My first trip on new G3 gear, 2 hrs into the trip the ridiculous little G3 tip clip came off on one side. An hour later, that mickey mouse tail "clip" came off, and snow got under the skin. Pretty much as I suspected each would do.
So, I'll put a wire loop on the tip, and for the tails, a 3/4" piece of flat webbing with a fastex buckle, half of which is mounted onto the rear of the ski using short piece of webbing and 2 screws. Same system I've used since the 80's and has not once ever come off. Worked flawlessly from long before these young testers even existed, much less had any history of using skis or skins. LOL "Market leader" haha
