Surprisingly a lot of new players I speak to have pretty good macro thoughts, but mechanically don't really know what their champ or the champ across the lane from them is capable of. As you go up in rank a lot of games get carried by solid mechanics/micro alone, because players develop bad MACRO habits in lower elo play. It's until you reach ranks where players have acceptable levels of skill in both micro and macro that the tug of war really begins.

yaaa I really guessed silver here, hearing it was plat shocked me. Been silver the past 5 seasons with like maybe 20 ranked matches played each season, and see this stuff often. This preseason im actually putting in the reps, and so far out of about 35 games i have a solid 76% winrate based off of macro decisions alone!

I feel like in my low elo (high silver/low gold) most macro plays are just dumb luck. Sure you stayed bot to push when you should have went mid, but then it's a coin flip if the mid laner will shove the lane in and make you lose cs. Most people randomly do things like push or freeze without intent. Because of this, we're not really punished properly for making bad macro plays, because everyone else is making bad macro plays (if I had a quarter for every game a teemo had 100% lane control against me as melee yet only had 40 cs by 10 minutes). It makes it hard to get better because we're all just randomly swinging at eachother with blindfolds on. Not an excuse, just an observation.

Renegade Pige after watching so many videos (my macro still sucks don't get me mistaken) i would have shoved the lane. I'm still bronze and getting matched with silver/gold players and getting reported because i had one bad game in an elo i shouldn't be in kind of discouraged me, but that's not my point. My point is : most people have some little knowledge of how you should do things. We just lack that little extra knowledge that are either match ups, freezing, slow pushing or taking objectives. Some of them also play just for fun. I have a friend who's in b3 and he's just having fun whether he loses or wins, so he doesn't really care how high or low he is. He still tries to do good but if he doesn't, it's still fine

They're basically just reinforcing the same concepts with different examples, recycling past tips. Which is fine! Reinforcement is good, really drilling it into your head so its second nature can be helpful.
But I haven't really watched a Skill-Capped video and said "Oh, heck, that's something really smart I hadn't thought of yet, I should apply that" in a looong time. I just watch them because I feel relaxed by it.

@@ASL-np1se What I meant is that very rarely you'd see a jungler go defend an undefended tower on low elo, at least as a gold scrub that's not playing enough to improve I never see it happening x)
Taking the farm in front of the tower instead of letting it crash is probably to pick up the cs more easily and not miss any. At least that is generally my reason for doing so, + sometimes creating a freeze. Also it reduces the damage inflicted on towers, but that is probably a lesser reason. After re-watching the clip, gragas maybe wanted to create a freeze too, but ryze prevented him from doing that.
Also, farm matters. If you don't farm well, you'll be in a deficit compared to your opponents, making it more difficult to rise above them

I really like the format and how you ask questions I think it's a really interactive way to educate people. I'm not a high elo player but for that I believe I notice something I'd like to bring to your attention. When you mention that "the tf should pressure bot and even if he gets killed that would be okay " that is assuming his teammates will actually do that. However I have noticed that over relying on my team in gold and plat usually ends up resulting in no follow up. I'm not trying to complain about my teammates here however, I find much more success when playing strictly for myself and focus on getting myself ahead first instead of when trying to coordinate with my team. Even though it feels great wheb doing it with people in voice chat.

But since i am pretty new and bad at micro, i spent much thinking and researching for macro gaming. I believe the key is do not expect your team to follow up, observerve them. When your team push/siege or dance and poke each other with enemy, you push too. When your team play passively do not extend for second tower, instead keep in neutral position, farm and zone Ryze from csing and harass as the video said. This part is about split pushing essentials, we should learn and practise timing map awareness when to tp when to group etc. Thanks for your time if you are bothered to read it.

It's frustrating playing champs like TF, Ryze, or Tahm Kench in low elo precisely because of what happened while TF was pressuring bot.
Rather than identifying that their splitter was extended and needed midlane pressure, they recalled. Now, idk what their health/Mana was at that moment, so it may have been the correct call in that specific circumstance, but you get my point- in low elo, macro coordination is nigh impossible.

I find it better to be in vision of the enemy team when you cant tp to the fight so you can show to them you are pressuring the tower. Like almost diving but not diving the ryze. This way ryze will feel more at risk and the guys on the othsr team will know you are going to be taking the tower. This way you can make them more anxious about fighting your team and someome might recall

I think you forgot to show items like potion. We had no way of knowing the current quantity of it. If he had plenty of it and grab honeyplants, tf might have some control in lane. Assuming, tf and ryze have equal amount of gold and around 6 mins, it is reasonable for tf to recall for refill and item and reset lane.

yeah sure its not the case that my teammates is the problem when i am 6-0-24 with zac jungle and in the early game my toplane irelia dies to fiora and then she does tp in the minion wave under fiora's turret and fiora is level 3 and irelia just got lvl 2 just to die twice in 1 minute and then go back to lane to die again in 6:00 my toplane is 0-3 or 0-4 propably make a video about that (platinum elo)

Play more carry oriented junglers with a decent early game/ganking/skirmishing power. Namely Ekko, Kha'Zix, Graves, Karthus, Evelynn, Shaco etc.
The problem with early game junglers like Rek'sai, J4, Lee Sin, WW, Elise etc. is that you have to pull off the early game and KNOW exactly how to snowball this lead into a fast victory.
You don't necesseraly have to on other junglers, as they scale way better than those early junglers.
This is the reason why some of those early game junglers have such a low winrate in general, but a really high winrate in Challenger. People don't know how to snowball their lead into an instant win.
This is why Junglers like Ekko are so strong. You can get away with an okay early and still carry.
This is why macro is so incredibly important on junglers, because then it really does not matter which champion you play, as you know how to snowball your leads and win any game.
Rek'Sai is a perfect champ to learn this macro, so focus on that. There is always a missed opportunity or wrong decision in a game. Try to find these in your replays and learn from it.

This time i got all the decisions right, but i was sure this was silver elo, also, i want to ask, in the first part where tf ganked bot, was ryze supposed to shove the mid lane minions to tower instead to deny CS or was there a better play for ryze in that scenario?

The waves were even so he didn't have a freeze opportunity. Shoving the wave to tower to get tempo while TF has to clear them is correct. (He can use the tempo to help jg or to reset to match TF spending his gold)

He had the two options, to shove or to reset. If he resets nothing happens, he would catch the wave under his turret if tf goes mid as he did because its a cannon wave and cant shove it fast enough. On the other hand, Ryze knows Zac was near/going mid so there was a chance to punish tf before he spent his gold. None of them was a bad option, in the second case he trusted or knew that Zac was going mid.

Ngl I'm a TF player too and carrying on TF, even when fed is nearly impossible unless you're dopa. If you don't at least half hp people with 1 rotation, you're in a really bad spot.

Thats not the point of tf to oneshot people. You want to win through your ultimate and your gold card while using wave management to create a scenario in which you have a numbers advantage. And even then its unlikely you will oneshot somebody as tf unless you're 10/0. It's more important to zone the opponents and hit key targets with your gold card in the right moment.

Great tips and everything, but in low elo you cant trust your team, they dont listen to pings or shotcalls.
Most of the time they are just doing some meaningless fighting.
Also most of the time if you trade objectives they will flame rage and start trolling, because they dont understand whats going on in the game.
And this shit goes on till plat.

i cant climb because the client is awful was dia 4 now hard stuck gold 4 because every time i play a game despite have 160+ fps and 23-32 ms ping , it seems to randomly have a 1-2 second delay on actions and champs teleport about slide and skill shots are literally sometimes invisible , thanks riot (btw nothing to do with my isp or system every other online game works fine )

Notice how when they show TF coming from base after that reset, he starts walking instantly from the inhib tower not the nexus. Of course, if that happened we wouldn't miss anything, but we DO spawn from nexus and resetting WILL make you lose that wave. Error on their part.
