"Seven!" "Woo!", Yasha's deadpan, Molly's tarot reading. The whole thing is just gold.
I missed C1, but loved Vox Machina so i thought I would get into C2 before the Amazon prime series started, I just started watching and I already love Nott

That sounds like my character
I know. His previous character was him literally trying to make the worst possible character based on Liam's suggestions. Which later ended up being much deeper and one of the most crucial to the campaign. This one seemed like a joke character and then it turned out it had such depth and backstory, with multiple twists. OneDankind, there's really so much to cover that would take a long time explaining, so it's not for lack of giving spoilers, but basically, yeah it just seems like a silly fun character here, but later we will find out a lot of backstory, that shows Sam created the character with a lot of deep backstory, and lots of it is actually sad or tragic rather than just a silly little goblin girl.
Larry Berry thank you for explaining.
Just re-watched this and noticed that Sam knew to speak halfling, that was a nice little wink.

There’s just one episode to go to for Molly’s accent, finally discovered, and it’s a sad one,,, all good things come with prices it seems
Whether intentional or not, a hobo making something of himself would be more confident in how he speaks and a goblin that might not be used to speaking common would sound very foreign until they found a group of humans to socialize with on a regular basis. I think this was unintentional and just kind of happened when they got more comfortable with their voices.

This is my second or third time watching campaign 2 after watching all of them and I totally agree. They almost all if not all have acting backgrounds but Ashley really flips a switch and becomes the character at the table for the scene with little breaks for laughter and bits, it’s a very rare and impressive skill in ttrpgs. I think anyone that’s complained about Ashley for being absent at times or needing support for rules or lore doesn’t appreciate how in demand she is for this level of work.

My mind instantly: "You were trying to cross the border, right? Walked right into that Imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there."
Bro this is good😂😂
YEAH hahahah

A man of culture edit: they also have skyrim and witcher music player in the background im pretty sure :p
I would be halfway to hammerfell if it wasn't for you damned storm cloaks
Nott: *wears a mask*
2020: you're about... 2 years too early
Nott: *drunkenly hiccups* HAH! THATS... THAT.... I forgot what I was gonna say
Omg- why didn’t they make NOTT masks when they made masks?!
@@ambiej123 I so want this now!
How did I guess this?
Just finished Campaign 1 (Literally still crying from watching Dalens Closet), and I'm already ready to be hurt again by falling in love with these new characters. Mighty Nein here I come!
anyone else coming back fo4r a re-watch of our favorite Nein
Sam: This is the accent I'm sticking with for the next 2 years!
*3 years later and still Nott done*
Veth
I mean, she doesn't have a cockney accent anymore
This is my first watch through so I have no idea who Veth is. Also, the Nott pun was gold and I wasn't going to give it up.
it's so funny seeing the evolution of accents. sam definitely kept the high scratchy voice but totally lost the british part lmao
@@isa382I'm just gonna say her speech changed with exposure to other accents maybe? When I moved to Colorado I definitely lost my Midwest accent over time. So that can happen naturally.
When Beau asked Jester if she was superstitious, I half expected her to say, “I mean, I’m a _little_ stitious.”
Me too. THE OFFICE REFRENCE
@FrostCore Can something not be from The Office and be funny?
@FrostCore ...okay? I like them both also? I was just wondering why you acted like The Office didn't create the joke.
Gotta say, one thing that’s really noticeable & wholesome in this episode is how much the group all love Ashley lol
Like, obviously they appreciated her in the first campaign. But at least some of that could be mistaken for “yay, our happy little healer is here!”
But here she’s introducing a more surly character and everyone still immediately loves her too.
It’s just funny
Ashley is a great role-player, she just unfortunately was so busy filming a tv series (Blindspot) that she was rarely there so they all celebrated any moment they could get with her.
TALIESIN : “I am simply a vessel for higher powers”

Cotter Edwards YES! Bad jokes about outdated movies are the BEST! You rock
the poetic cinema of caleb's first damage given being NEIN! 👌
Going through a hard time, and came back here for a soft place to land. This story means everything
same. comfort beyond belief
My feelings exactly, couldn’t have said it better.
Jester, not even one hour into the first episode of the campaign: "I'M LOOKING FOR MY DAD"
Laura: "sorry for taking some of your money"
Travis: "ok give it back"
Laura: *"why though i won it"*
Sam: "your Laura is showing"
Jester*: "sorry for taking your money"
Fjord: "ok give it back"
Laura: "why though I won it"
Anyone else here for a re-watch of MN after the recent 2 part return?
me!!
@@mhowa_r hell yeah! lol Liam and the rest said it best: I really love these assholes!
I'm here returning to the M9 because the BH campaign is very boring. Little impact or progress beyond getting 2 characters killed in a fight they could have easily won. Hopefully it picks up once they get to Eos!
Yes, love all 3 campaigns but love 2 the most!!!
First time through here. I started with C3 and spent the last year+ watching C1 and related one shots. I look forward to finally catching up around 2025.
I first watched C2 without C1. These people on the screen were weird strangers to me, playing an even weirder dice game. That was a long while ago, I watched all of this campaign and then went back to Vox Machina and now I return as a person who has learned to love D&D, learened so much about it, played tons of games and now as a DM. These people on this screen now have so much more of a deeper and emotional meaning to me as well as the characters that they play.
My first encounter was a compalation of the furniture battle of c3, didnt know who any of the people where and felt like c1 started in media res (because it was) and started this instead and fell in love with everything dnd
The light that leaves Caleb’s eyes when they first bring up the Academy is irl academy level acting. Holy crap, Liam.

@@rcdehaai Chill my dude.
@@rcdehaai Right, there's no room to bring up highlights or discuss favorite moments on a public forum. What would you prefer? 'Wow, that sure was neat!' or 'That one moment, with those two characters was a good moment and I personally found it funny/poignant/significant'.
You don't have to shit on other people. It's rude.

First episode of Critical role I've ever watched, and damn that circus scene has me fuckin hooked with goosebumps by the way he was describing it. Can't wait for the rest!
Honestly, same. Started at the beginning of quarantine 2020 and i litteraly did not want to go to bed because that would be time wasted when i could be watching these idiots adventure throughout Wildemount
POV: you have played dnd exactly once in your life, came here because of the Vox Machina series, but don’t want (some) spoilers for Vox Machina, but want to experience Critical Role, so you started with campaign two like a madman and likely won’t get through two episodes let alone the campaign before the series
Yep. Sounds Abt right

"a trost for both of us"
"for breakfast?"
"yes"
"i like you"
whats a trost by the way?

@@steelwarrior105 Not just old German, but yeah, it's probably beer

Seeing Sam, the most chartismatic human I've ever seen, playing a CHA 5 character is really going to be a highlight this campaign
Playing against type is SO MUCH FUN! XD I've got multiple graduate degrees, teach college courses, know multiple dead languages, etc. but the most fun I've ever had was playing an INT 4 Barbarian.
He's going to be the most socially awkward charming person
Silver Ackerman he's a professional charming person xD
#LowWisdomMasterRace
#WalkIntoAllTheTraps
#GetTrickedByLiterallyEveryone
#GetMauledBecauseYourAnimalHandlingIsGarbage
He's probably the best overall at "playing the game" so to speak. He sticks to character, doesn't powergame, and works with the knowledge his character would have rather than what he as a player has.
Final Roll of Campaign 1 - Travis - Nat 20
First Roll of Campaign 2 - Travis - Nat 20
We love to see it.
im weirdly emotional stumbling onto this video again after so many years, what a journey, what a story, if anyone is here is new and just coming to this. Enjoy one of the best d&d campaigns ever created, and welcome to critical role
I am just starting to watch critical role. (I have seen dimension 20 and thought I'd give it a try) so it is good to know that this will be good.

The Marketing Director of DnD Beyond made the greatest decision of their life when they started sponsoring Crit role on this day.
Anyone who tried to shut down the deal probably is in a new job today.
Actually, on further reflection of my previous comment, Id like to add: Whoever made the deal could almost show up drunk, sleep at their desk, and when the intern asks how he gets away with it someone says 'he got us advertised on critical role'.
This is not how jobs work.

I discovered CR a year-and-a-half ago, and I *just* caught up on Bell's Hells. Now that I'm actually finally waiting for new episodes to air, I figured I would start up Mighty Nein, because why not? Let's do this!
Same!
Hey there. Finished C1 like 5 hours ago - weeping and overwelmed by feelings.
Now let's go on a new adventure. I heard so many good things about C2.
Let's dive in
Liam describing his C3 character: THE CLEANEST PERSON YOUVE EVER SEEN, not a HINT of dirt!
smells like DAISIES. absolutely LOVELY
I mean orym isn’t that far off with Dorian around
Literally Dorian
[To Laura in C3] "Your character has banjos playing in her head constantly, no take backs."
Funny enough, Orym, Liam's C3 character, reminds me of Derrig, the Half-Elf fighter he did for Dalen's Closet, the epilogue of sorts for C1, and acting as Keyleth's bodyguard, even if they both knew she didn't need it even if Orym is a different race.
I still think it's so funny that Nott got less cockney over time, while Caleb got more German. Like they only have a total of one accent that they have to share, so when one gets stronger the other fades.
Conservation of faux foreign accents
I'm watching this episode again after having finished the entire campaign, and I had this exact same thought 😂
I noticed that! >XD
But what of Fjord?
@@Pluto137 Fjord was copying the accent and mannerisms of his late er former shipcaptain(can’t remember what happened)
