. So it's most likely a pinched supraspinatus tendon issue. Right now I'm doing some stretches like pecs, subscapularis and lats. Also I'm doing external rotations, internal rotations and straight arm raises with a bit of an angle for the supraspinatus. Doing all these every other day with 0.5 kg of weight in each hand. What I want to ask is, is it a mistake to do supraspinatus exercises if that's the tendon that I have issues with? Should I just be working on my teres and infraspinatus?
@bobandbrad, can you use a theragun for the massage?
Same treatments for calcific tendinitis? Cross friction really hurts.
Namaste from india,
I facing supraspinatus sprain level1, which one i have to do for better result. And do i have to apply any pack cold or heat before this exercise?
This is so helpful! That is exactly my problem! I thought the problem was my bicep. And its not! Awesome video
Guys great info. Can I suggest in future taking off your shirt so we viewers can see what spot you mean when we need to do a massage technique, as in the first exercise. With a shirt sleeve in the way it is hard to see where exactly you want us to put our fingers. I can't use one arm so what I do is place a lacrosse ball up against a wall at shoulder height, lean into the ball with the flat side of my shoulder and then roll back and forth on the ball. Works real good and you can save your fingers .
Do you have one for infraspinatus tendinitis
Thank you for these informative videos. One question: how can we tell we're on the insertion point for the supraspinatus and not the infraspinatus? I believe they're very close together.
Can you advise on a test I can do to isolate a severe pain I get when moving my shoulder inward with arm bent and putting pressure on it like washing my opposite side with a wash cloth . This started after I tore my bicep muscle and had surgery to reattach it to my forearm. I went through months of therapy and got my strength back but was having issues with my shoulder. The therapist would massage the biceps tendon in the front of the shoulder and thought it was tendonitis but I'm still having pain but only when I move it inward a certain way. My main concern is this happened after the injury and surgery as I never had this problem before. Is it possible this tendon was also injured at the same time? The Ortho Doc gave me a cortisone shot and basically said it wear and tear. I have full range of my shoulder. Any advise would be welcome
Question about the first treatment: isn't the painful area a little more back then where the red shirt guy massaged it? My painful area is more to the back of the shoulder. Do I have different problem or what is going on? Can anyone give any insight how it is for them?
I had alot of pain for 2 days in my scapula area. I was thinking it was the Suprascapular nerve.. the pain was in the supraspinatus and infraspinatus muscle. After two days the pain went to the front of the shoulder. Right around the front of the shoulder is extremely painful, close to the ac Joint but not the joint front part of shoulder And now I can hardly move my arm. Maybe 6 inches forward and maybe 6 inches lateral.
Would a pinched nerve cause this ??
Hi Bob and Brad, been diagnosed supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendinosis, rotator cuff muscle strain and adhesive capsulitis..can i apply these exercises in combination of rotator cuff exercises...? my doc even advised me to undergo asthroscopic surgery..is there any other option aside from surgery?
Do you ever recommend electronic stim for this type of condition?
Should I avoid these supraspinatus tendon exercises/massage if my supraspinatus was torn all the way through and the surgeon couldn't reattach it? 4 1/2 yrs after the injury it wouldn't stretch far enough. He said he "brought it forward and anchored it".
