All the skylights are great. Definitely design that wall to suit a good tv, reduce the door width like Lachy said to fit the tv to the right of the fireplace, design its space to suit it, don’t just squeeze it in. A well spaced tv wall makes the room work, the portable or retractable ideas are weird. Are you guys moving into the downstairs bedroom or is that a guest suite? Watch out for pool fencing regulations. Definitely do a door on the powder room toilet (do hidden sliding door if you want). I would keep the kitchen flooring the same as the rest of the house, just have bathrooms/powder and laundry different only. I love your house so so much ❤️

Skye I’m with you completely there is nothing worse than water going everywhere. It’s horrendous constantly cleaning it up . I would never put glass as a shower screen ever again they’re a cleaning nightmare and I clean mine every day. They look ugly when they get used
Lachie and Skye do what you want and what you prefer, end of the day it's your and Skye home. I do love some designers but some are over the top and go off there own preferences as opposed to what the actual client wants. I had a quiet chuckle to myself because I'm in trades as well and lachie is me %100 on his practical approach to design and his quiet pushback on some ideas from the designer haha can't wait to see how it comes out looks amazing already

Well at least there's privacy with the lounge/bar area toilet, you NEED a door there for sure. Why have that huge door opening next to the fireplace, close that in and have the Tv on that wall, and maybe just have a long window further along, at the opposite end from the the fireplace, you need that wall for a TV. But is that where the stairs are ?? if so not good, I'd put the door leading outside on the side wall if you can, and I thought there were sliding doors there ? A toilet & shower near the pool would have been good so no one is going in the house
That old garage door opening in the master downstairs. If you filled it in and made it a higher window. You can but the bed there, feet facing the ensuite/ walk in , plenty more space for the bedsides.
Not sure about the toilet and bed placement... you can lay in bed while your partner shits! Can your bed not go on the opposite wall as that all seems very tight and squishy.
