  • Whole Latte Love presents the Expobar Office Pulser and the Expobar Office Control espresso machines.
    The Expobar Office Control espresso machine is truly in a league of its own. It is a fully automatic espresso machine that has four programmable buttons for dispensing any amount of water through your coffee with the push of a button. The commercial style boiler is made of copper and has all the controls that are found on the larger commercial machines. It can simultaneously brew and steam, allowing for extensive flexibility. This machine is sensational for those who love to entertain, or even just for the executive who does not want to visit the drip coffee machine down the hall. It has both a steam wand and hot water dispensing wand that are mounted on ball joints so that they can swing in any direction. Its size makes it convenient for those who don't want to give up a large amount of counter space. It is 15.5" tall, 9.5" wide and 16.5" deep. The group head is comparable to the renowned E61 group head with pre-infusion and thermal siphon for maximum temperature stability and aroma extraction. The stainless steel housing is as beautiful as it is durable.

    Thanks for the video and adding that both units have beat exchange. One question I have about each is what kind of volume can these machines handle? Would they be able to make 6 cups in a row without dropping pressure? Any ideas would help. Thanks!

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  Před 8 lety

      Answer depends on some variables like are we talking 6 espresso or 6 big lattes? How long in between each. In most cases the machines will recover in the time it takes to grind and tamp the next shots. One potential issue is overheating the group when pulling shots rapidly back to back. May need to adjust flushing time before extraction to compensate a bit.

    Hello,
    I just got the expobar control and love it. However, I would like to change the steam wand to a curved one. Which one would work with this machine?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  Před 7 lety

      Hi AG, Not sure there is a curved wand assembly that will work on the Expobar Control. I forwarded your question to our Tech Support staff and will let you know if they have a solution.

    hi, with any of these can you steam the milk and get the espresso at the same time ?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  Před 7 lety +2

      Hi Eduardo, Thanks for the question. Yes, all of these Expobar machine can brew espresso and steam milk at that same time. They use heat-exchange boilers which allow for that functionailty.

    I have just descaled my Office Control after a long period of it being in storage. Everything works fine - it heats up, pressure is built up, steam wand works, I can brew a shot, everything makes all the right noises.... EXCEPT nothing happens when I turn the hot water tap on, nothing at all, no drips no steam, nothing. I unscrewed the end nozzle bit and it is clean. I cleaned up the nozzle with a small brush (nozzle can't be removed so I can't soak it as the wiki suggested?) I've looked in the manual and the support wiki but there's only suggestions for when other actions (eg. no steam or no pressure) also exist so I'm not sure they relate to whatever my issue is. I'd be grateful for any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)

      @Wholelattelovepage  Před 7 lety

      Hi AT, Sorry to hear you are having this problem. Since this issue began after descaling I suspect some scale may have entered the plumbing for hot water dispensing. Another possibility: the valve for hot water may not be opening. This may be more likely than the scale blockage as I suspect some drips at least even with a scale blockage when the knob is turned. If the machine is making steam as it normally would it should dispense hot water (it's the steam pressure in the boiler which pushes out the hot water) unless there is a blockage or the valve is not opening when the knob is turned. With a long period of storage, blockage or stuck valve not out of the question. Did water come out of the hot water dispensing circuit when you descaled?

    hi
    will any of this machine be suitable for small train station coffee shop?
    where need to make very quick coffee and they do under 50 Coffee a day. help will be much appreciated.
    thanks

      @Wholelattelovepage  Před 7 lety

      50 a day might be a stretch on the Expobar Office machines. You'd be better off with an Expobar Brewtus which is a dual boiler machine. Would suggest the plumbed version of machine with rotary pump. Here's a link: www.wholelattelove.com/products/expobar-brewtus-iv-r-with-rotary-pump

    Hi. I have the exact same machine, but when i try and make cappucino or espresso, it just looks like coffee. Not nearly as frothy and rich. Any ideas why?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  Před 8 lety

      Hi Frank, Not entirely sure if you mean the espresso your making is lacking crema or if you're having a tough time getting a good froth for your cappuccino so I'll cover both. Espresso starts with the coffee and then the grind size. So you want a good fresh whole bean coffee intended for making espresso and you want to grind it right before pulling a shot. For a double shot basket you want 16-18 grams of coffee ground to a size resembling granulated sugar. But, that grind size is just a starting point. You'll adjust the grind size to produce about 2oz/60ml of espresso in 20-30 seconds from the first drip from the portafilter while keeping all other variables the same. This is a simplification as there are many other variables like brew water temperature, tamping pressure - just be consistent, cooling flush prior to pulling shots, etc.
      Here's a basic guide to making espresso: czcams.com/video/-QwOSK9lZcQ/video.html
      For frothing the big thing is having the wand tip at the proper position relative to the surface of the milk. Here's a video with some easy tips:czcams.com/video/i0Q6Tl-V_uc/video.html

    Hello, I have the office control and love! I recently noticed that the heating light turns off and on every 40 seconds and I'm not brewing or steam. Is this something I should be concerned about? It's only 2 years old. Thanks!

      @Wholelattelovepage  Před 7 lety

      Hi AG, Totally normal. The light comes on when the boiler is actually being heated.

    Hello, is it possible for you to put together a completer programming tutorial from start to finish, I followed your steps for programming the office control but after doing so the button I programmed would not dispense, it would not light up...

    Is this good for an island space cafe inside the mall?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi CDG, It could depending on how many cups/hr. I'd say it's capable of 15-20/hr. Do be aware it's not rated for commercial use - not NSF approved. For a lower cost Commercial rated NSF approved machine you might want to have a look at the Gaggia TS: www.wholelattelove.com/gaggia-ts-espresso-machine

      bruno galati Hi Bruno, Sorry to hear you're having problems. So you're getting just boiling water coming out of the steam wand? Does it happen every time you use it? When turning on the steam wand you will get some hot water at the start. After a few seconds it should go to all steam. If that is not the case let us know. Also, be sure to give the machine time to warm up. When you push the steam button you must wait for the machine to get up to steam temperature. Here's a video that goes through the complete steaming process on the Silvia: czcams.com/video/pjS8h5DSW3M/video.html
