- Thanks so much for watching our latest video where Tori & Michael talks about all things grooming scissors!
They compare and talk about the differences between a chunker, a thinner and a blender as well as the best students michael would recommend for students and his own favourites!

You need closeups of the scissors. Can’t see them.
Thank you for your feedback :)
@@ChristiesDirect101 great caring info and it would be worth 100x more with closeups. Your sincerity shines Through! Thanks
Show up close and speak slower please.
Thank you for the video, very educational
Glad it was helpful! Keep an eye on our channel for more videos like this! :)
Thanks for the info. Do you recommend Thinners/Blenders/Chunker for a Westie head and skirt.
Very much enjoyed this video. Very informative. I would like to know how many teeth you would suggest for each of the three scissor types, blenders - clunkers - trimmers. Would be helpful. Thanks!
Would love a demo on trimming cocker ears - I just struggle with shaping them evenly - any tricks would be great! Thank you.
Make sure the under part of the ear is nice and shaven. Your comb is your best friend. Look past the hair. You want to trim the hair when the dogs ears are resting in their natural position (I do a lot of weird noses to get them to do that) you want to look past the hair in the front and look behind it. Look at the ear from every angle, the front, side and look behind. I usually see most of the hair I missed when I look behind. Comb, comb, comb!💕💕
Can you send link for the shears you uses
Agree.... should have edited in close ups. Poor job great topic.
Thanks for your feedback, we'll be sure to take this on board
What brands make good grooming scissors?
Why don’t you put the correct name in book or internet so we know which one we need to by.
i need chunk shears, but everytime i search they give me thin, blend and texture sheers. i want to chunk the ends of my hair cant find any info on notching/chunker shears
Hi, we have a full selection of chunker scissors here: christiesdirect.com/shop/scissors-accessories/scissors.html?scissor_type=1027
Which would you use for a imperial full coat
Hi Linda, we'd recommend using the thinners for an imperial full coat
@Christies Direct which one. I don't know which one. Being a pet owner I'm not needing what you use daily. Curved scissors right handed. I'm having problem learning the back of the leg under tail. I need a clipper .. learn how to do tail. Need more videos on shih tzu techniques with top knot.. paws. Chest.. scissor cutting..
I don't think I heard the word "wire" in the whole video, so what would I use to clean up a Cairn's face after stripping? I'm not trying to be a groomer and I clip where I can, so I only want 1 pair. Inches, brand, and type?
Hi! If you are hand stripping the face and just want to make the hair less chinky, then a pair of thinners would be best, just to remove some of the excess hair whilst making it look natural theres are a great quality for an affordable price: christiesdirect.com/groom-professional-allievo-thinner-scissor-range.html
Why don’t Sirius have a blending range
Anyone else see Michael on pooch perfect!
We loved seeing Michael do his thing on Pooch Perfect! Super proud of him :)
Yes I just watched him and wondered if it was him on this presentation 😁 poodles are his specialty going off the footage from pooch perfect
Can’t see the shears on close up, so can’t see the difference between the shears. You keep showing me things I cannot see in your video. Otherwise would be a good video. Thanks.
Sorry can't see the sissors properly you both are to far away
You guys speak too fast.. pls breathe so I can follow up 😅
