Yes Lisbon is Nice.
But after vacation please go back home.
I was born in Lisbon and it’s so beautiful to see other people experiencing it 🥰
I know that feeling 💕
Lisbon is a nice city, but is not the center of the world.
After spending vacation please go back home....

Great information. We're traveling to LIS next April, and we're solving the jet lag problem by getting there on Sea Dream Yacht Club's SeaDream II from Palm Beach, FL. We'll be spending six days there, so your information is perfect for us. Thanks.
Heading to Portugal in September so this was extremely helpful! Thanks!
Glad to hear that, happy travels!

Oh thank you so so much!
I'm from Lisbon. Great video 🤗🤗! Anothet tip , you can cross the river by boat, its cheap, fast 8minutes and beautifull, specially the sunset .the boat is at the " station cais do sodré " to Cacilhas, the neighborhood where the ponto final restaurant and other is
Lovely
Obrigado. Great video. We are heading to Portugal soon.
Obrigado! Hope this Lisbon video was helpful, please stay tuned for more Portugal travel videos 🇵🇹

@@NewYorkerJuhui Where did you live?
I am traveling soon from NYC and was looking for comprehensive list. This is well made video without any extra close up shots and added more details to every place one must go. Thanks a lot
Thanks so much, I’m glad to hear this video was helpful to plan your trip :)
Great overview. We just returned from 5 days in Lisbon and 6 days in Lagos. As a sailor, I really enjoyed the Mariners Museum in Belem. Portugal way exceeded our expectations. From there we went on Viking's Romantic Danube cruise that provided a relaxing finish to this post Covid Blow Out vaca. Total fun.
Ah I missed the Mariners Museum in Belem. I agree Portugal has so much to offer and it is a great travel destination for the “post Covid Blow Out vacay” 👍🏼
I am developing an itinerary and this was helpful. Thanks!
Glad to hear, happy travels!
So Happy to have found all your Portugal content! Will be on a 2 week road trip throughout the country end of the month. Great ideas!
2 week road trip in Portugal sounds amazing. So glad to hear you found these videos helpful. Have a great trip!
Thùy, 12th June at Lisbon it is the best day to feel the city and have fun
I had to cancel my 1st trip to Portugal last year, but I’ve done a lot of research. I really enjoyed how clear and streamlined your video was, while still being fun. You’re correct. No one has mentioned the stairs going to and from that restaurant! 😆😱 I’ll have to check out your other videos!
Thanks so much, I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed the video! I’m sorry to hear you had to cancel your 1st trip but as you mentioned, I think you’re gonna have a blast when you finally go to Portugal! And yes, there were a lot of stairs to take 😂
I’m very lucky that I can work remotely, and I’ve been contemplating doing a solo trip to Lisbon. This guide was so helpful! I’m super excited :)
I’m so glad to hear it was helpful! I bet Lisbon is a great city to work + travel and for a solo trip. Happy travels :)
언젠가 가고싶은 포르투갈!!! 잘봤어요! 모던하고 히스토릭하구 음식도 맛있어보이구 넘 좋네여😃
Comesamida ?
planning our 5 day trip in May => this was super helpful and so well-organized. Thanks so much!
I’m glad to hear that :) Have a great trip!!
We LOVED Lisbon, we spent nearly 2 months there and overall your guide is great. We had a local giving us the tours, but your idea of having a walking tour to go back visit alone is great! There's lots to see in Lisbon but it's not all as obvious as Belem.

I like that some of the places you posted were different from other Lisbon videos I've watched. In particular, the Maat Museum looks really cool.
Thanks Robbin, yeah Maat museum was fun!
OMG FINALLY! Someone with content about the actual destination and not wasted content on silliness THANK YOU!
Thank you for watching :)
this video was the best
Thanks so much :)
I am going to Lisbon in 2 months. It is one of the best videos I have watched about Lisbon. It's informative and filled with fun facts. Cheers to Lisbon. 🎉
Thank you so much, Farhan. Glad to hear you enjoyed this video. Happy travels to Lisbon!
Thank you for the info. It will be useful. We will travel to Portugal on 22nd of April
Glad to hear that. Have a great trip!
I enjoyed your video. My wife and I will be there for a few days and possibly extending. Your tips of what to do are tops!
Thank you, Rick! Glad to hear this video was helpful. Happy travels!
@@NewYorkerJuhui just came back...Lisbon totally rocks. going back again, unless one of your other videos inspire us to do otherwise.... thanks again.
Hello.
Very well edited and narrated video. Congrats´s on the pronunciation of Portuguese... Top notch.
Thank you for the video.
Thanks so much!
Heading there later this month. Great info. Awaiting patiently on Sintra video. What month were you there? Trying to figure clothing to pack.
Thank you! I was there in the late February, this year, and Lisbon was significantly warmer than New York already - it felt like spring.
Lisbon is beautiful. I absolutely love that city, it has so much to offer. It brought back some great memories. Thank you for sharing. New sub here. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Nice video 🤘 You know you can take the ferry from downtown to Cacilhas to get to Ponto Final? You could have avoided some stairs ... It's nice and cheap (you might even spot some 🐬). Baixa is pronounced Baicha 😉
I was in Lisbon last week, it is a great city to visit! 😀
I agree!
I am Portuguese, from the South of Portugal I lived in Lisbon from 1970 till 1985 ..Lisbon still got it's charm but I find every time I visit a bit more Cosmopolitan as a city..not Lisbon I lived in the 70s and eighties..
But thank you for your video and nice words about Portugal
after port wine I get more than a little tipsy :)))))) But excellent hint with the wine tasting location. Can't wait to try it out
Good
Thanks for your tips. I'll be there in Lisbon in August, 2022 for 7 days.
Happy travels!
Get a day to visit Cascais. You won't regret it.
portugal ist immer eine reise wert welcome to portugal❤😊
I loved Lisbon but I was only there for 3 days. Seen the main sites but yes the walking around was a lot of fun especially go uphill - however I'm used to that since I live in a very hilly area in the UK
I agree, the walkability makes Lisbon an even more charming city to visit!
Wonderful video! I looked for this because I'm going there this month (july) I wonder what month it was when you were there. I noticed rain and I'm currently starting my packing. Thank you for posting. It all looks very exciting.
Thank you, we went to Lisbon in February. It’s always a good idea to pack an ultralight rain jacket for sure! Hope you have a wonderful time in Lisbon, happy travels!
@NewYorkerJuhui I will, thanks for your reply!
Did y try the bitoque. Amazing, at the cais de sodre station.
Loved your video and helpful tips. We’ll be heading there in October and are looking forward to your upcoming videos. Thanks for the details! So many videos just walk and don’t talk.
Thanks so much, I'm glad that this video was helpful! October is a really good time to to visit warm Portugal 👍
No no no no no, No stairs to reach Ponto Final... You take the 10 min ferry from Lisbon Downtown (Cais do Sodré), and when you get out at Cacilhas pier, just turn right and follow for 300 meters along the beautiful river side (Cais do Ginjal piers), all 100% flat until you reach Ponto Final... Even wheel chairs can go there... You just used a car and aproached it from the inner hills of Almada wich are located on a top
I love your videos, You are calm and relaxed and I love how well you pronounce Portuguese words. So respectful and graceful of you to not Hispanicize names like Jose and Jorge for example, which I find a lot of CZcamsrs doing. In Portuguese the Js are pronounced and it’s so nice to hear you being aware of that and actually pronunciation them correctly. You’re a delight to watch . Thank you.
She’s sweet, but her Portuguese is a total miss.
This was a great travelogue ! Thank you , may I ask you to kindly share the background music.
Thank you for your commnet! Sure, I get music from Artlist. It's a subscription-based music store, and you get unlimited royalty-free music. They add new music frequently as well. Here's my referral link, if you're interested in looking further into it! artlist.io/New-1626444
Loved your video on Lisbon. We are travelling there in February 2023 and want to make sure we stay in a safe and convenient location. What area of Lisbon did you stay in? Were you happy with that area? I’ve heard that there is an area in Alfama that may be unsafe at night. Do you have any insight into that area?
We are going in Lisbon in mid August this current for our 33th marriage anniversary I definitely enjoyed your video and noted some spots that will be part of our trip. I really like the go to the point information you provided. No selfishness comment, simply facts and information.
Thanks Daniel, happy anniversary travel!
@@NewYorkerJuhui One quick question, how was the service in general at the international airport in Lisbon? We are coming from Canada.
@@imagenoire As far as I know, it's excellent
Hi, I really enjoy your vid! May I know what month of the year did you go to Lisbon? I’m planning to go in Oct and wonder how I should prepare my clothing. Thank you!
Thank you, I went to Lisbon in February!
Hi Juhui! Great and informative vlog 🙂 My colleagues and I will be in Lisbon this Sunday and all of us are very excited. Your video made us anticipate our trip more!
May we please ask for the contact details of the Walk Tour guide?
Oh thank you so much, Raymil! Of course, here's their website: lisbon-chillout-freetour.com/ I also left their link in the description of the video. Happy travels!
One type of transportations I didn’t get to use in Lisbon was ferry. Turns out you can get to Almada where the famous Ponto Final restaurant is via ferry as well. Thanks for the info, Rui neves. If anyone’s interested, here’s a website to check out: lisbonlisboaportugal.com/amp/lisbon-ferry-amp.html
I used the ferry because I wanted to see the open ocean. I walked from the southern harbor of the ferry to Costa Caparica. I found there a wooden passenger way over the sandy coast.
iup, theres no need to walk down stairs, theres a beautifull walk from cacilhas (where the ferry lands) to the restaurant and way beyond, where theres gardens near the river, where a lot of people go to see the sunset or late afternoon picnic, and theres an elevator nearby too to the top of the hill...now you know you nedd to come back :p
@@PauloSousa86 When I was walking back to the ferry station in Trafaria, I found a cheap restaurant half way.
You don't need to get those stairs to go to Ponto Final, just get a boat to Cacilhas, from Cais do Sodré, and go to the restaurant by foot and along the river (15 min)
I didn’t know there was a ferry, thanks for your information! I just looked up and found this link if anyone’s interested in taking a ferry in Lisbon: lisbonlisboaportugal.com/amp/lisbon-ferry-amp.html
We just took an Uber. They dropped us off like 2 blocks away. We never used any stairs.
It's possible you weren't in Ponto Final, but in anorher nice restaurant....
Awesome video! I’m going to Portugal in June! Question does anyone know the hours of the time out market? I know a lot of the restaurants and kitchens close during the day between lunch and dinner. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I don’t think the vendors at the timeout market take a break during the day like most restaurants. Have a great to Lisbon!
Visiting Portugal in July and came across this video for some ideas! Currently searching for an airbnb and was wondering if you are able to share the one you stayed at/which area it is as I absolutely love the balcony area!
Thank you so much x
Yes of course, be sure to check out this video to get ideas: czcams.com/video/j8Tpo50gMgQ/video.html I shared the airbnb link in the description.
@@NewYorkerJuhui Ohh thank you so much for this information!
Great video and very detailed compared with other blogs. Can you please tell me where you got the free walking tour tickets? I am planning to go next week and do the tour on day 1 too. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your feedback, please google “Lisbon Chill Out Free Tour” to book! Our guide’s name was Jose.
Thank you so much. I will definitely check out all the places you mentioned 😊
Hello I must say very good, I'm a bit from a different story, but in a similar style. Travel to travel! It is with you, it is with me. I like it! And most important thing. We have Passion, which some will not take from us! Greetings from Kampala Uganda. You will come to me when you have time for a good rest and fun. Peace and cheers
I'm taking notes from this travel tip video! 📝 Btw, have you heard about the new Nomadlane V4 Bento Bag? It seems like a must-have for adventurers like you! 🌏🌴
7월에 포르투갈가는데 많은 참고되었어요~😁😚
Thank you! Glad to hear it was helpful.
To go to Ponto Final u can take a boat to Cacilhas and walk by the walk river, dont need to go up and down
Where did you stay as it looked amazing and I would like to look into it- we are looking to visit in 2023
Thanks for the question, I shared this info in my new video and linked the airbnb url in the description here czcams.com/video/j8Tpo50gMgQ/video.html
Thank you so much for this lovely video and As always so wonderful. I’ve learned a lot from all of your video especially the Lyon one for when I was visiting there. Can you please share where did you stay in Lisbon? Your hotel name or a name of a safe Neighborhood? I truly appreciate your answer.
Thanks so much, Penny! Glad to hear my videos were helpful for planning your trip to Lyon. The hotel I stayed at was Grand Hotel Des Terreaux: www.hotel-lyon-grandhoteldesterreaux.fr/ The area around this hotel was ideal for travelers - safe and close to every attraction.
She was asking for the hotel name in Lisbon, not Lyon!
@@TT-ef8sq Thank you so much. That was my question but she explained in her next video that she stayed at Airbnb.
Great video! Did paperwork or COVID related forms did you need to enter Portugal and also to return to the States?
Back in February, we needed negative test results for both trips to Portugal and the U.S., but I think EU has eased the covid-related travel restrictions. You'll still need the negative test result and covid-related papaerwork to return to the U.S.
@@NewYorkerJuhui Thank you for the information!
Do you mind sharing what Airbnb you stayed at? It looks beautiful😍
Sure, it's in the description of this video: czcams.com/video/j8Tpo50gMgQ/video.html
Hello, thanks for your videos. Please, could you give me the information of the rbnb where you stayed in Liaboa?
Hello, of course! I've linked the airbnb at the end of the description in this video: czcams.com/video/j8Tpo50gMgQ/video.html
@@NewYorkerJuhui Thanks!!!
Did you make a reservation for the Wine Tasting Room in Commerce Square??
We didn't need to make an appointment. We just walked in but we were there during the off-peak season in February.
any recommendations on (1) neighborhoods to stay at during my visit and (2) ways to travel with an elderly person who isn't the best at hilly cardio-like walks?
great question, check out this video to find out which neighborhoods are most suitable for you czcams.com/video/j8Tpo50gMgQ/video.html
Hello awesome video! Do they accept rapid at home tests to get into Portugal? What type of COVID test did you use?
I believe they don't accept home tests - I went to a clinic to get the rapid antigen test back in February. Thanks for watching!
@@NewYorkerJuhui Thank you you are the best!!
Hi, Can you share the month you were visiting Portugal? Planning a trip for November and trying to figure out the weather to expect
Sure we were there in February!
Hi! Great video! I will be visiting Portugal over the summer. Could you explain what the process was when you entered Portugal? Did your US vaccine card work or did you have to get a different EU version on top of the negative covid test?
Thanks for the question, I didn't have to get the EU vaccine card when I traveled to Portugal in February. Covid test results and the U.S. vaccine card (digital) worked just fine! I think Europe just eased the travel restrictions, so please check out the most updated requirements.
@@NewYorkerJuhui thanks for the quick reply! I have a very similar itinerary as yours but 5-6 days in Lisboa (including a day trip to Sintra) and 4 days in Algarve. Do you think that it's enough or would you recommend that we extend our stay either in Lisboa or Algarve? thanks again!
@@paulokim1998 Personally I wish I had more time in Algarve - we were there only for 2.5 days. I think Lisbon for 5 days and Algarve for the rest sounds really great!
2. Actually this is the Santa Luzia view point, the São Jorge View point is in te same castle
I just came accross your channel researching what to visit in Lisbon. We are doing Lisbon & Porto in three weeks. My only concern is the covid testing for our flight back to US. Was it hard to find the testing site? We would have to do it on Satutday, since our flight back is early Sunday morning.
I’ve seen many mobile test sites in the city and I believe you can take the test in pharmacy too in lisbon. I personally took the test in Geneva, Switzerland not in Lisbon, because I had a long layover.
@@NewYorkerJuhui Thanks for the reply. I love your Portugal videos. They will be helpfull for our upcoming trip.
Is there any affordable Airbnb in Lisbon you would recommend?
I love Portugal. Especially Porto. It's my favourite country. When do you think is the best time to visit? I was there in September and I loved it. It was warm not hot and it didn't rain much. I want to go back next year but not sure when.
I agree Portugal is a warm and lovely country! I believe Portugal is a good place to visit pretty much all year round.
@@NewYorkerJuhui I knew you would say that lol. I've had a great time whenever I've been.
Is Portugal safe to travel by ourselves without tour escort? How about transportation, did u rental car in Lisbon or Uber?
Hi! Where did you stay and do you recommend the hotel or airbnb?
I stayed in an airbnb apartment in Baixa-Chiado district - having a small balcony in the apartment was a great perk!
Dang thanh ninh thank
No Cascais??
I’m planning on traveling and doing a solo trip at the end of year. Did you find it easy to get around with just speaking English?
Absolutely yes! Most people speak and understand English. The only thing I noticed was that signs are mostly in Portuguese, so having a smartphone or google translator app on your phone would help.
@@NewYorkerJuhui thank you so much! This is helpful. Aside from google translator any other apps you recommend?
Gd video doing the same but only 2 days n sept 22
I’m thinking of taking a direct flight to Lisbon from San Francisco. I haven’t flown since 2019. What is the Covid testing procedure? Do I need to bring my vaccine card?
I only brought the digital vaccine card, and it was sufficient. I hear Europe has started easing Covid travel restrictions. I strongly recommend for you to check out the most updated info.
saw a mask done!
What month did you go. I noticed you wear long sleeves and jacket. Is it cold there?
I was there in February!
She´s beautiful
Best ting to do in Lisbon in 2023, is to take a train or bus to Cascais or Porto. It's not Lisboa anymore, it's little India.
