i had the exact same thought, just shows how much effort he put into this.
He has the perfect balance of tech head and design enthusiast. When I watch his videos I feel like I'm talking to a friend about tech concepts.
It's very weird watching a LMG channel and not having a single sponsor segue or ad spot. Not that I'm complaining, though.

@@Bob_Smith19 sure except lmg is a well established company, Linus is well known to all relevant advertisers and every video has already done great numbers. It's not like this is some startup that needs to prove itself.
@@SEMIA123 I think bob is right as it was similar with short circuit also the initial videos didn’t have sponsor spots. It started after the channel got some views. Linus also explained this on WAN show.

A sketching tip from an industrial designer: Use fewer strokes, don't scratch your way along the page. You only need to learn 3 shapes, straight line, curved line (following your shoulders motion) and ellipses/circles. Spin the canvas to match your needed stroke.

The tone of these videos are so different from general LMG videos, it's extremely nice to see this type of content and a different pacing of videos.

@@Bob_Smith19 🥺 dude of course I love them. LTT is my most watched channel and probably the only channel that gets my full attention. My feed is full of LMG videos. I love/like everything you mentioned. But I also love this kinda pacing in a video. Got a Nat Geo documentary kinda vibe. This was refreshing. LTT videos are like Red Bull. This was a soft drink if that makes sense.

Oh my god I can totally see Apple finally introducing a TV with no built in sound. The media and others would freak out and demonize Apple, competitors would constantly make fun of the Apple television set… and a few years later most TVs would no longer come with built in sound.

@@elonmusk420 to me it's the sense of pace to the videos. LTT feels hectic, I think they could give the content some space and air in order to give it a more focused feel with the same content they do now.
@@drew4678 oh boy, so used to that now, didn't even consider it here. But kind of learned to see past that, i'm making my own boring titles out of what's on the thumbnail and clickbait title, and then decide if i need to see it or not :)

I would never ever guess that this is the same company that also makes videos about extreme geeky stuff! My favorite type of content with the production quality of LMG, you get my howl of approval!
Don't take it wrong, the whole talk about TV is very techy too, the difference is, it has a very strong narrative and a TON of class, which Mac Users think they have.
But I must admit. I would love see more products like this one spread on the channel, or even a series of small tech documentaries and tutorials made with this quality. Jonathan and Andy Zhong are a great duo here. His text and direction and Andy's art direction and camera looks like a great duo.
@@RafaelSantAnnaMeyer It would be interesting to have a LMG do some legit documentaries its just the problem is they really are essentually doing a tv show level and amount of content, without break, and doing a actually documentary does not fit nicely in their business model.

A design similar to the rounded back of apples other home products could allow room for some type of flip-up camera. Hidden when not in use to preserve the aesthetic and provide absolute privacy and you’re not limited by bezels and depths for the quality or complexity of the camera itself

The main reason Apple won't make a TV is due to how often you buy those compared to other electronics. TVs really only are replaced once they break, and generally consumers don't care about the top of the line features each and every year. The amount of purchases made would not be worth the cost of production.
It'd also encourage more people to throw stuff in landfill.

I’m not even an Apple fanboy, but this was laid out so well and so vividly, I’m actually sad that this product doesn’t exist. :o
That's because companies should have been making this for years. It should have existed already. Samsung comes about the closest, I'm seriously considering that frame tv when I have to replace mine.

Funny you mention a TV without speakers. My first flat panel Plasma tv back in the day was a 50" c9mmercial monitor for ad displays I got a sweet deal for which had replaceable input boards)Panasonic TH-50PH9UK 50" Plasma Display) and I got it for around $200 US off a site that was tossing them.
It never bothered me then and to this day years later running 4k tvs I still don't use the builtin speakers. So I totally get your point about manufacturers shouldn't bother but then I remember my parents in their 70s who just want an easy to use new TV without all the extra speakers in a home theater.

Here is a random thought: if you own an iPhone, it seamlessly can double as a full remote replacement, with a smart pairing feature to fluidly transfer what you are watching on the TV to your iPhone, for those "gotta go to the bathroom" moments

This video is amazing. 1) it addresses every Apple fan's greatest wish in a detailed way and presents new twists on the old idea, 2) the video is absolutely stunning - bringing in design features of the best advertisements (including Apple's) and the camera movement (even if it's added in post-production) of high-quality TV shows or movies, 3) a fantastic follow-through theme of shots, with matching B-roll, continual returns to the iPad sketch, and visual effects (like the book), 4) it is incredibly well paced - not fast like most LMG videos, but never ever losing the user's attention. This is one of my favorite videos and wish to see many more in this style.
This channel is very very refreshing. Very different to the other LMG channels.
This one feels so clean, white, organized, serene, anything that's resembling Apple.
On the other hand, the other channels feel unpredictable, chaotic, cluttered.

Really loving the quality of these videos! Just one note (which I may be wrong on), I think apple has been doing variable refresh rate for a while, starting in the first gen iPad Pro (even at 60fps) and with stuff like the Apple Watch - it would be super interesting if they used LTPO tech to create static images if they wanted to go the picture frame route

Given the picture frame options, adding high quality ambient bias lighting using the same temperature LEDs as the display itself seems like an excellent feature as well.

Man, this channel is incredible. LMG videos usually all have a loose feel to them (except for the ones produced more tightly like the Tesla video and Secret Shopper). But this feels COMPLETELY different. And I like it.
