    Rocked the developer betas on my iPad since like beta 3, removed the beta profile when the final release happened.
    It did fix a nagging bug I had with FaceTime calls, where if you answer a video call from the lock screen, or if you accidentally lock the tablet mid-call, your outgoing video would be broken the moment you unlock the tablet, and remain broken either until you find the right disable/enable camera dance, or restart the call.
    I did wait until the release to update my primary phone, though.

    Focus is so good. I set up a study one where the home screen page with "for fun" apps disappear, along with notification badges and that alone makes drifting away much harder. Not to mention the fact that I can turn it on in the iPad and notifications will also stop in my phone. The safari tab groups also work great on that regard. Wish they linked the two though?

    Updated to iOS15 on my 12 Pro Max and my '18 iPad Pro 12.9. No issues! I really like the Weather app now, and Focus sounds great for when I'll need it, which I currently don't. But I'm hardly a power user. I did notice that when I get Calendar notifications, I get prompted if I want to mute for an hour or all day, which is great! Except for the fact that today I selected mute for the day, and I got an audible Calendar notification maybe a couple of hours later. Go figure. The group Facetime stuff doesn't apply to me as it's not in my use case. Once I get my Mini I may have more thoughts on this, as I'll use that more than my Pro (the Pro is too big for easy casual use).

I found this to be REALLY useful since it is almost like having two iphone screens side by side, so i can take my reminder shopping list side by side of my grocery application when scheduling for pickup. Which also a big update is ipad non-native applications that show in “iPhone” mode can show like a phone when you have the ipad in landscape.

    I updated to iOS 15 for my iPhone and iPad. I’m surprised to say that I like the new safari layout on iPhone. I was expecting to not like it, but having the search at the bottom and being able to swipe through tabs easily is really useful. I’m also getting some use out of the new focus mode, and I love that it syncs between my phone and ipad (Not sure if that’s new or not though). As for iPad, I’m having a mostly positive experience. I really like the on screen widgets and being able to remove apps from my home screen, but the keyboard changes you mentioned have been a real problem for me. I wish I could have iOS 15, but with the old keyboard interface. It now blocks my screen, and when minimized is still inconvenient when I want to add emojis. It also doesn’t seem to want to work well with Grammarly. Overall I’m happy I updated now, but I’m hoping for these things to be fixed soon :/

    I already updated. On my iPad, all my apps/icons got slightly rearranged, which was irritating and took a while to put back. The widgets got in the way, so I put them on the widget screen ("Today View"). I don't really like the appearance of Safari. However, Maps, Messages, and Find My look nicer. Otherwise, I try to return my iDevices back to their original appearances before upgrades and then try out new features gradually, so it seems much the same to me.

    I was deep on a road trip and was excited about Siri. I was surprised I could set alarms without Internet, but not set reminders. I use reminders a lot for my medication and was really disappointed I couldn’t use my go-to reminder method offline

    Running 15 on my iPad with magic keyboard. The access to dictation is nice but it definitely gets in the way still… and I find myself fiddling with it often.

    Not mentioned but iOS 4 bricking the iPhone 3g and doing a number on the 3GS still comes to mind for me which buggy iOS releases. How far and little we have come lol.

    “To do this you’ll need to be online” is a slap in the face. It’s like “yeah, I understand what you want, but I’m not gonna do it”

    According to what I read I can't see any bad issue with iOS 15 upgrade, just few small incorrect infos like GB remaining space . Focus feature is very useful

    I think if you don't see the point of the new focus mode (i love it, they could add a bit more customization), it is better to hold till the new MacOS drops and you want to use new features e.g. Universal Control

    I like iOS 15 other than a weird bug where sometimes clicking on things (especially CZcams videos) does nothing. But the swiping between tabs thing in safari has legit changed how I use the app

    there’s now no option to disable notifications only when unlocked in do not disturb/focus :/

  • @Ashanmaril
    @Ashanmaril Před 2 lety

    I heard they ruined Do Not Disturb by lumping all your notifications into a clump that you have to manually swipe to see when you turn the screen on. That sounds pretty annoying, and makes me not want to upgrade. Sometimes I keep my phone silent, but want to see if I missed anything when I turn my screen on to check
