While consolidating my external NVME drives, I formatted the source drives afterwards, I have so many I lost track - OOPS ! I formatted a drive prematurely. I tried 2 other SF which found the files, but they could not show the file names, Wondershare was the ONLY ONE to get everything intact ! Best $100 I ever spent. You found the right one Robbie - 👍👍👍💫💫💫💫💫 PS: They have a tool which tests the integrity of video files !

@Nascompares Great stuff apu! Would you do a 1 year later video on the TS-453E like you did with the 464?

Thank you so much for your excellent video! May I ask what type of operative you have? Is it BTRFS or what are you using? What model of ASUSTOR are you using? The reason I ask is that I have had my video files accidentally deleted, and I have 2 disks set up as Raid 0, and I have purchased Wondershare Recoverit Advanced, and am trying to recover the files. But I can't get it to work! Have opened the ports for SSH both in nas and the router. I probably have an older version than you, I have ASUTOR 5304T if that matters? Would appreciate answers and tips! Unfortunately, I forgot to activate the recycle bin when I set up the raid, so I can't use it.

Loving your NAS videos. You ever had issues writing lots of data to the Austor NAS? I have a lockerstor gen 2 6 bay and it crashes and drops off the network part way through large transfers.

Can't say I have. It might be one of many factors though. File name length, file block/general size, local system locked file, etc. Have you tried transferring it gradually to isolate if it's a specific element of the data being sent over? Or does it seem like a random drop? Also, large single files, or thousands of miniscule ones? Id recommend using the free advice section or buzzing Asustor direct on it tbh. The latter might be better, as they might know of potential triggers that might suspend a transfer. Sorry I can't be more help bud

Trying last gasp attempts to recover files after deadbolt attack, so was hopeful this could assist - but no real joy so far. Obviously can't blame the software for something that isn't there, and I have managed to find 21 jpg's - of the original file size (but for which I have a smaller file size backup). Would have been worth recovering, but not paying full price for - but I'm not sure where the 100MB "for free" comes from - it won't let me recover any size of file - not even 50kB - for free. I've 1 no. 4TB drive being scanned, and it's still looking (and finding) files three weeks later! Now found 122 thousand files, but a huge number are duplicates at much smaller size - typically 50kB, or much, much larger size than the original - typically 32MB - but actually resolution on preview is similar to the 50kB file. Sometimes will let me preview. Other times the preview fails and it says the same photo can not be repaired. Most of these won't even display on the small thumbnail - (although some will open preview when clicked on) so would take an inordinate amount of time to sort through to see if there was an extra file worth saving.

I realize it might be a bit redundant, but would you mind sharing your experience with this software on a Synology?
