- Forget the last month's worth of predictions, we absolutely didn't see this coming. The 2025 lineup of Yamaha WaveRunners bailed on a 1.9-based SVHO and doubled down on larger screens, phone integration, microphones and speakers; as well as completely replacing the EX series with a near carbon-copy of Sea-Doo's Spark. They also repainted the GP's exactly like the '24 RXP-X (we noticed).

First manufacturer to build something as fun as the 96 sea doo xp will win everyone. Lightweight and power. By far one of the most sought after used you see everywhere but sadly not many left
Kevin, I am 53 and in 2023 i purchased my 1st pwc. got the GTI 170 and loved it for the whole family. within 3 months i had to get another. 2023 FX SVHO cruiser for myself. we go once a year to the gulf of mexico and do some offshore riding. Just got back from the 2024 Poker Run Texoma!! what a blast. i have to say, i am loving this new to me hobby. Its the next best thing since my wife made/asked me to sell off my motorcycle. I really enjoy your video's as well. they go hand in hand with what i am doing today. thank you sir. much appreciated
I wanted a new Waveblaster based on the Superjet hull. Think about how awesome that would be.

Yamaha lost touch with their roots and their new generation woke engineers forgot how to build durable and reliable machines. They are spending R&D dollars on software and entertainment rather than sorting out their fundamental issues like paint and SVHO oiling
Blatant copying might be shameful for the manufacturer, but as a customer i couldn't care less. As long as it's an improvement why would i?
That's the difference between a passionate member of a sport/hobby and a mindless consumer.
I was ready with the dealer to replace my 1800SVHO with 1900SVHO. We were both shocked that it didn't happen and of course I cancelled my request for a 2025 GP. Shame

Kevin i 100 percent agree with you on needing more rec lite categories!! I ride 90s skis because i dont want a 1100 pound couch with cup holders and a danm microphone 🤣 you talk to your guys and I will back you! I'm a nobody so my opinion won't matter but I will do what I can do lol

Might have said this before but I rarely use my sound system if I’m going to do a lot of my riding at high rpm. If it’s a casual day on the water I’ll use it but when I’m pushing my ski to the limit, I’d rather hear how my engine’s behaving

Pretty much every time we have to work on my ski or the family boat or really any vehicle, we go to my Uncle’s airplane hangar. Got all the toys 😁
Have they sorted the fuel alarm this year, 2024 alarm still goes with 20litres after the supposed update to resolve
So regarding the colours, one possibility is that both SeaDoo and Yamaha are looking at the same reports for fashion/colour trends for the upcoming year and using those colours on their ski's.
In the fashion world, there is one company that puts out a report every year that basically predicts (and in a way dictates) what the trends for the next season will be and all the fashion/clothing companies look at the report and design their clothing to suit the future trends. I wonder if that is why SeaDoo and Yamaha have such similar colours for their ski's.
Big thing I see with the Blaster is that the fuel tank is nearly double the size of the Spark and is in the nose also. An extra 50lbs of fuel on top of the extra 110+ lbs of weight will definitely be felt. Not sure where the real advantage of having all that extra fuel on a machine that is meant for short spurts of fun. If it was designed to be an adventure type machine sure, but not for something that is to be jumping spinning and wheelie’in(NOT). Have a feeling the real fun will be had when you throw $20 in it a time to have it more playful.
It's a shame that you cannot remove the entertainment functions like speakers/microphone and the extra stuff when buying a new svho :/
This will definitely keep me from buying one. I hate the speakers. They look terrible and they don't even sound good. My local dealer here in Alabama has so many sitting in the showroom they can't sell. All with speakers.

I've always wanted a Yamaha FX Cruiser HO if they would add a windshield option like Sea-Doo does. Yamaha doesn't adjust, so I will. I'm buying a GTX300 with windshield or new Explorer Pro if they change color scheme.
So you have “reliable sources” that you just completely disregard? You also bash the only other reviewer TK (someone who's actually seen and been on the skis) and then say he had said some things that were glaringly wrong in his review without pointing out what those things were? Add that to the way you treat viewers when they ask for ski recommendations and you tell them your time is “too valuable,” in your other videos. Would’ve appreciated some additional good information but this review was sadly just another rant. WCJ has been a big disappointment lately.
Funny how saying "he's a nice guy" and "he loves this stuff" is considered bashing. But yes, performing a "top speed run" with the trim set ALL THE WAY DOWN, a full tank of gas and using the dash speedo is super scientific. Thanks for watching, Jack.
The “nice guy” and “he loves this stuff” comes off as disingenuous and condescending when preempted by “he made grievous errors in his review of the jetblaster,” and “im sucking air through my teeth, stuff that was blatantly wrong.” when you yourself have not even had your hands on the ski. I mean if all youre talking about was his colors comments then id take it back. Just sayin, a little humility would go a long way IMO…
Btw, hp/wt ratio was done wrong 😂 you guys divided wt by hp instead of hp by wt. rookies
The orange black cruiser ho is literally the same color scheme as the svho limited from last year. Not that it’s a problem, but just find it funny

Lol low sales! People want couches with gadgets on them sadly. Not many 45 year Olds like myself riding waveblasters x2s and stand ups!!they want speakers rod and cooler holders and some want windshields lol
@@jeffbryner5355 maybe true in your world. Not in mine. There is a waiting list for stand ups at my local dealership. But I know you are speaking truth for the average PWC buyer. Such a shame the average American is an overweight couch rider! MAKE STAND UPS GREAT AGAIN.

Msuga!!!!! 🤣 🤘 yeah my local yamaha dealer has sold what they can sell for the year but that's just one location and besides my group that runs bouys when there not racing you don't see alot and that's a shame! The people who try to ride my superjet and waveblaster and just give up are very high. People don't want to take the time to learn and are out of shape. I'm 45 and none of my friends my age or close to can ride it. Hell I had a 18 year old that couldn't get on my blaster in deep water. My 14yr old had to go rescue him lol. People want comfort and luxury and it has made the oem pwc industry boring. Hell are they really pwc's anymore or just small boats lol

@Jwilson330 yeah I'm on Oklahoma and you have your riders for sure. I have a group of friends who race amd run bouys every Sunday there not at a race but for the most part all you see are couches and people that don't realize they make 2024 stand ups but everyone knows what a spark and a fish pro is

Superjet was 9999 last year at my dealerships and they sold put of everyone they were allowed to get for the year
Yamaha has definitely lost a lot of buyers from all platforms, even the off road Yamahas are definitely depressing too, with that said im upset about the no 1.9 supercharger but hopefully i can steal a 2025 gp1800svhp in blue 😅
Wish Yamaha would perfect the Omega 1 engine (160hp @ 35 lbs) and put it in a ski. Still too pie in the sky, I guess.

Very disappointing no new svho. Yamaha will now be two years behind seadoos 325. Speaker improvements without bumping up the watts makes me skeptical that they're any better. Currently I can't hear mine much over 40mph.
Superjet is maybe $200 more
seeing the company yamha has turned into it makes me not want to buy their products my next ski will be a sea doo
