There is no way to put yourself in that type of comparison. Lz, tj, ect have sooooo many people behind the scenes and get help every single step of the way. It's not fair to yourself. I personally think you are doing exactly what needs to be done love the energy, Interviews, and the car content in general. #fromthegetgo
so true. When you look at like what gingium does, that's more like the size of Alex's group. Sure gingium grinds out work on his projects but he can only get so much done. And the quality of both Alex's videos and gingium's are great for the size of their teams.
The passion that radiates from you guys is infectious and it's such a huge part of what makes this community so great. I could be down in the dumps thinking I'm not doing enough, but watching your content lights a fire under my ass and helps me to push through those tough times. Can't wait to see what the future holds!
OK, so Alex you probably already have thought about this, but Honestly for me the 2 biggest things that I personally like to see in content, is building and driving. When I saw the video with You Gels and Dokota just working on the Z's exhaust, honestly was such a banger. 3 mins into that video I was dying cause it was so funny. More of that kind of stuff w the boys I think would do so well. Keep Killin it, keep working hard. Happy Thanksgiving man
Tbh your content is fantastic, your series on Fitment (so you want) really got me hooked because of your style. Keep up what you are doing man, it’s awesome. Your sit down and talking videos (1on1 style) is honestly great, personally it’s one of my favorites. Keep it up bro, thanks for all the hard work!
Alex, first and foremost congrats on the insane amount of progress you have made this year. You have come so far so don't let yourself feel down about not being at the same stage as some of the big name people who have being doing the Vlog thing for the past 8-10 years. Secondly, I wanna say congrats on the family. whatever you guys decide to do I wish for nothing but the best along that journey to you and bekah. Finally... having watched all of the long form content you have put out since the beginning I want you to know that you are a fantastic character in front of the camera. These types of videos highlight that so well, your way with words and thoughtful insights prove that you are an active player in the game. That being said, use that to your advantage. Instead of a vlog of you walking around at a car show, take lots of video, ask people questions, then sit down in the studio and voice over the event in typical Alex fashion. Use your build content or your show content as B-Roll. You, the person, will always be the primary focus and the reason your fans watch your content. At the end of the day, just be you and people will respond to that.
My favorite thing about you and the boys content is it feels relateable. Just keep being yourselves do what content you need to balance the money and what makes you guys happy and this shit is going to go to the moon. I love crazy ass no budget builds, But I like the "every man" stuff even more. Stuff like Dakota's Jetta build might not be cool to everyone but it really is to me. I also love all the nerdy technical stuff tire reviews all of it. You guys have a unique perspective on the industry and lots of inside baseball that people don't share and it has to be as entertaining to other people as it is to me. I'm so here for this journey. The podcast, builds, the website all of it.

And one of my favorite parts of FI was the "so you want" series.Those videos were so real because you didn't sugarcoat the fact all of those cars had flaws and issues.
I loved that every video had important info on the car and how to mod them. If you could do more of those I would 10000% watch

I always like to see what people bring to drift days. Noriyaro usually shows what other peculiar or odd cars show up or talks with friends. That would be cool to see

Followed since the very beginning of FI, it's nice to hear updates like this once in a while! I've been building and learning since I was 16 and I have no idea what I'm doing. And I promise Matt would say the same thing 😂 We're all out here learning every step of the way. Love the dynamic between the 3 of you, it's a big part of what worked at the last place and will help you succeed here too! This has probably been said but I feel like all your guys relatability is what I enjoy most, most car people out there don't have a crew getting their crazy car built in a week, we're struggling to get stuff done on our own too. Keep being genuine and your audience will keep finding you!
Love the content, keep it up! You mentioned your builds vs other creators, tbh it's refreshing seeing a group actually go through a build highlighting the time it takes AND the difficulties along the way vs. some others that seem to be able to crank out a car a week via 10 minutes of b-roll. I've enjoyed everything you do! Watching your videos taught me so much more about wheels and tires, cars and car culture, than most anyone else.
Long form videos are difficult - I think some of the best from an automotive standpoint are MCM, Larry Chen, Sara-N-Tuned, Superfast Matt - and I wish I had more time to be able to sit down and enjoy them. The downside is that viewers need to have the time to devote to watching the videos. The ones you've made are very fun to watch.

One day, I noticed that you were no longer in any of their recent videos and I was totally bummed out; then Dakota & Gels were gone, and it killed FI for me (no more reason to watch). Alex, as a random internet dweller, I want to say THANK YOU for everything you do, and thank you for your transparency in this video. I've been following since the company-that-shall-not-be-named and became even more of a fan when you launched martiniworks. Your goal-oriented mindset is super inspiring to me, and I like that you can be human and admit that there is 20% of the goal that was not attained, which makes you human, and makes me feel okay when something similar happens to me. Acknowledge the 20% not attained, but celebrate the other 80% that WAS attained. Your passion for creating a TRUE brand inspires me that there are still good people out there, and I'm excited to see and be a part of it blowing up. I love all the work from Martini Works as a whole! Try not to be so hard on yourself. If I've learned anything from you guys, David from TDIB, and Evan Shanks it's that yall have lives and are doing your best too and that's more than enough. Maybe a Martinis with Martini thing where you can just be transparent with us regarding updates and such. Maybe even a Tour de Drift where you visit popular drift locations in the us (maybe worldwide- kinda jumps off of idea to drift at Ebisu).
Anyway keep it up !!!
Do some more mods on the s2000. Its interesting to see the unique problems that come with modifying a car that already has an engine it wasn't born with and is putting down more power than it was designed to handle.
been loving the channel! I'm out in the sticks and some of the best looking cars around town have FI windshield banners. Talked to one of the dudes n he said the build threads helped him and his guys get their set ups right the first time. He's in here some where too. You doin it right

Good stuff and wish u the best. No lie don't be so hard on urself. We're our worst critics. This channel and ur entire vision has blown up in one year and incredibly! We have highs n lows but ur pressing forward and it'll all come to fruition for u. I believe it. 🙏
I think something that would help the long form content is just making them with a clear objective. Donut media does it really well. Example, let's say you put a angle kit on the Gloria. Show the degree of angle previously and what an angle kit does. Then record parts of the angle kit install. Finally take to the track and show how much easier it makes drifting with all the added angle, camber and self steer. This would help since it allows me the viewer to know exactly what I'm watching, which helps with engagement. I personally like more informative videos. This doesn't have to only involve working on a car either. Dakota did a great job when he used to do driver to driver. The informative part of that video was asking a owner of that car about its flaws and things he's done pair that with good humor and you got a hit. You did it aswell with the so you want series. I watched several of those videos on cars I'd never wanna own because i felt engaged and like I was learning something. Alot of the car show walk arounds and stuff just doesn't fair well with my attention span.
I've been following you guys since FI days, and i was stoked to see you guys went ahead with this. Awesome to see how far you guys have gone so far. Can say maybe you were a bit over ambitious on how many car's you were going to have but thats okay.
Thing i wish to see in 2024 from you guys, which is something you'se can't control is CZcams actually showing your videos so i don't have to search for them 🤷
Living on the opposite side of the country I hate that I can't actually put in more to help other than supporting the channel and buying the product. Just keep doin you man. You bring a ton of positivity into car culture which is awesome. The shorts are fun, the drift stuff is awesome, builds, all fun for sure. Its always hard to switch up content especially suddenly - the algo seems to be displeased lol. But im sure youll figure it out man, the collab stuff and interviews are fun and can help propel the rest

I’m glad the separation from FI has happened as it has made the Three Amigos be able to be together for a common purpose and do cool shit for themself and not a “parent company “.

I've been a fan yours, Alex, since I first binged your "So You Want A" series with FI. Dakota and Gels followed you quickly thereafter. All three of y'all have such goof-ass charisma about you, especially when you're all together.
I'd personally be pretty stoked to see some long-form content, especially if all three (or possibly four) of ya'll are involved. It sounds kinda sad to say, but at nearly thirty years old, all of my old car homies have either passed away, or we've all simply grown apart, as many of them are married and have children now, so I kinda get my fill of that vicariously via you and the boys.
Also, I work in a body shop.
It'll be interesting (and inevitably hilarious) watching you learn to do body work.

I've followed your content since FI, and I have always been a fan of your energy and the way you present content. Something I would like to see from your content is your trial and error as you learn more about hands-on modifications to your vehicles. You are very real in your content, so showing both your successes and setbacks encourages others to make the first steps with their own projects.
Despite all of the big things that Martini Works is doing, you guys do a fantastic job of keeping things real and staying in touch with the energy of a couple of friends doing fun shit with their cars. That specifically is the one thing I want to see most in the content. All the goofy fucking around in the garage working on cars videos are top tier. I'd also add that going counter to what youtube demands (pumping out as much flashy content as possible to gain the most attention) is better for this kind of thing. If you guys spend an entire day in the garage and are struggling to get X mod done because shit just isn't working out, that's content. Far more relatable to see some guys trying their best to figure out why their car sucks ass rather than having some insane scrapyard junker to SEMA build done in a 3 video sequence. Keeping that energy is going to be what gets Martini Works into the game with all the other giants who have gone overly corporate and lost their connection to the viewer. Love the content guys, can't wait to see what 2024 brings

I know you guys have been doing this for a while but that was with FI & you guys are doing so much better than FI, in my personal opinion, trying to build a new brand/content. The massive 4 day builds and youtube hype is definitely daunting. Me personally, I would love to see the learning and teamwork. We all love cars, but I think what makes a channel engaging is the stories behind those builds. I'd rather see friends having a good time making something cool than a hype build that hides all the hard work that people put in.

As an older(md 50s) car guy I love watching all your content the builds, the shows, the drives most of all your rambling it’s fantastic to see into the mind of enthusiasts. I would love to see interviews with other enthusiasts and builders along the same format.

Love that your aware of everything going on. Personally for me, I like to see people build shit and drive it more than I like to see vlog/talking. However building stuff takes money and time. I am big Dustin Williams fan, few months ago he was doing alot of traveling/bvogs and honestly I didn’t dig it at all, because i knew he had so much stuff he could make content on .I think you can do like per say 2 build videos to 1 talking videos per week. I think your also in a very unique position having gels and Dakota with you. You can do 3 person budget challenges all the time,MCM style. Also your in Appleton WI broooooo man cave units are so cheap out there, I’ve seen atleast 5 different units listed for $1000-1200 30’x50’(with a loft). I think if you split the rent or whatever you cab manage that with making content with the boys. Start with the small stuff.
I remember when I got to meet you in gat back in 2022 this guy is one of my favorite CZcamsrs now ! When I watch your videos I do feel like I’m just sitting down and having a real down to earth conversation about cars ! This guy gets his fan base I’ll always support!
I would love to see a series modifying the z and track days with it seeing the progress from each individual mod. I watch a lot of car content but always click on any video with the 3 boys first. Whether it’s together or separate content, I’ll most likely always watch. I love the podcast and have listened to every episode on spotify and always eagerly wait for the next episode to drop. Keep up the good work, im excited to see what’s in store!
Alex!! You need to check out Michael Morgan’s race track in Wisconsin!! He has a passion for building up the car community like you and does races every weekend during the season!! Also since we are state neighbors 😉😉😉 (I’m in Minnesota) I would love to help you out with the s2k wide body kit!! I got a couple of years of experience with panel trimming and some fiberglass work, I haven’t been doing it recently due to having to sell my power tools but would love to help y’all out!!
I think bringing back some form of Driver to Driver would be great for long form. You'd be able to have different takes from Kota, Gels, and yourself getting the stories from their cars.
I love what you guys put out and will continue to follow, you are the reason I supported the FI channel. This energy with Martini Works is exactly how i felt back then, keep up the good work!
I’m fairly new to your channel but I like it. I’ve tried posting and starting a car channel. Dude… it’s hard. I think consistency is the key. Once you have a following and more importantly, an income, I think (maybe) it gets easier… I haven’t made it there yet. Good luck and keep posting. It doesn’t have to be perfection every time. We’ll watch! Lol
With your personality and current content style, if you’re going to be doing long form content you may want to consider blending the two types of content you’ve created. You’re amazing at sitting down in front of the camera and talking, and you can get some great shots when you’re out and about. For longer form content I think it would be genius for you to do “reality show” style content. Fun content in the traditional “long form” style, interrupted by the quick witty Alex explaining the situation or how you feel about it as a cutaway shot.
Nobody does that in the car scene, and while it may be more work to produce, I think it will blend your styles perfectly. You’d basically start a new type of content.
In 2024, would like to eventually talk and meet you in person. One of these days I'll be able to add my ride to MartiniWorks. Until then, hope you continue to get better and grow. Take care & Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.

I want more content that focuses on the funny side of things. Sometimes you guys all just get together and have a good time, and that fun attitude is very entertaining to watch. I feel like people can tell when people are genuinely having fun, and that makes it all that more enjoyable.

I’d like to see more podcast style videos on current events and stuff. It’s my favorite stuff to “watch” on CZcams because I can put it on in my headphones and work (Nissan technician). I dig the podcast and would like more content that I can just listen to and not necessarily have to watch.

I would like to see more 1990's JDM owners cars, please. Too many modern cars just don't have any character (or power) anymore. I am a R34 GTT owner in Australia and like the way you shoot detailed video scenes on cars, not too long and not too short.

I would love if you did reviews on cars or like a car news segment kinda like the “so you want a (insert car)” but obviously not the same. I’ve been getting my friend into cars and showing him your old videos and he loves them but we have run out of content to watch.
Personally what I'd like to see is some more videos involving the build process of the cars you guys plan on build with a near step by step guide on the process of how it gets done. I really think that would be great for all car enthusiasts to watch and I think it would provide a lot of motivation to people such as myself who think we cant get things done on our own.
Alex, your energy is the reason why I got into F.I. Stay true to what you want to do. You are already a part of the CZcams creator world. You’ve hit some big names, and you’ll get there in time. Be patient and don’t let go of your dreams regardless of the frustration. You were the reason F.I. was as big as it was. Just do it Alex. You got this.

Keep up the good work and don't try to compare yourself to @SuperfastMatt That dude is LITERALLY AN ANOMOLY FOR CAR CZcams. A good anomaly, but even he has issues with the algorithm despite putting out banger content. You all have your own lane that is something that few other channels manage to do (i.e. real guys dealing with real car issues without a full time mechanic doing all the background work for you).

We have dm'd back and forth about this idea but correcting either a car series from a bigger channel, ie up to speed, or continuing the how to modify your car effectively like you did with the subaru wrx.
I would actually like more car content, Bare in mind that sometimes when you change video formula/content CZcams promotes it definitely or sometimes not at all because I didn't see the car content you mentioned, in short, keep at it bro.

You should come race with me/us @ Autobahn, Blackhawk Raceway, and Road America. Northwoods Shelby Cobra Club. I have a bunch of friends that I think you would get along with very well. Maybe develop a grip car for next season and see if you can beat my Z32 :) Might be a good change of pace for video content.

Not gonna lie when you guys left the other FI I COMPLETELY stopped watching them and now I just miss the old days where it was the boys having fun making content. Hope you guys can get creative, keep that same vibe and still make enough to support yourselves. Watching you guys just feels like I'm hanging with my buds. Yall truly feel like car guys and so relatable to the 30 y/o age group.
Im liking the new short form content but the thing that made me love watching your stuff was always the So You Want type of videos where I got to learn a bunch of stuff about cars and get to experience the Alex comedy.
