Done seen 3 or 4 of these shootouts and so far the Aprilia has won, the R1 has won, the BMW has won, and the CBR has won.
Basically, you can’t go wrong with any of these. Find one that you like and that’s the end of it. Happy riding.

    •  Před 6 lety +14

CBRboy1717 GSX-RR is cheaper than others full model, no doubt that for the price and performance (the engine it's absolutely top notch) the Gixxer is the bike of 2017. Regarding vibration, it has equal or less than S1000RR, the price to pay for a very high Rev engine with just one counter balancer. (Like almost all RR bikes from 1986 to 2012, nothing to worry about)

I got the suzuki because My previous bike was a 750 and i felt i would have better reliability with it. Besides the aprilia i think its the best of the bunch.

In conclusion, quit whining. Suzuki is lucky their motorcycle was even featured with that humpback whale ass looking shike.

its really the absolute first time i hear someone say that is hard to adjust the traction control in the aprilia, its had those 2 paddles perfectly placed for your left index and thumb (thumb +1 index -1) since 2010, on the fly, no need to change ride modes or enter any menu, if you feel slippiness you press your thumb, if you feel the tc too early you press with your index.
    easiest fastest TC controls EVER

Honda is the most underrated brand for sportbikes they are everything you need but they aren't as exciting as R1's and RSV4's,but 99% of the people riding aren't pushing these bikes to their absolute limits anyways. I'd say the CBR is the makes the most sense for most street riders because the ergos are better for the street every Honda I have ridden is super confidence inspiring and they are super reliable.

I really don't think it matters too much which bike you ride as long as you like what you see. For me looks and Finnish are a must, equally, the way she rides, power doesn't really mean much on the road for me, 200hp is by far more than I can ride flat out. When I turn back to look, I have to see blue.

I want the cbr1000rr sp badly. Suppose it's a bit down on power compared to the other liter bikes but its refinement and build quality is off the charts. Rumor has it next year there will be an increase in power to over 200 hp and it will clearly be the bike to beat. In any case I agree with M. Davis in that very few riders can actually use all that power anyway. Amazing machine as is.

I bought an 2016 RSV4 RF last summer. I've been riding since I was six ('76). I've owned CBRs, GSX-Rs, Ducatis, Yamahas, and ZX-7s..... pretty much bikes from every major manufacturer with the exception of BMW, Triumph, and MV Agusta. I have to say, the RSV4 RF is by far the most incredible bike I've owned. It brings with it the Italian styling and sound, but provides smoothness and reliability of the Japanese bikes. I accept that you have declared the R1 as the best, but I've owned many Japanese bikes, and within a year or two I'm bored with them. The bike I owned before the Aprilia was a Ducati 999 which I had since new in 2003..........over a decade. I never grew tired of it, it just became tired amongst the newest bikes, so it was time to go. Italian bikes bring something to the table that the Japanese bikes can't. Which bike will you want in your garage after a couple of years? The Aprilia....... Also, the sound of that V4, even with stock exhaust.............epic. It's the only sport bike I've owned that doesn't need an aftermarket exhaust. You don't need to touch it.

The R1 has cost a FORTUNE to try and get sorted for road and track, suspension upgrades, engine mapping, brake upgrades. You cannot beat the RSV4, sorted stable handling & superb brakes, and the 2017 engine is a masterpiece.

I agree completely r1! I've had ducatis, R1's , rsv4 , and a car 1000rr and the r1 was my favorite bike , but now I jsut bought the new 2017 Yamaha FZ10 (the naked r1 ) supernaked and it is the most fun I've ever had on a bike, has the same cross plane crank 998 cc motor same frame, swingarm, brakes, electronics as the r1 it truley is a supernaked r1 regardless of how Yamaha doesn't like that comparison. Best part is it was RE-tuned for a broad power curve, low and midrange power is insane, it power wheelies by accident in any gear but 6th which u can still get it up but needs the clutch, hat power wth the factory larger rear sprocket makes it anninsane wheelie hooligan, cruise control and upright bars makes it long distance friendly, best of all thonis that rsv4 sound that the crass plane crank r1 motor makes, I ripped the cat out and its closest to a moto GP bike I've ever heard! If u haven't rode one go demo one! It's easy to see why the r1 is still at #1 in so many comparisons, the fz10 jsut reinforces that. Love the video and waiting for a supernaked comparison soon!? New Tuono 1100, FZ10, s1000R , superduke, lets see it guys! Sales for supernakeds for 2016 DOUBLED the decreasing superbikes sales , it's a new trend where u can get the same power (except for Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki ) as a superbikes but do it comfortable with crusidecontrol and non back breaking riding position. I love superbikes but as someone with a back injury , supernakeds are great for those that have a hard time . Please give us supernakeds a new comparison!

When parts are needed they cost an arm and a leg and take forever. The GSX has bad brakes, the R1 turns in heavy, the Aprilia has a long 1st gear, the Honda doesn't go as fast. Apart from that nothing was said.
It'd be great if you talked in terms less vague or general. Talk about price, ergos, gas consumption, electronics, engine noise, display, vibrations, previous versions -is it better to upgrade, directly compare the suspension, brakes, power delivery, show some stills of the bike.
