This team ain't going to win anything, they were so ordinary for 75 minutes and it took Palace scoring to jumpstart Tottenham into action. There's simply not enough characters in this team with the tools needed to win a title.
It's becoming more obvious that the owners simply refuse to compete for trophies.

In terms of Financial Fair Play, Tottenham are incredibly well run. It’s a work in progress and, despite it not being great that they need to keep coming from behind, it does show character to keep doing it. But when it happens this often it’s not ideal.

    • @petergrekin4576

You’re really missing the point. Think about where Spurs were last season this time. Winning then League will always be. A great thing, but if you were expecting it this year then you weren’t really thinking it through. We’re not one of the top 3 team in the PL…not yet…and neither Ange nor the players would suggest in seriousness that we were. We might be the fourth best team. Might Be. Getting back into Europe via the Champions League has always been the reasonable, optimistic goal for this season. Anything was the fantasy of someone who doesn’t understand the game. How could you have possibly expected to win the League this year given where we were starting the season from.
This is a team to be proud of and excited by…for THIS YEAR’S accomplishments. Staying mired in your frustrations from past years helps no one…and (really your business, so take it for what it’s worth) is only going to keep miserable rather than allowing you to enjoy the beautiful game played beautifully….which is what we are getting more this season than in any season since Poch left.

I agree. The culture at Spurs of a negative, we are the greatest team in the World type fan coupled with management that have always sought to dodge the obvious and silver tongue their way out of the recurrence of negative, uninspiring, lacking creativity in the number 8 position to start with, and how many more lacklustre performance will occur, that quite frankly requires luck and some sort of divine intervention to reduce a Spurs win, will the average Spurs fan take. I can tell you, the rules of Stockholm Syndrome suggest it will be a very long time. Ange will probably look good for a while and move on when he too starts to come down with a far worse condition than a nervous tick in the shape of a cough, and that will be the reality of not getting anywhere in a culture that thrives on making excuses for a team, fans and a club that has no real ambition beyond the hope of getting into competitions knowing they won’t win and the money on merchandise will still keep rolling in from the uneducated, rent a fan. Because as sure as eggs are eggs, the club ain’t going if he can’t create a team that plays through the lines, with heart, pride and a can win, will win and hates losing attitude, the same attitude that exists at competitive, title winnings sides, of which Spurs are not and by the standards of the average game? Will never be. And all of that I said is because I am an optimist!

@@petergrekin4576 Oh really? how has financial fair play changed our chances of winning anything? 24 yrs and not one title.
If you bring in top quality you can win a title in one year. We have the money but the owners don't want to change their transfer policy. They simply refuse to pay 80 million for a top quality ready made player. I guarantee you it will be top four next season and the season after that. The owners simply don't want to compete. We act like Man City are not going to bring in four or five top quality players next season to further add to their squad.
This is why were always behind them. Liverpool will keep adding quality to their squad and they're in 1st place now.
Arsenal are doing it and now Aston Villa are doing it. And don't worry because Chelsea will get it right when they do, they'll be back ahead of us. You're being played by your owners and you don't even know it.
