Feel like I've seen this exact clip probably 25 times over the past few years. United's falloff post SAF is just crazy
utd have gone backwards
They were riding their luck under fergie and it was never going to last. They're a club operating in old times, broken and battered
👍
Only good manager since Ferguson was Mourinho
@@Honest115FCFan So why did fans rejoice when he left and start singing Ole's at the wheel?
Honestly, what the hell am I listening to?
United had like 20% possession and like 3 shots and we’re now talking like they played well?
I never seen the likes of it 😅
Compared to how they play normally, it was more organised which is a start. So, yeah
We did play well for over an hour till the ref got paid
Stop stat checking, football is way more than that. Rashford ruined 3-4 scoring opportunities. 2-0 the game is over. And he costed them the equalizer.
They defended well in the first half
They're 11 points behind Aston Villa.
Why on earth does Neville sound so confident that they can still get top 4?? It’s either spurs or Villa for that 4th spot
They’ve got tough games too albeit most are at home
Can they make Europa conference lol
@@andypandy4607 yeah and united manage to make every single game they play look tough
@@youngomz7205because they only need 5th spot this year .. he thinks 5th is still possible .. especially if villa beat spurs next week or its a draw
What game were they watching?? United were absolutely battered
This is what shocks me. I don't even want to imagine what these guys would call a performance like that under Mourinho but for ETH, they are acting like Man Utd had a good game and it's been like this whole season, they played poorly and somehow won games they had no business winning and these people sold it as "best performance" of the season
Biased trash commentary
ETH thought they were unlucky
Match could have been 5/6-1 easily
We did get battered... terrible performance... we was always going to lose playing like that! No quality on the ball... men against boys... was just a matter of time. Complete domenation Fairplay City
Last hour of the game 😂😂😂. Whole game only is an hour and a half
😂
Utd -2(GD) v reli-threatened Everton in 16th with -8; an Neville STILL thinks Utd got chance of top4 etc..
On that goal ratio, they'll be fortunate t finish 8th
He's said it how it was? What was wrong with it?
@@Milan-wc9teHe made it sound better than it was when in reality man city dominated for over 75% of the game.
Talking like it’s a 5 hour game 😅
ETH gameplan was great for the 1st 20mins its just a shame its a 90+ min game
Its sort of been like that all season. We'll have a good 20 mins or even a good half but we can't play decent for a whole match.
😂😂😂
Baldy sleeps well at night knowing he is limited tactically, can't adjust anything in game
What game plan?? Score a goal and sit back 😂😂
Tbf playing against one of the best teams in the world with a decimated squad, I don’t think there is a strategy other than hope and prey
Neville: "Manchester defended very compact today. OK, they were on the edge of there box most of the match." Haha! 🤣
It's the Man Utd way brother 😂😂😂
Exactly, no option but to be 😂
They were not compact defensively. City were playing through them centrally so easily
Exactly
The plan was to be compact defensively due to how good city sre
As a Newcastle fan, I agree with Roy highlighting the number of defeats in the league so far, 11 out of 27 - both the same (Man U have won 2 more than us) but then you would have to go down to Fulham at 12th (12), and Crystal Palace at 14th (13) to see clubs conceding more matches this season thus far. That's pretty unhealthy for Manchester United, no club suffering so many defeats could aspire to anywhere near the Champions League spot - Spurs and Villa at 6 each only just over half of the 11 by Man U, by the way.
It's the norm for you. Your average league finish from the last time you won the league is mid to lower.
United have lost as many games this season so far as city have in the last 3 seasons combined and theres still a quarter of the left season to play lol
The STATS from this game prove that Neville and Keane are absolutely clutching when describing United. The amount of shots they conceded and took is atrocious.
Luton had 24 against Utd, so did Fulham and so did West Ham. So to concede the same against the apparent best team ever shows they didn't do that badly
@@mancunioner Haha..that's your reasoning? weak and pitiful 😂😂😂😂
@@mancunioner Bro this is true but it's hilarious at the same time😂😂

@@leemcdermott7303 The United squad costs over a billion by the way AND they're also a billion in debt.

United shouldn’t be at this level with the money they spent, but they are and they were ok on Sunday.

i think United's decline sums up just how good real madrid are, they replace managers regularly yet still stay at a top level, man united should be the same yet have become a mid-table club
I think if an oil state bought Atletico Madrid you'd probably see the same thing play out in Madrid.
No comparison.
I can’t believe Avram glazer made a crucial error that let haaland score!
Spain has 2 teams
don't forget that united helped out real by giving them top money for their cast off's varane and casemiro
Same old conversation again and again. United just need to take 1 step back in order to go 2 steps forward. Sacking managers isn't gonna solve anything if the backroom staff is a complete mess. They're in a similar situation to chelsea but at least they're starting to slowly come out of it. It's gonna take them a long while to get back to their very best.
"but at least they're starting to slowly come out of it"
Are they lol
@@chy.0190Well Jim Ratcliffe has a 25% takeover so far which is progress if you ask me. When you look at Chelsea on the other hand, they're still stuck with Boehly, Eghbali and the others that ruined the club's roots.
Not the manager for United. He's the Graham Potter of Chelsea.
They now have the same amount of losses at Bournemouth with 11 losses. Bournemouth sit in 13th on the table.
@Jude_777
Yet Bournemouth only have 31 points while United have 44. If people are going to bring up the losses they also need to mention that United very rarely draw games. They either win or lose but very rarely draw.

Irony is Utd once slammed Liverpool for living in the past, Uncle Albert pundits now “during the war” 😆
Quite right Gary. MU plugged the gaps by lining up in their own penalty area,
It's crazy to sit here and say that Manchester United are actually a mid table team. They're literally only 6 points above 10th place. I never thought I'd see that in my lifetime!
They actually looked like a mid table team today as well. It was like a top prem team playing a championship side at points. They just have zero energy.
@stuart_edward
Hojlund, Martínez, Shaw, Mount, Wan Bissaka, Malacia, Maguire, and Martial are all out. They have “zero energy” because the squad has been decimated this year and they have virtually never had their strongest starting 11 all year long. Them and Newcastle have been very similar this year in that regard.
@Photosoflife you seen Liverpool's squad right now? Salah, Trent, Szoboszlai, Alisson, Thiago, Bajcetic, Robertson, Nunez, Tsimikas, Jota, Matip, Jones, Gravenberch... all injured or just came back last game. More starters missing than United, so can you explain to me why they don't have "zero energy"? Give yourself all the excuses in the world, mate, but it doesn't change the fact that the United squad is absolutely bang average, and as I said, have zero energy.
@@stuart_edward Most of the players Yanited have had over the years, all played much better for their national teams. Tells me its not player quality. It's managers who can't teach and inspire the overpaid players.
@@stuart_edward Just a quick comparison from the last game both teams played
Liverpools back 4. 1 player missing
Uniteds back 4. 2players missing

Uniteds vs Liverpool. Liveprool have like 1 player out because Endo and Szobo was on the bench and played last night which is what helped Liverpool win
Front line
Salah and Jota(nunez scored the winner)
Sancho, Martial, Hjolund
So Liverpool struggled against Forest and United struggled against City
After trying every style of manager and football under the sun in the last ten years, it is utter delusion to think that the manager is the issue or should be anywhere near the top of the list in terms of what needs addressing this summer.
When will Sky just stop talking about Utd . It’s actually Groundhog Day 🤦♂️

@@loxxovvoxxol2896they stopped being the biggest club about 10 years ago yet the media continues to talk them up. They are now a top 8 team that wins a cup occasionally, they’re miles behind the top teams, they won’t be knocking anyone of a perch anytime in the next few years. What you have to ask is when if ever will they win a title again? Many Utd fans I work with have actually started supporting their lower division local clubs now instead as they’re so disillusioned with the club. Sad times for a once top club 😢
it's been "what's next for manu" for thr last 10+ years and as a Liverpool fan i absolutely love watching it over and over again.
Rashford put on a historical performance today. Scoring a goal and simultaneously being the worst player on the pitch.
Rashford's goal was world class but he isnt consistent enough to be a threat. There was a few chances where united might have countered but Rashford lost control of the ball in the final 3rd. He does try too hard to take players on in some occasions and its probably frustration that his club isnt performing and all of the fans/media criticising them. United needs more players and a shake up, midfield is a shambles and the defenders dont look confident on the ball.
I feel like everytime micah wants to say something.. he just wanted to laugh 😅😂
Blame the recruitment team for the net spend!!!
No chance United finish above Villa or Spurs. Villa are 11 points ahead and Spurs 6 ahead with a game in hand. Villa are much better tactically and Spurs have a better first team than United. 6th is their cap - what this means for Ten Hag I don't know but they are just hanging on to be a Top 6 club now. It could be worse as they could be Chelsea.
'A lot of good things last season' - yes just the end results though, got 3rd in the league but really Newcastles performances were better and they were more like the 3rd best team. Plus Liverpool and Spurs had another off season. Fa Cup final and EFL cup win, yeh how many times you gonna get favourable home cup draws, mental it almost seemed fixed last season. There performances last season weren't really a real step up, like Roy said they lived on moments and most of those moments went their way. As a team theyre a bit like Rashford, sometimes have seasons of high end product but even then the performances aren't that great in terms of structure and work rate.
Micah mking captain Roy smile is always a pure joy to watch bruhhhh
am i blind! i didn't saw any progression under ten hag management
The Overlap really brought Roy out of his shell love to see it
We were outplayed, outclassed, humiliated, and beaten. The match stats say it all. Any manager who finds this a good match is certainly not the right fit for Manu.
The beginning of Man U's collapse, this game, was when Rashford decided to dive to draw a foul that the ref rightfully refused to give, so that City scored on the counterattack.
It was a pummeling for Man U after that.
We're 11 points behind Villa while we around 6 points behind Spurs who have a game in hand. The amount of chances we give the opposition per game is very concerning aswell. We aren't playing how we should be playing & while injuries have played a big role other clubs have suffered Injuries to key players yet they still have an identity a style of play. Even when we're winning games we aren't controlling games like we should be. I do generally fear for Ten Hag
People forget, matches can also be won with less possession and counter attacking espically when its a team like city. Why are people criticizing both of them?
We did have our chances first half but we failed to put them away another thing is that rashford can not play as a striker we need an emergency back up one and a lot of squad depth
Tactics were spot on but the lack of quality throughout the side was evident... especially in final 3rd... Ball control dreadful second touch a tackle. Problem is when I look at football I just do not see top quality footballers just athletes... Just look at Chelsea...so I have no idea where football is going... Manager did well... but they are years away from having a decent side as are many clubs. Rashford scored a great goal..yes, but offered little else..
Utd started ok & I was surprised they scored but you just knew city would score , ten hag should be given more time , I know it’s frustrating but the club needs stability , there has been so much he has had to deal with since arriving at the club , Ronaldo, sancho, rashford , greenwood , plus lots of things that we probably don’t know about , we need to keep him & get behind him!!
Could anyone comment on ETH’s decisions of substitution?
Simply put, we were well beaten and we're out of champs league contention. Really sad what's happening to my team.😢
So Neville is saying that we should buy into fear based tactics at Manchester United and that the manager bringing this is the right man to take us forward, obviously into us having the fear, rather than teams fearing us.
you could see they did not beleive they could win It was a mater ofl how few goals would we loose by
Praising them to Park the Bus...LOL
How many people had money on United? Thought so. The result which everyone expected, happened
It's sad that even the MU legends are talking about can they make the CL 4th position, MU should be competing for the league title every year not aiming for the 4th spot.

27% possession
305 passes
10 fouls

Man United are a gift that keeps on giving
Im a united man and we are lucky to be where we're in the league, and it's all down to the coaching and energy on the pitch and tactics, injuries and silly signings
So basically the whole thing is one big mess. The players are crap. The spirit is crap, the manager is crap. The owners are crap.
They have been awful for so long I am getting bored of listening to this drivel about Man Utd. They are a bang average team and have been for the last 10 years and I don’t see it changing
@rob8493 you see what's happening at united, we're are getting structure in place from the top to help the manager so he doesn't make mistakes and just get to spend 90 mill on a flop, or some clown, or someone with the wrong character, Anthony and his abuse cases and now his performances are well below his average, rashford and his pussy boots body language, maguire and his speedy brain, or casemero and his energy and speed after 1 season is gone, or resigning pogba etc, etc 🙈 united have a young striker and Bruno and mianoo and garnacho, bissaka, dalot, martinez, varane still has pace and Evans is decent, shaw aswell. We need players with energy and the right character and football brain to help the team, and less injuries, if you look at our team when all the players are fit, if we cleared out 4/5 in the summer and signed 3 or 4 we could be a different team with more energy and improvement all round the pitch, we just need to get rid of the 4/5 that don't have the legs or right character and passion to be at united and sign the right one's who do, but we don't even know if ten hag is staying and we are work in progress, but the 2 signings for upstairs jobs will be a plus surely, then hopefully get rid of the deadwood this summer in some way, and hopefully get a ucl spot for money and it's where we belong. I see city beating Liverpool next Sunday and hopefully we get hojland back and bissaka for the following Sunday and knock them out of the cup and villa and spurs slip up, we can't get any worse 🙈😅😆 it's been to many mistakes from fergie and chose moyes and he didn't listen to keep fergies backroom staff to help him at a club like united isn't like Everton 🙈 fergie left us in a mess and picked moyes then it's been like you says
Keane did an advert for United recently, Neville is getting involved with the stadium development, they’re not going to be as critical as they have previously been
UNITED WERE 20 SHOTS BEHIND CITY BY HALFTIME ALTHOUGH LEADING BY A SINGLE GOAL.
HOW COULD ANYBODY EXPECT A DIFFERENT OUTCOME THAN THIS ?
The simple truth is that changing the manager & expecting instant results out of the box is never going to happen. I am not thrilled with ten haag but to be fair last season was a pretty decent showing all things considered. So much drama as well with Ronaldo & Sancho and now the Rashford problems.... I would give him another season and then cash up, see where we are at.
Roy Keane's punditry is very reminiscent of Graeme Souness in the 90s when talking about Liverpool
LOL missing Johnny EVANS!!!
I love this United
They did. He was playing well. It's not hiding away from the fact that having him back is still shambolic
Gary's being very generous. It's hardly a ringing endorsement that we sat back for the majority of the game, put in our best defensive performance under ETH (according to Neville) and still lost 3-1. We had 27% possession and we're absolutely outclassed. If City didn't watch a few chances it would have been another battering. To see them praising a Stoke or Sean Dyche's Burnley type performance from United is bizarre. I'm also not sure why none of them addressed ETH's disastrous subs, which is a recurring problem.
It's groundhog day at this point. It remains to be seen how ruthless Ratcliffe and his hired guns can be and are allowed to be, because we are still multiple levels below the standard needed to be challenging for a league title any time soon.

Fulham game was definitely worse then today but we have no chance of top 5
they had these debates for almost 10 years now
the gaps will be back next week we say in today like we did vs Liverpool. ETH needs to keep this shape vs lesser teams and we will play further up the pitch in a structure naturally. instead of like whet Gary says been wide open vs so called lesser teams
Some debate
It's a real feat to oversee the level of decline the Glazers have in such a relatively short time. How you can spend this much money and progressively get worse will be the subject of postgraduate theses in the near future. It's really quite incredible
And why under ETH are there so many injuries, is it because of what he is doing?
Can’t believe Gary is saying “it’s a plan you can buy into”. Don’t know about anyone else but I wouldn’t want to see my team have a couple of attacks in the game and park the bus for the full 90.
We all know it means more money but what is the point off getting in the champions league next season if they perform like this year, just wasting plane tickets, and thats just for the home games.
2:55 is facts.
You need quality players to have an good structure
....OK, it was a good defensive / compactness display from United. But how many ponts are they gonna get if they play like that every week? Not many. And as soon as they stray from parking the bus, they look wide open (like vs Fulham last week)
while we had the first goal, the team discipline was impressive
"It must give you more confidence going forward with that performance today." Did Micah Richards really just say that?? Personally, I feel more depressed about United than I ever have in my entire life today.
At 1:13, what is Neville on about? They held Liverpool to a 0-0 at Anfield with a strong low block but conceded 3 at the Etihad 🤷♂️
They tried to repeat the Anfield performance but failed even after going a goal up. I’m not sure how Neville can applaud this performance in any aspect.
I thought they only talked about money when it’s Chelsea. It’s a miracle they mentioned it for united.
What performance?, attack 0.25xg 25% of ball 2 shots on goal and conceded 15 corners. ManC 3.33xg, 75% ball with 92% Passing and 27 shots. As a neutral, I was watching a different game to them
Roy is spot on! Opposing teams should have "moments" of equality against United, not the other way around.
I'm an Arsenal fan who is genuinely curious about what United fans think about the following 4 observations:
1. I actually don't think you're miles off City. Today's game reminds me of when we lost 3-1 to them last season (very similar actually - defensive blunder, Haaland last goal). It didn't take long for us to catch up avenge them. Do you agree you could do the same?
2. Are you disappointed in Amrabat? He was amazing in the World Cup and I thought he'd have much more impact in midfield - like Rice for Arsenal.
3. Why does Bruno Fernandez get so much stick from your own fans? He seems to have the most technical prowess of all your attackers, bar Huyland. What do you think?
4. Also Rashford. He went down so easily today. I've heard that is something he does too much, and doesn't work hard enough for his chances. Do you agree?
Seen a stat somewhere that the keeper had the majority of uniteds possession if that is true then that is crazy bad. That is how a league 2 team would set up against city. In no way should a team like united do that.
People forget even when fergie was at man utd, it took him 5 years to win a trophy and 9 years to win league
Different era ofc but managers now just dont get time
I'm a United fan myself but keep my feet on the ground. No chance at all for us to land on 4th at the end of the season. Hard to admit though.
Micha can bearly hide his laughter 😂😂
Ive said over and over again, young players will strive under ten hag as he knows how to make superstars but he can't handle those he didn't make that's the downfall,[im a city fan]
I find it incredulous to entertain the notion that it is acceptable for Man United to exhibit a lack of resolve against City simply because City holds a world-class status. Numerous teams, ostensibly inferior to United, have compelled City to exert considerable effort for points in their encounters.
It is worth noting that under Ole's leadership, United have previously demonstrated resilience against City, even securing victories. The outcome of this match can largely be attributed to United's subpar performance. City, in my opinion, didn't put up their best performance by theur standards.
United's shortcomings throughout the season ultimately caught up with them during the latter stages of the game. They struggle to effectively manage leads, their wide players exhibit reluctance to take on defenders individually, resorting to long balls due to ineffective buildup play against opposition presses, their confidence falters when conceding, and the manager's decisions appear erratic.
Acceptance.
They're just another team. Have been for a while, since the billionaire owners starting buying every surrounding club... but it might sink in one day.
ofc it will sink, pep is the key

Manchester United got sacrificed at the Etihad, lost 11 times in the premier league, and we are in March. Finished last in a champions league group which contained Copenhagen and Galatasaray. Knocked out of the League Cup by losing 0-3 to Newcastle Uniteds B team. 16 losses in all competitions by March. More losses at home than Chelsea for gods sake. How has Ten Hag not been sacked? Why has the board not faced more criticism? Why aren't the fans demanding better from the players?
They still conceded 3 goals in a derby 😅 saying the best defensive performance is wild
Love listening to the man u postmortem
